    Dr Scott Gall

    Cardiologist

    5.0

    Verified

I contacted Dr Gall following a diagnosis of atrial fibrillation and possible atrial flutter, on a personal recommendation. Although I had been referred within the NHS, this had not been tagged as urgent, and the wait time even for an initial consultation was likely to be a year. Between booking my initial consultation with Dr Gall and seeing him in person, I had a TIA (fortunately short-lasting with no after-effects) which certainly focused my mind on achieving a more speedy resolution. Dr Gall explained what was going wrong inside my heart, and what the possible options were to mitigate and/or resolve these. I found him to be very approachable and reassuring while we proceeded through some tests to establish an absence of sleep apnoea and that I would be suitable for ablation surgery, which was clearly the optimal treatment. I was booked for surgery within a few weeks of the test results coming back and a second consultation with Dr Gall. This took place at the Spire Hospital in South Manchester. I was there just over 24 hours in total, and was in theatre and recovery for somewhere around 4 hours. Dr Gall came to see me before the operation, had a brief chat in the theatre as I walked in, and then dropped into my room again after I had come round. Again, he was very reassuring at all times, and took time to explain why the operation had taken a little longer than necessary but that he was completely happy with how it had turned out. He paid me a final visit on his way home in the evening, again just to check that I was well and what to expect afterwards. I had excellent treatment from all the staff in Dr Gall's team at the hospital, and should say that several of them told me how much they appreciated working with him, saying that he always explained things clearly to them, encouraged them to ask questions if they were unsure, and made them feel everyone was part of a team. Post-surgery, I have seen Dr Gall on two further occasions to review further heart monitor results, and have now been signed off. He has always continued to reassure me that these results are everything he would hope for after a successful operation, and that all being well, we won't have to meet again. Following my experience, I can't recommend Dr Gall highly enough, and wish him well in the future as he continues to change patients lives for the better.

Anna has helped me completely change my life, I can't describe how thankful I am. Before our sessions I was too afraid to leave my room and was too depressed to care for myself, I couldn't picture a future for myself and didn't want to. I felt like I was too far gone for any therapy to help me, and worried that having such a mixture of mental health problems (depression, anxiety, EUPD, anorexia/bulimia, ADHD, autism) would make it difficult to find someone who could actually help. Now I'm back in college working towards applying to university, I've volunteered and even passed my driving test, and I actually feel hopeful for my future. Anna believed in me the whole time and taught me how to believe in myself. She taught me so many useful skills that I am going to use for the rest of my life. Annas gentle, caring and open minded approach helped me feel so at ease during the sessions and I trusted that I could tell her anything and she would never be judgemental or make me feel guilty for thinking or feeling a certain way like other therapists I've had in the past did. She never pressured me to talk about anything I didn't feel comfortable with, and even though our sessions were mostly focused on my anxiety, she still helped me so much with my other problems as well, either actively through talking about them directly, or passively by teaching me skills that I could apply to multiple different situations. I found the way she explained the reasoning behind certain thought or behaviour patterns incredibly enlightening and definitely aided in me overcoming those patterns that I struggled with as it gave me a better understanding of why and how they occured so I could either figure out how to stop them from happening in the first place or realise why they were happening and just let them pass without judging myself for them. I'm so grateful I found Anna, she has genuinely been the best therapist I've ever had.

From the moment you walk through the doors, you can tell this is a practice that genuinely cares about its patients. The staff are always incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional they make you feel comfortable straight away, which is especially reassuring if you’re someone who feels nervous about visiting the dentist. The practice itself is modern, bright, and beautifully maintained. Everything is spotless and has a calm, relaxing atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. The reception team are efficient and kind, and the whole place runs so smoothly that appointments always feel well-organised and on time. The dental team are outstanding. They take the time to listen, explain each step of your treatment clearly, and answer any questions you might have. You never feel rushed they make sure you understand what’s happening and that you’re comfortable throughout your visit. Their attention to detail and level of care is exceptional, and it’s clear that they take real pride in the quality of their work.

The Spire Wellesley is a quiet calm hospital. The facilities are always clean and well cared for, the staff attentive and pleasant. You can expect the path of your time with them to be fully and clearly explained and information of who will attend you, when and for what reason. You are prepared as soon as you arrive and surgery follows swiftly, which leaves you very little time to overthink or get anxious. I was never left worried, every member of staff introduced themselves and did whatever was necessary to reassure me and provide whatever was needed. It was all very quick and over before I knew it, for which I am grateful. You certainly will not be left hungry or thirsty, food is excellent, the selection is wide. My stay was relatively short, my surgery went well, my recovery and activity level after surgery good and whilst I could have stayed a 2nd night I was allowed to go home as there were no concerns. So I was on for a little over 24hrs altogether.

I have visited St Joseph’s a number of times for consultations and have always had a good experience. However as a day case today there was quite a wait for the appointment to begin. It was uncomfortable in the waiting area with a cold draught blowing in through sliding doors. The letter stated the admission was at 5pm but were only called in at 5.40pm. The procedure went well and the nurses/assistants were very friendly. The facility was clean and clutter free. However the consultant then went into this busy waiting area and informed my relative, who accompanied me, with the results of the procedure in front of other patients and staff. This was highly inappropriate and the hospital needs to ensure there are private areas to discuss medical information in future. For a privately paying service one would expect there to be better controls and more discretion to be provided for medical procedures.

My father was seen short notice on Wednesday the 5th of November which was very much appreciated. Unfortunately he did not have a good experience on his visit. The consultant came to see him in the waiting room and made him roll up his trousers and examined him in front of other people in the waiting room. He made him walk across the room with his trousers rolled up and as my father's hearing is not good he began to talk really loudly to him in front of these other people. I was with him and to be honest it was very degrading and embarrassing for a 79 year old man. He more or less told my father to get on with it and stop taking any antibiotics that were prescribed by his GP. My father ended up having an infection in his knee but unfortunately this man was very dismissive when my father said the knee was sore and had a lump on it and made us feel like we were just bothering him.

Staff are amazing and caring, the problem is not enough staff, only 2 at a time on dementia unit. When they are assisting someone in their room there are no staff to keep an eye on residents in rest of unit. These residents have little understanding of their behaviour or instructions, have poor mobilty and coordination. Myself, as a visitor has had to intervene on several occasions to prevent falls or fighting, and I witnessed other visitors doing the same. This is not my job. I can't fault what the staff do, they go above and beyond and do their best, the issue is understaffing. I'm not making these comments to cause trouble but because I have concerns about safeguarding and feel that all is needed is more appropriate staffing levels. There should also be a male carer on at all times for male residents, and always the same group of staff for familiarity.

I have had an excellent experience with Neil and the Transform Health team. From the first phone call the team were friendly, professional, and genuinely caring. Neil took the time to understand my specific needs and created a personalized treatment plan that has really worked. After just a few sessions, I have noticed a huge improvement in my mobility and pain levels. After previously being told I will always have pain and may need to think about changing my career, Neil has shown me how to manage and treat my pain, allowing me to continue working the job I love. I highly recommend Transform Health to anyone looking for effective, professional, and compassionate care.

I saw Dr Eleanor Beddoe today for the first time as I usually see Dr Alice Scott. I would like to say that the level of service was exemplary. Dr Eleanor is every bit as warm, friendly and approachable as Dr Alice. Super understanding and very clear in their explanations of proposed treatments. I am absolutely delighted with EPD, I do recommend the HRT clinic to all my friends- even though it might make it slightly more difficult to get an appt- but now I just rebook for the next time, so it's perfect. It's incredibly annoying that not everyone can afford access to such great care, I just feel fortunate I am able to. Thanks so much for the wonderful job your team do.

I was referred to Dr Singh after a Trimalleolar fracture and dislocation to my right ankle in March last year. I did not regain full range of motion in my ankle after over a year of physio and did not know what was causing it. Dr Singh was incredibly helpful and instantly made me feel positive about my recovery journey and suggested procedures which could improve my motion. After removing an internal screw and undergoing an ankle arthroscopy, I am delighted that I now have more range of motion in my ankle and less pain. I can’t thank Dr Singh enough for everything he has done. Thank you!

I attended MWH Clinic and had consultations with Ms Latthe & an ultrasound scan performed by Dr Balogun. Ms Latthe was fantastic and thoroughly addressed my health concerns - I felt very reassured. I would definitely return to Ms Latthe if I required any surgical treatment in the future. Dr Balogun was so lovely and very kind. I was made to feel very comfortable throughout & her assistant made my feel totally at ease. I cannot fault the service I have received. Booking appointments was a seamless process & Nicole was excellent in all communications. Many thanks

Throughout this journey, Mr. Chatoo has been exemplary in providing clear, comprehensive information that enabled me to make informed decisions about the best treatment options for my condition and overall quality of life. Following the initial surgery and subsequent plate removal, my knee is now in excellent shape. I cannot recommend Mr. Chatoo highly enough.

Mr Agrawal was honest and clear with me, explaining what to do and what not to do, both preparing for my operation and explaining recovery. He explained what to do and not to when preparing me for returning to work. It would be helpful for those suffering with Osteoarthritis, as I did for twelve years prior to surgery, to know how to manage their pain and daily life through the exercises; I wish I had known the specific exercises earlier than I did.
