I booked and paid for a private online consultation with Dr Vinesan Naidoo regarding persistent hyperprolactinaemia confirmed on blood tests (monomeric prolactin approx. 590 mIU/L; total prolactin approx. 704 mIU/L) with ongoing symptoms including low libido, low energy, anxiety, poor sleep and mood issues. This appointment was extremely disappointing. From the start, I was interrupted repeatedly and not allowed to explain my symptoms properly. The doctor quickly dismissed the issue as “physiological” and “not a medical concern” despite clearly abnormal blood results and clear symptoms affecting my quality of life. What I found most frustrating is that he seemed to assume he knew better than I do about what I’m experiencing, essentially implying that raised prolactin at these levels cannot cause symptoms — even though it is well known that prolactin elevation can affect libido, mood, energy and sexual function in men. There was no structured assessment and no clear plan. The consultation did not cover: possible causes of raised prolactin repeat testing plan (fasting, stress-controlled, early morning) medication/supplement review endocrine referral pathway whether pituitary imaging should be considered if prolactin remains elevated As a patient paying privately, I expected a professional, thorough medical discussion. Instead, I felt dismissed and rushed, and left with no help, no reassurance, and no next steps. I cannot recommend this doctor based on my experience. I paid for a medical consultation, but what I received was an opinion with no investigation, no plan and no clinical value.

When my BCC diagnosis was confirmed, it was very scary and I wondered how things would progress and what outcome could be achieved. The first stage was to research the options. The main one being to identify the best procedure and the best surgeon. MOHS surgery came out as the best option for success, in terms of reoccurrence and the overall cosmetic appearance. Dr Aslam topped the list to perform this surgery. The initial consultation with Dr Aslam proved I had made the right choice. From the very start I felt confident and reassured. On the day of the surgery I was naturally very nervous. However, Dr Aslam and his excellent team helped considerably to reduce any tension. The whole team, Lisa, Gina and Sheila made conversation throughout the surgery and as such it was possible to have a couple of laughs. Don’t be afraid about being awake. The results? Well I could not be more pleased. The outcome has exceeded my expectations and to say I am pleased is an understatement. I am genuinely thrilled. My second “follow up” appointment was today (3 weeks after surgery) and Dr Aslam is equally thrilled. I can’t finish this review without mentioning Claire, the very efficient and helpful secretary to Dr Aslam. Please be in no doubt that choosing Dr Aslam and his team will, in my opinion be the best choice you can make. Terese

Miss Mehra is my consultant and performed my total abdominal hysterectomy. She has done a wonderful job. She is incredibly skilled and her surgical skills are excellent. She kept me informed and despite me delaying the surgery for almost a year, Miss Mehra was very understanding and did not put any pressure on me to do the surgery. She gave me all the information I needed and allowed me time to digest and come to my own informed decision. Miss Mehra made me feel genuinely looked after and was very empathetic, calm and reassuring. Despite my anxiety and nerves about the surgery, I am truly thankful for her profressionalism and kindness throughout the whole process. Miss Mehra has also recommended alternative treatment for my symptoms post surgery and has also offered to see me to ensure continuity of care.

He took the time to properly explain my condition and walked me through all the available treatment options. I found his explanations very clear and easy to understand, and I felt confident that he really knew what he was talking about. Throughout the consultation, I felt listened to and supported. He answered all my questions patiently and made sure I felt comfortable with the plan we discussed. I left the appointment feeling reassured, informed, and pleased with the treatment plan going forward. I would definitely recommend Dr Hughes to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate dermatologist.

I was referred to Dr Besherdas three months ago. From my first meeting, I knew I was in safe hands. I have had two endoscopies. The team at CCH were so kind and supportive that I felt relaxed at the end of the procedures. I am now on the road to recovery. Having had a history of health issues, I have never felt as comfortable with a consultant as with Dr Besherdas. He is a leading diagnostician in his field. He is kind, listens to his patients and genuinely cares for their welfare. A one-off! Karen, Dr Besherdas’s secretary, is amazing – friendly plus quick and efficient in booking appointments and dealing with queries. For me, finding Dr Besherdas was the best thing that happened for a long time.

HCA should be proud of the quality of patient staff. I was well looked after well by everyone. I sincerely hope reviews like this are picked up and the staff in question are praised DIRECTLY by MANAGEMENT (as I know that Mr Haq gives them feedback). All too often I see pictures of management and statements of values etc but the front facing staff don’t get the praise and recognition they deserve. I have full confidence in Mr Haq who gave me full confidence in the care and health actions throughout the process. I also single out Dr Robert Gardiner (spelling?) who showed quick thinking, attentiveness and high emotional intelligence when I was in the drop in clinic leading to hospital admission.

I attended an appointment with my mum as she has been referred for cataract surgery. Upon arrival we had a warm friendly welcome. When mum was called in I explained to the lady that mum is profoundly deaf and she lip read's and asked if she could look at mum when talking to her. Naz was absolutely amazing, she spoke clearly and looked at my mum when speaking and explained everything to her. Both myself and my mum were really impressed as it's not easy for my mum when people don't understand her deafness. The lady we saw after Naz was good with mum too. With our experience yesterday it put our minds at rest that mum will be helped and understood when she goes back for surgery.

Experience OK but to have to travel 80 mile round trip with 24 hrs notice was stressful, for the pre-accessment which I had to ask for, as not arranged. If I had been told on the information letter that if I was taking antibiotics I would need to have 4 weeks clear before I could have my procedure, this would have prevented me from excepting the procedure date I had been given. Therefore would have given the date to someone else. I had two weeks notice of my procedure which is OK if all information had been given to me. Find the administration side lacking. Lovely staff. .

It was a little overwhelming as I was expecting to discuss fitting a coil and whilst that was mentioned, I was advised about having surgery which was unexpected. I found myself agreeing to the surgery despite not knowing much about it. The risks were not explained and I didnt find out how the procedure would be executed or potential recovery time that might be required. I feel a bit confused about whether this is the right course of action or not. I was not pleased to receive a letter that claimed the risks were explained to me, when they were not.

Incredibly long wait times, and very poor communication. Repeated requests for infiormation I've already given them and they kept changing which "portal" they wanted to use. The diagnoses for one condition came as an email, with no human touch, no next steps, no follow-up. Was just left to fend for myself. The diagnoses for the other condition was by video call, with a very disenterested practitioner who clearler didn't take on board the severity of my struggles.

Lovely helpful doctor, didn't feel rushed, was listened too. Only reason no 5 star was hard to get through to reception and the inconvenience of being sent a letter for telephone appointment instead of agreed face to face appointment and not being able to get through to reception until the 11th hour to confirm and endure we had the correct appointment. Hospital was clean and looked well kept and staff were very friendly and attentive.

Mr Swan was exceptional. From the outset, he asked all the right questions and took the time to truly listen to my concerns. Kerry's leave of care is next level, Professional with a capital P! Dr Hunter is a man of his word, I felt listened to and reassured. Dr Hunter goes the extra mile. I will be a returning patient of the clinic as I couldn't fault anything and will recommend to anyone!
