Recent visit was ok. My Nurses could have been better organised. On arrival no one was there to greet me despite being told to be there at 7.30 am I wasn’t told no one could come up and wait with you or be present after my procedure. The room for pre theatre and after theatre was far too small for 3 beds to be in it. It was also flat too hot in the room making me feel worse.. Unprepared for someone feeling unwell after the procedure. I did feel very rushed after my procedure despite feeling unwell! The doctor on shift however was very good. Nurses rushing to finish their shift in theatre to hand me over made me feel uneasy. Nurse looking after me rushing me out the door as it was past 8pm. I was worried about leaving as still felt pretty unwel. Overall was not tailored to my needs Surgeon & anaesthetist very good can’t fault them at all. Made me feel very at ease before my procedure.

I cannot recommend Mr. Midya highly enough. From my initial consultation through to post-operative care, he was the epitome of kindness, professionalism, and expertise. What truly set him apart was his ability to make a potentially stressful situation completely manageable. He is incredibly knowledgeable, taking the time to explain every detail of the surgery in a way that was clear and reassuring. Crucially, his fantastic sense of humour was a genuine comfort—it instantly put me at ease before the operation and even had me laughing post-surgery, (even if it did test his handiwork!) which was a brilliant start to my recovery. I had complete faith in his abilities, and the results of the surgery have been excellent. I would have absolutely no hesitation in choosing him again for any future procedure.

Due to my individual circumstances there was some confusion in relation to payment and that spilled over onto me personally as well as causing stress across the whole procedure at the outset. This was resolved but exposes the fact that some attention needs to be paid to the way things are looked at and handles when the circumstances fall outside of the general conventions of the service provided. In the end it was all sorted out but the initial confusion and stress could have been avoided. I have no complaints but was a bit surprised at the apparent chaos at the outset. I have no idea if any one aspect was to blame, I think it was probably general confusion in relation to gaps in communication between the parties involved in payment etc.

I recently had robotic laparoscopic cholecystectomy at Ross Hall hospital. My surgery went very smoothly with a very quick uneventful recovery. I was home the same day, and back to work in less than 3 weeks. Having robotic surgery meant I required minimal pain relief post op, and I felt great. Mr Renwick as excellent at explaining exactly what the procedure involved, post op complications, where my scars would be so I knew exactly what I was expecting. After surgery he explained in depth how the surgery went, and followed up with pathology report at my 6 week review. All in all an excellent consultant and I felt safe allowing him to carry out my procedure

The receptionist and the nurse were lovely. However, the consultant made me feel like I wasn’t heard at all, I didn’t really get to talk about anything I wanted to talk about because every time I tried to I was cut off and told I would have to speak to someone else about that but I was confused as I was speaking about the issue I was there for. I also felt like I was penalised for my gp making a mistake and did feel very uncomfortable by the end of the consultation. Which made me quite sad as this is an issue I’ve been dealing with for a couple of years and I feel like I’m still getting no where with it.

His approach was encouraging and gave me real confidence to get back running, helping me understand how to work with my body and work with my pain threshold. On top of that, he was charismatic, friendly, and made the whole experience feel positive and motivating. I have left feeling reassured, supported, and confident about my recovery🤞🏽 Highly recommend!

Mr Decadt was fantastic, answered all my questions about weight loss surgery, was thorough in consultations and explained everything very realistically so I knew exactly what to expect. He and his team made me feel really comfortable and confident in what we could achieve through surgery and follow up together. Unquestionably he is one of the kindest and most brilliant professionals I have ever encountered. He has gone above and beyond what I could ever have expected from a physiotherapist. I am incredibly grateful for everything he has done for me and couldn’t recommend him highly enough - both as a phenomenal physio and also an amazing human being.

The hospital itself was great and senior nursing staff on the day were informative and professional. My anaesthetist was phenomenal as was my amazing surgeon. However I had a bad experience with one of the health care assistants who wouldn’t let me use the bathroom and led to a bit of a weird experience. Plus when I got my stitches out two weeks later the nurse couldn’t see the stitches and she gave the tweezer to my fiancé who actually ended up getting the final ones out.

She is very personable and gave me the opportunity to ask questions. I was very happy with both appointments. My initial appointment was following sudden floaters with the 2nd appointment for follow up. Consultation was very reassuring and tests completed the same day.
