20/10 I was recommended to Dr Alek by multiple friends, including one who is a doctor herself and trained under him. He came highly, highly recommended and is known as the best in the business — and I can completely understand why. From the moment I walked into the practice, I was warmly greeted by Sam, the practice administrator. She was friendly, welcoming, and made me feel right at home. Thank you, Sam! I’ve seen many aesthetic doctors and practitioners before, and Dr Alek is by far the best I’ve ever experienced. Previously, consultations felt rushed — numbing cream applied, a quick question about what I wanted, and straight into the procedure. With Dr Alek, it was completely different. We began with a thorough consultation where we discussed my concerns, the procedures I was interested in, and everything I’ve previously had done — including where, when, and any medications I’m on. He then did a full facial assessment, looking at proportions, symmetry, and structure. He carefully felt for any existing filler or lumps, explained what they were, and clearly walked me through what we can and can’t do moving forward. Everything was explained in a way that was detailed yet easy to understand. We created a thoughtful plan of action together, and what stood out most was that he never once tried to “sell” me on anything — something I’ve experienced with every other practitioner before. It’s immediately clear that he truly cares about his patients, has an incredible passion for what he does, and an exceptional eye for detail. He really knows his craft. Today we did Botox, and it was genuinely pain-free. He is precise, intentional, and incredibly gentle. As soon as I left, I couldn’t wait to call my husband and tell him how amazing the experience was. I’ve now officially joined my group of friends who cannot recommend Dr Alek highly enough. I have been very happy with my overall experience at Vision Scotland Edinburgh. The staff were both friendly and professional. I was well informed regarding my choices and the procedure. I have been thrilled with the result of the cataract surgery. I was given an appointment very soon after the referral. I would however like to let you know how I felt the experience on the day of the operation could have been improved. Firstly I was not sent the Post Op information which would have been most helpful to read before the procedure. Secondly I got very cold in theatre and was given a blanket but it did take me ages to warm up. It would have been better to have been given a blanket before the procedure started. There is a lot of cold water being used which does add to the chill. Thirdly I was not told to bring sunglasses for the journey home or to bring analogies both of which I would very much appreciated as I lived over a hour away. On the journey home I became extremely uncomfortable. Finally the roof of my mouth and tongue got a little burnt I think by the coffee as they must have been a little bit anaesthetised still when I had the coffee. The coffee however i have to say was absolutely welcome and the best thing along with the toasted teacake. I found it very reassuring to have a telephone number to call which I did use. I also very much appreciate the phone call from the nurse a couple of days post op. I hope you find the above comments of use. I do not wish to criticise as overall it was an extremely good experience and I would and have already recommended Vision Scotland. ( I did tell my neighbour to ask for a blanket!)

I had an ACL tear. Post surgery, before going to Ilias, I started with a physiotherapist that wasn’t as helpful nor professional. It was uncomfortable and decided to change my Physio. I spoke to TEN Health & Fitness and was paired with Ilias and couldn’t be happier with the care I received. From the start, Ilias was extremely friendly, approachable, and easy to trust, which made a huge difference throughout the rehab process. The programme was well-structured and clearly tailored to me, and over time we built real trust in both the process and the outcomes. I’ve now fully recovered and my knees feel stronger and more stable than they ever did before the injury. I’m genuinely more confident in my movement than I was pre-ACL. I’m back to playing football (the reason I tore my ACL), playing tennis, and even skiing! Highly recommend to anyone going through any type of muscle/tendon/bone injury and wants to heal.

Dr Catherine Spencer Smith was the first doctor to correctly diagnose my hip problem after I had previously been misdiagnosed by the NHS with a femoral hernia. Her assessment was extremely thorough and helped me clearly understand the true cause of my symptoms, including how they started after bunion surgery. Following my hip arthroscopy, she also helped me understand the cause of my lower back pain during recovery, reassuring me that the surgery itself was not the issue. She gave clear guidance on the physiotherapy I should follow and even offered to contact my physiotherapist directly, which I felt went well beyond what is normally expected. Her examinations are always precise, thoughtful, and very reassuring. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a careful and expert musculoskeletal opinion.

Dr Charlotte Frise is an excellent doctor. Despite the multiple complications I had, she had time for me even when she was off duty. She saw me through until I sailed through. I was never afraid at any point even when I couldn’t breathe and had oxygen of 80% on room air, I was motivated. Her smile was always soothing and reassuring, it felt like family. She treats patients like family and it’s heartwarming in difficult times. I begin to tear up when I express how I feel about the care she gave me. Am very impressed and grateful for her services. The NHS is blessed to have doctors like her.

Both occasions on visiting the practice have been fantastic. Having a fear of the dentist isn’t great, but the reassurance from the staff is absolutely second to none. Talking through the steps to give you an indication of what’s going on etc. checking in constantly to make sure everything is ok with the procedure taking place! The staff are professional and very friendly, the practice is probably one of the best I’ve ever visited. It doesn’t have a normal sterile dentist feel to it! Again a great experience for someone who isn’t particularly keen on visiting the dentist.

He organised an MRI promptly, which allowed him to diagnose my son accurately, and crutches were arranged immediately. Mr Sobti has been outstanding throughout – professional, thorough, and entirely focused on my son’s recovery. He never recommends unnecessary appointments, unlike some consultants. His priority is clearly his patients and their wellbeing, not his bank balance!

My consultation with Mr Wiseman was a follow up to Kidney stone surgery carried out on a large stone at the beginning of 2025, and specifically to discuss possible treatments to deal with the residual smaller stones left following the surgery. Mr Wiseman explained very clearly the options and ways to manage the condition. He also initiated further testing to help identify reasons for the stones and introduced new medication to help manage symptoms. I left with a clear action plan to follow.

I took my 14 yr old, slightly awkward son to see Mr Buddhev recently and he was fantastic with him. Mr Buddhev put Jonathan at ease and spoke directly to him in language that he could understand. Mr Buddhdev was particularly respectful of my son's sports focus and recognised what an important part of his life it is. My son sees a lot of consultants (unrelated to this) but was able to relate to Mr Buddhev better than some consultants that he's been seeing since birth. Heartfelt thanks

The doctor was very kind and gentle. However, I found the consultation to be largely limited to a question-and-answer format, with my questions receiving very brief responses. The mole check was carried out using a light, but the scalp (hair area) was not examined. I also asked her to look into other concerns; she responded kindly, but overall I did not find the consultation particularly thorough or reassuring, and it did not fully meet my expectations.

9/10 My Sonographer Rima Shah was fantastic, professional and informative. To improve the service i think it would be nice if a cardiologists could quickly glance/look over results and give a brief written note/summary of results/heart health. It is a shame that in order to get a cardiologists insight/reassurance I then have to rebook and pay for an additional appointment.

I contacted Ben at the Skin Surgery in 2025 to get a papule removed. The service and professionalism were second to none! A follow up treatment was required, where I received laser treatment, this was painless and delivered great results! Ben makes you feel informed, listened to, and very relaxed during the procedure!
