I was recently and specifically referred by my optician to Prof. Luff to have treatment on my cataracts. Over recent years I have suffered from oedema in my retina which was now relatively stable and I wanted to receive the highest level of treatment so as to avoid any impact on my retina and a return to the sight problems that I had previously. I understood that there was potential for this to occur with normal cataract surgery. From the time of my first appointment through to my cataract procedures, Prof. Luff was extremely professional, approachable, supportive and totally dedicated to providing the best outcomes possible for my eyes. He advised me on the lenses most suited for my eyes, fully explained what was going to happen and the surgery was then conducted within a few days. The cataract procedures took only about 15 to 20 minutes, I was put at ease throughout and they were totally painless. I can now genuinely say that cataract surgery is not something to be frightened of and is totally painless. My resulting eyesight is extremely good and any potential impact on my retina was completely avoided. I can only give Prof. Luff the highest praise and recommendation. If anyone is concerned about having treatment on.their eyes, eyesight is so important that I would say don't leave it too late and Prof. Luff would be the first port of call that I would highly recommend.

I also want to highlight the great service from the team at Shirley Oaks Hospital, especially with the follow-up dressing changes, which were handled with kindness and professionalism. I don’t have private medical insurance, but I was very happy with the overall cost and felt the treatment offered excellent value for money. I arrived at 8.50 for a 9 am appointment. Was taken for a urine test which was irrelevant to why I was there and I never saw any results of. At 9.01 I saw the Dr arriving in the clinic. I was told she had a telephone appointment. At 9.15 I saw a patient leave her consulting room and was eventually seen. Despite having filled out the pre questionaire with my medication Dr Carulli couldn't find it but instead wanted to go through them. But then in her covering letter to my GP missed out significant ones like statins. Dr Carulli listed herself as a specialist in Osteoporosis but didn't seem to know a lot - at one point asking why there were two scores in my DEXA scan (one is the T score one is the z score a WEB MD search can tell you that...).

I had bunion surgery with Mr. David Gordon in late June. It was all straightforward, exactly how Mr. Gordon explained it in his online meeting. He did additional surgery on two of my small toes, which has also greatly improved my mobility. My recovery has been swift with almost no pain or swelling. I'm really pleased with my 'new toes'. The only slight niggle I have is with the coordation with the London Clinic. I paid for a package but got chased by their accounts department. Generally I think there needs to be an easy system that makes follow ups more stream lined.

I have recently undergone a long course of treatment which included several fillings, and one that ended up needing to a root canal treatment resulting in a crown thereafter. Being a fairly anxious dental patient i was a bit stressed but really didnt need to be as all went well. Staff were friendly and helpful and on the odd occasion that appointents ran late they would communicate this well. Levi my dentist was very calm and professional through all my appointments and put my ease.

My daughter had her tonsils removed here last week. The whole experience was amazing. The room that she was brought too was lovely and so clean . The staff were all so nice and put her at ease . She wasn’t scared at all and didn’t want to leave when it was time to go . I couldn’t recommend this place enough.
