About Mr Zameer Shah
Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Mr Zameer Shah, specialises in hip and knee surgery at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals in London, where he carries out routine hip and knee surgery and takes on complex referrals from across the country. He also treats a wide range of conditions including sports injuries, arthritis, and trauma.
Mr Shah gained his medical qualification in 1997 from Kings College London before training in a number of different surgical areas in Cambridge, Oxford, and London. He later spent time as a research fellow at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital where he studied the use of stem cells. Mr Shah was chosen as an International Fellow at the renowned Insall Scott Kelly Institute and at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. Upon his return to the UK, he went on to complete a second Fellowship at Guy's Hospital.
Mr Shah has a passion for research and education. He is currently a Senior Clinical Lecturer at Kings College London and is also involved in national trials and programs to further medical knowledge.
In his time outside of the hospital, Mr Shah enjoys football, cricket, tennis, badminton, and mountaineering. He also enjoys travelling, reading history, and learning to play the piano.

Mr. Shah has always listened to me and understood exactly what I was going through. In fact, he was one of the first people that actually did listen to me. I am so happy with the care I have been given by Mr Shah and his team since 2023. I want to thank the team and specifically Mr Shah for what he has done for me.

As always, Mr Shah was reassuring in his manner and set my mind at ease regarding my recent situation. I can not thank him enough for his continuing support and I feel very fortunate to have him as my consultant.
Mr Zameer Shah has been increasingly professional throughout. He has been informative and answered my many questions in a reassuring and calm manner, that has helped me into my corrective hip surgery and the recovery process.
I have rheumatoid arthritis which eventually necessitated the need for replacement operations to both his hips. I have been under the care of Mr Zameer Shah for many years. I believe he is a compassionate Surgeon and a true professional who takes pride in doing the best he can for all his patients. I can't thank Mr Shah enough for all that he has done to ensure I am recovering well and now walking pain free and enjoying life again.
Mr Shah was very courteous and patient throughout our meeting. He answered my questions and kindlybaddressed my concerns. I left the meeting feeling by far more confident and reassured that I was on the right path towards recovery. I expressed my gratitude to Mr Shah and his team for their dedication and professionalism that they have always demonstrated. Thank you Mr Shah and your team for helping me feel better, healthier and stronger.
