I can only speak the highest praise for Mr. Grahovac as he was simply fantastic from the first consultation up to the end of my case. Mr. Grahovac spared no efforts to fully understand my very long and complicated case, from both a medical- as well as mental perspective. During our first consultation, he explained to me all the potential options we would have, with all their risks and benefits and weighted them against each other based on my individual situation. My personal health and trauma was carefully considered throughout every consultation. Mr. Grahovac organized various scans to make a truly informed decision of what would be best for me considering my circumstances. Every suggestion and step forward made completely sense to me. Without Mr. Grahovac, I would not have been able to find closure to a very severe, longlasting and traumatic accident I had. I felt completely cared for and understood at every step, and each step was based on a clear and Informed decision, which speaks for his professionalism and expertise in this medical field. He is now my consultant of choice regarding anything related to Spine or Neck cases and I can easily recommend him to anybody.

I did have to wait a while before I was seen, maybe 30 minutes or so, but all the staff were wonderful, caring and reassuring all the way through to being cared for after the procedure. However I feel that the consultant over sprayed the anaesthetic in my throat, he sprayed about 3-4 squirts in my throat, stood back for a moment then sprayed another 3-4 squirts, some of which ended up going into the back of my nasal passages at the back of my throat which gave me a terrible burning sensation in the back of my nasal passages. Maybe this amount is normal, but having had the procedure at another establishment some years earlier, I had no such experience, again I found that there was so much mucus in my throat from the anaesthetic after the procedure that I found myself gagging on the mucus and I was coughing loads of it up into tissues the nurse had to provide me with. Plus I was unable to swallow properly for what seemed like ages. But over all, the staff were wonderful and very caring, but if I need this again, after this experience, I think I would prefer to be sedated.

In theatre, I had to say I couldn’t open my eyes fully as the plastic covering placed over my eyes was rucked and digging into my previously operated rt. eye.. This was then corrected. A large amount of iodine was instilled to my left eye ( later discovered it was all in my hair ), and I said it felt so painful that I was sure my eye was not anaesthetised. I was then told I would have lots more anaesthetic drops which I believe happened. But I felt the eye speculum being put in and the sensation, not pain, of a tiny curved cut to the nose side of my eyes and then the sensation moved to the opposite side of my eye , where I had a sort of digging sensation, no pain, for a couple of seconds. No further discomforts or sensations felt, just extreme relief to be over the ordeal. However good communication throughout and attention paid to what I was experiencing. My eye was completely comfortable afterwards and my recovery was first class for which I am most grateful.

Speaking to Dr Burcombe provides me with an immense sense of reassurance, his manner is calm and friendly. I have a mammogram booked for tomorrow and am in a state of anxiety, Dr Burcombe empathised with how I was feeling without provide meaningless reassurance. He made me smile with the term scaniexty and when I came off the phone I did feel a lot more reassured.

I would highly recommend King Edward VII's hospital to anyone! After being bashed around the NHS, i decided to go private and felt like I got the absolute best care at this hospital. Everyone in the team was so friendly, professional and quick to respond. I felt thoroughly looked after throughout my outpatients and inpatients. I stayed a total of 3 days/3 nights at this hospital and I wasn't desperate to leave. The food is top quality and the team have been highly trained. I wouldn't choose to go anywhere else.

Dr Katherine Spencer-Smith was delightful. I created some confusion turning up for an appointment I had actually cancelled in my own confusion. Katherine very graciously agreed to see me anyway despite it disrupting her schedule. She had a very cheery and pleasant manner and looked at my condition from a different perspective to previous doctors which made perfect sense to what I was feeling. Despite my error over the appointment she gave me plenty of time and didn't rush the appointment at all.

Couldn’t get an NHS GP appointment for 3 weeks to authorize repeat prescription before holidays. Dr online scheduled a 15 minute appointment same day for £40 and issued the prescription which I am able to collect from a local pharmacy within a couple of days. God bless the NHS but it is SICK!
