Mr Ross Elledge is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon practising at Spire Parkway Hospital, The Priory Hospital, Edgbaston and The Westbourne Centre. His NHS post is at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, where he was appointed in 2018. Mr Elledge has subspecialty interests in skin cancer and temporomandibular disorders. He also has an interest in medical education and is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Birmingham.
Mr Elledge gained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours from the University of Malta in 2003 with the highest mark in his year and spent a few years working for the state health service in Malta before moving to the UK where he worked in Paediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. He later completed the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow before undertaking an accelerated medical degree at the University of Birmingham, which he completed in 2010, coming first in his year and gaining the Sir Arthur Thomson Gold Medal and the Chancellor's Prize.
Mr Elledge undertook his core surgical training in Plastic Surgery around the West Midlands and completed the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons exams in 2012. Following higher training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, he completed sub-specialty Fellowships in Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery and the Management of Skin Cancer, and he is a member of the skin cancer Multi-disciplinary Team (LSMDT) at Solihull Hospital. He is also one of a handful of surgeons in the United Kingdom trained to provide total alloplastic replacement of the temporomandibular joint.
Mr Elledge is currently an Associate Editor for the British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Education Lead for higher trainee in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the West Midlands.

I'm grateful for the exceptional care provided by Ross. He’s very easy going, but his compassionate approach and clear communication before, during, and after, made the entire process reassuring. I have barely visible scars within weeks of treatment, due to his expertise and precision in performing the procedure.

Mr Elledge was efficient whilst maintaining a pleasant attitude. His treatment was amazing I had stitches and you cannot see them! Nothing was too much trouble he saw me when I was worried about something within a few hours. He called me personally to reassure me about a concern of mine. Excellent service certainly going above and beyond during all stages of my treatment.

Mr Ellege and his team were brilliant. Communication was great, I got an appointment in good time and the follow up surgery to remove a BCC from my scalp was soon after initial consultation. I’m so glad I decided to go private for this surgery and found Mr Elledge. Surgery was done on a weekend so no time off work required! Initial consultation and follow up appointment afterwards were also great! Would definitely return to Mr Elledge should the need arise in the future.

Having switched over to Nexus CMF arthroscopes in my private practice (and also making the commitment to advance my arthroscopic skills) clear views, improved mouth opening and reduced pain are increasingly the expected outcomes that many patients can now benefit from. I found Ross Elledge to be courteous, and thorough in explaining the results of my Ultrasound. His decision not to operate I’m sure, under the circumstances, was the right one, and he has left the ‘door open’ in case of further issues. Very reassuring.

He is an editor of the British Journal or Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. I have both presented with him on the same stage, worked with him as he expands his expertise and worked with him on textbooks of OMFS. One of the few surgeons in the UK who I would recommend and send patients to for a second opinion on TMD management
