I was informed in the email sent for my first appointment that the consultation would take approx one to one and a half hrs maybe more if I was having tests. I saw the consultant and had the tests, this took no more than 10-15 minutes. In my experience of having private consultation I don’t think this was a consultation, I was told someone will call me and give me details of the treatment, I was not given a time or day when this phone call would take place. I tried to ask questions about the treatment but was told they would explain all to me in the phone call. I called next day as I had other commitments the following days and weeks and may have missed their call. I was given the information about the treatment on the phone, I asked if I was paying for this phone call and was told that I would not be charged. I was charged and paid for the tests on the day, after the phone call I later received an invoice for the consultation of £300, so basically I was charged for a phone consultation as I don’t believe I got a consultation on the day that warranted this amount of money. I am really disappointed with this kind of service, I believe if I’m paying for a private consultation I should be given the time face to face so that I can ask questions and understand the treatment that I will be paying for. This was not NHS where you are only allocated a small amount of time, which is why I am so disappointed with this service and the costs which is unwarranted.

Dr Farah Rehman

Dr Rehman is exceptional! In this meeting, as in all the others, she demonstrated an in-depth knowledge of the issues and her communication was excellent. She always brought us into the solution by helping us understand her prescription choices and the rationale behind them. Further, she paid attention to what we had to say about the symptoms etc. and importantly, also our state of mind and opinions. This was particularly reassuring. When she couldn’t give us exactly what we requested or suggested, she always helped we understand why and then provide more suitable alternatives. She came up with some treatment suggestions that we weren’t initially keen on but on further reflection, realise those may actually be perfect. In this meeting, as with all the others, she demonstrated, professionalism, knowledge understanding and empathy. And it’s perhaps her empathy and care that have always stood out the most, and given us that needed reassurance throughout the process.

My consultation and treatment with Dr. Humpries has been superb, form start to finish. From first consultation, coming as a patient from another consultant, through the colonoscopy and post procedure results follow up, Dr. Humphries was always extremely kind, taking all the time needed to hear my concerns and address all questions I had, and has always put me at ease, explaining things in a clear and calm manner, leaving no stone unturned regards treatment options and making me feel reassured after the procedures done. I have no words to express my gratitude to him, and all his team of assistants, nurses, and his exceptional PA, Kristina Cervenanska, who has been outstanding, on helping me arranging things in such short notice, from day one. Thank you all, for your compassionate manners, and your commitment to provide excellent care to all your patients. I'm lucky to be oe of them, Thank you!

Dr. Omer Ahmad

Dr Omar Ahmed was introduced to my case after a planned colonoscopy was performed. There was a complication with an abnormal polyp and he stepped in and took charge of the situation. He had to seek permission to perform the intricate surgery he wanted to perform and then succeed in performing it expertly. Dr Omar Ahmed wants to keep me in his care as a long term patient to ensure that any other abnormalities are dealt with as quickly, swiftly and in my opinion expertly as possible. I have never had this kind of treatment and care from any other doctor or consultant in the past and I can’t express how grateful and thankful I am that Dr Omar Ahmed treated me and wants to continue to treat me. The general experience was excellent - all the staff readily on call any time of the day or night. Although I had some blood pressure problems, it was dealt with efficiently. I would like to identify Aiden as a particularly lovely person who made me feel very relaxed in a stressful situation. The physios were also very good. I would have liked a more detailed discharge plan for exercises to aid my recovery. The pain killers given on discharge seem to be only mildly effective and my pain level remains quite high. I have a lot of bruising on my thigh, which l wasn't told as a possibility. I wasn't given any information about ways to help with the stiffness. Overall, I would recommend the hospital to anyone

I have had multiple appointments and a procedure with kingsbridge, the administration staff are honestly the worst i have came across. From not being able to get through to messed up appointments it is shocking for what you charge in a private hospital. The reception staff at ballykelly are also horrendous. When visiting the hospital i was standing at the reception desk for 10 minutes before i was attended to whilst the receptionists were cursing and slagging off other staff and patients. I would really hope this feedback is taken seriously because I myself will not be back in kingsbridge as a patient due to the outcome of all of this!

I am extremely pleased with the service provided by Mr Floyd. My old breast implants had ruptured some time ago and needed replacing, but I was very apprehensive about having the surgery because of my age (senior!). In the event, everything went really well. Mr Floyd explained the options clearly, and was reassuring about my concerns. The surgery went smoothly and six weeks later, I feel back to normal. I’m very happy with the outcome - my breasts now look and feel much more natural and comfortable, as well as more age appropriate.

I waited longer than usual for my appointment but Mr Sharma was very apologetic. He examined and more importantly listened to me about my concerns. The follow up letter arrived promptly so action could be taken. He gave me a referral for an appointment to have steroid injection which I obtained within 24 hrs. Sadly the referral letter had a couple of mistakes but these were rectified very quickly. Very impressed with the process and we are all individuals so mistakes can happen.

Mr Gavin Macpherson

I booked into the Murrayfield on Wednesday and was operated on that day and back in bed with nursing support.The next day was very busy with visits from all Depts. including a visit from Mr. Macpherson. My condition was passed by all the representatives from the various Depts. and I felt content and confident in my care and surroundings. I rate this situation 5 Star. Friday was discharge day again very busy but all was achieved on time. Thank you

I had a knee replacement and had a reaction to the anaesthetic which resulted in me having to spend several days in bed vomiting copiously. The staff were so supportive and caring; the nurses couldn’t help enough, the porters, physios, catering staff and cleaning crew were good natured , helpful and thorough. Since arriving home I have had numerous phone conversations with Horder staff, who have been reassuring and helpful with my recovery.
