Dr Rajah was extremely thorough. A complete gentleman from beginning to end. Explained in great detail the process I was in, what stage of the process I was at, what’s coming next, then the surgery and the recovery process. He was the most personable Consultant ive ever met. Most it seems are trying to get you in and out asap. Mr Rajah, knowing he was behind schedule and knowing by my body language that I had questions to ask, made sure I asked anything I was uncertain about. The pinnacle of professionalism. Knowing that it’s him will be operating on me put me at ease. I’ve twins at 9yo and to be honest the anaesthetic was worrying me, but now I feel better about it. You wait a long time on getting surgery, but when it arrives all the apprehension arrives along with it but I’m more settled that it’s himself. If this gets back to Mr Rajah, I’d met Consultants and Doctors over the years and I’m sorry to say I felt like a number where 99% where concerned, please don’t ever lose that empathy with the patient Mr Rajah, it’s the one thing that people can see that gives us a reassurance.

The hospital is run like a well oiled ship. No need to be too early, as you have an appointment time and they will take you at that time. I went 30mins early, which was an extra 30mins of nervousness I brought on myself I could have done without! The staff are friendly and efficient. There are processes in place that give assurance that the hand over from nurse to surgeon and team are strict and everyone is on the same page as to who you are and what you are there for. The recovery was peaceful and friendly. And who doesn’t like toast and a hot cuppa after fasting for hours. My next appointment was delivered by email the very next day. I know I will be nervous going back, but it won’t be because I don’t feel I am in safe hands. Thanks to everyone who looked after me, from reception to consultant and everyone in between.

Very Pleased with the clarity of my vision after wearing Glasses, I had the Galaxy lense fitted and I now have full contrast and colour definition. I had my procedure done at Freedom Chelmsford. The team there were absolutely brilliant,friendly, professional. The procedure was very quick and painless. I could see the improvement immediately . It took a few days for my eyes to adjust as my prescription was very strong and complicated, (lazy left eye.) The hospital is modern ,spotless with excellent facilities and easy access plenty of parking and train. Special Thankyou to Nicola who coordinated everything from start to finish.

My health issues go well beyond my hip and Mr Ahmed took the time to listen and understand - ensuring my overall care was tailored to my needs. My recovery has been challenging, mainly due to my long-term back pain, but despite this I’ve been delighted by the relief gained from my new hip. The staff were so kind and helped me to relax when I went for egg collection. The Embryo transfer was a beautiful moment and they ensured it was marked with a photo of the embryo being transferred and a hand written card. Unfortunately, our first transfer was unsuccessful but I know we are in safe hands for our next steps. The admin team in particular have been amazing - responsive, sensitive and friendly. Staff were really lovely. Unfortunately don’t think the doctor had read my notes or referral before appointment he kept mentioning possible arthritis but my referral was because I had trapped nerves between my discs he mentioned swimming and Pilates I can tell you now there’s No way I can get on the floor and certainly couldn’t sit on any floor!!!!!the specialist who did the referral in wye sergers maybe he needs to read it AGAIN!!!
