I had a private care with Dr Kenga Sivarajah (my Obstetrician) at King’s College Hospital, Denmark Hill and Central Health clinic for the delivery of my baby, and I cannot recommend the experience highly enough. Dr Kenga is truly a brilliant obstetrician. Her expertise, calm reassurance, and decisive leadership throughout my pregnancy and delivery made me feel completely safe and confident at every stage. She combines exceptional clinical skill with genuine compassion, which made an enormous difference during such an important and emotional time. I am also incredibly grateful to Adrian Dubrowicz, the anaesthetist, whose professionalism, clear explanations, and calm manner put me instantly at ease. His care was outstanding and contributed hugely to a smooth and positive delivery experience. A very special thank you to Keira Willis and Amina Muhommad who were absolutely amazing midwives during our two-day stay. Their kindness, attentiveness, encouragement, and tireless support — both clinically and emotionally — made the entire experience feel personal, caring, and reassuring. They went above and beyond to ensure both my baby and I were comfortable and well cared for. The standard of care under Dr Kenga’s leadership at King’s College Hospital was exceptional, and I will always be grateful to this outstanding team for the role they played in bringing our baby safely into the world. I would highly recommend Dr Kenga and her team and the private maternity service to anyone seeking expert care with a truly human touch.

I was referred to Genesis by the NHS consultant oncologist to receive radiotherapy and hormone treatment for for my diagnosed advanced prostate cancer. I was seen very quickly at the Newmarket (Cambridge) branch of Genesis. The facilities are modern with state of the art CT and radiotherapy equipment. At all times the staff of all disciplines and specialties were extremely helpful and understanding. After 4 weeks (20 sessions) of radiotherapy my regular attendance finished. However I will continue to have regular reviews there with the oncologist and be given the specialist hormone therapy and other pills to be taken for 2 years. Another impressive feature at Genesis is the inclusion of gym sessions under personal guidance from two expert trainers. This is most helpful in countering the muscle loss resulting from hormone therapy. I am continuing with these sessions for some weeks after completing my treatment. In summary, Genesis Care has provided the highest possible standard of specialist cancer treatment and I would strongly recommend this organisation when radiotherapy treatment is needed.

My experience with CP&R…. has been fantastic…. everyone involved has been so very helpful…Becky….. Angela… Tom…. and my trainer Paddy….. (Patrick)…. he has been beyond amazing… from the start…. nothing but encouraging… always supportive…. I have had quite a few bumps along the way and he has always been so kind…. I feel so much stronger… and more confident…Paddy has a wonderful attitude…. full of kindness and nothing but encouragement…. he works you hard but understands one’s limitations… I cannot praise him highly enough…. and I shall never forget this experience…. he has become a lifelong friend…. and I wish him all the luck in the world going forwards…. I reckon CP&R are very lucky to have him!…. I would also like to say a thank you to you all but to Tom who stepped in a few times and was also so encouraging… and I always loved his texts of support…. I cannot praise Mr Talawadekar, known more fondly as Mr T, highly enough. What an ambassador for the NHS! From the start of my referral for progressive dupytrons contracture over 12 months ago, through to surgery on the 27th October and post op consultation, he has shown such kindness and compassion wrapped up with a wonderful sense of humour. (the delay in my review is due to being out of the country) His knowledge and expertise in the condition as he engages with you at the consultations, is obvious. As is his passion and devotion to his craft. I did not have one second of anxiety about my surgery or doubt that Mr T would do an excellent job, and he did not let me down. Within a few weeks I had almost full use of my hand with a slight restriction being around the post op swelling. After 8 weeks and continuing physio I now have no swelling or scarring and a completely straight finger. I will be eternally grateful to Mr T and his wonderful skill as an outstanding surgeon.

Professor Plaha is an incredibly rare human being. Within 24 hours of my MRI scan being sent to him, he took responsibility for my care. The subsequent week, he met with me and guided me through my condition with a clear prognosis and a plan for treatment. He referred me onwards to other neurologists who were able to adapt my medication accordingly to ensure pre-operative stability. Along with his expert team, he operated to resect my tumour in a highly sensitive location with precision and success. He followed up after surgery with histology results and I have recently met with him at GenesisCare in Oxford, which promptly took place after my 3 month post operative MRI scan. In clinic, and as always - he exuded true warmth, humility, professionalism and integrity. He is a true specialist in his field and I am gracious to be under his care. Where anyone is looking for a true expert in his field in difficult and challenging circumstances, you must go no further.

Nurses and clinicians very friendly and made the experience much more bearable (Dom, Karen, Svetlana and Maria - thank you!) Main issue with my experience was inability to get basic medication required for pain relief post-surgery. Was told my procedure would be finished and we could leave around noon. But my pain medication (codeine and paracetamol, so nothing complicated!) had to be couriered from a local pharmacy. We waited over 4 hours for it to arrive and it never came. In the meantime my numbing had worn off and I was in a lot of pain - my partner had to go and ask the nurses if there was any spare codeine I could have while I waited. We eventually gave up and went home after many hours wasted, and had to pay for a private prescription at a pharmacy near home. Appreciate delay was with pharmacy and nurses did their best to get updates, but this system is not working.

We first saw Dr Burmester when our son was dealing with a prolonged series of illnesses. She was extremely thorough with her diagnostics, explained everything to us very clearly, and guided his recovery in a way that made us feel calm, reassured, and well supported throughout a very stressful time. She was also incredibly generous with her time, answering multiple follow-up questions via email, which was immensely comforting for us as anxious parents. We have been seeing her for over six months now and I would highly recommend her — she is knowledgeable, caring, and someone we trust completely with our child’s care.
