I was intrigued by the services offered, as they seemed too good to be true. I'm a mid-life woman, starting to worry more about my overall health and wellbeing but didn't want to burden the NHS with curiosity! I really just wanted to have an MOT, to spot any underlying issues or potential health concerns. I was really impressed with the whole set up - state of the art machines, beautiful and clean building - with the most relatable, down-to-earth and professional team of experts. I felt in safe hands, and I had all the advice, tests and support I needed to give me a 12 month clean bill of health but with some advice on how to improve and maintain my health and wellbeing. Highly recommended!

My experience was very disappointing with the consultant. I was happy for my appointment to be changed just before attending due to the consultant running late. I was very disappointed with the lack of interest and time shown to be by the consultant. I got 10 minutes of his time to be told to cut out caffeine at the cost of £250. I was hoping to receive some understanding of what could be causing recurrent UTI's and reassuring me of any fears of anything sinister i.e bladder cancer. Only to be told this only occurs for around 10/20% of cases. I think what really irked me was he looked at his watch part way through me speaking This I found very disrespectful and rude.

Dr Jonathan Behar

Dr Behar saw my mother in 2024. This second consultation in November 2025 followed a hospital admission in the cardiology ward. The symptoms were dizziness, palpitations, chest tightness and headaches. Dr Behar identified possible causes and a management strategy in the community with the aim of maintaining independence. He is highly skilled in conveying medical terminology in clear and easy to follow manner. We found him to be reassuring; he provided evidence based recommendations. Dr Behar was patient focused throughout the consultation. He maintained eye contact, heard our concerns and provided a way forward for the future. I highly recommend Dr Behar.

Dr John Philip O'Dwyer

I visited Dr O’Dwyer for seizures that had been misdiagnosed as panic attack attacks for many years. I felt that he was the first doctor in 30 years to actually listen to me having been completely let down by the NHS. He is a very kind man, really listens, and doesn’t rush you so you have plenty of time for your brain to remember all of the relevant details. He was very thorough, read all of my notes that I had sent through, asked sensible questions and treat treated me like an equal human being. There is so much more I could say but he is a 10 out of 10 doctor and I would recommend him to anyone who has any neurological problems.

Cataract surgery Arrived at Kingsbridge at 7:45am. I was second on the list of patients to have the procedure. Staff were all lovely - Mr Chan - surgeon, Mr McAtamney - anaesthetist, Maud and Ashleigh - nurses. Procedure took about 20 minutes and was completely painless. I had a lovely cup of tea and a scone while my aftercare and eye drops were explained to me. A follow up telephone call next day with a lovely nurse Martina and I’m delighted with the improvements in my vision that I’ve noticed already. I was back in my own home before 10am. I can’t wait to have my other eye done.

Dr Ali was very clear in her explanations about allergic rhinitis and the different treatments available, all of which I have taken over the years. I would like to have had explanations of results of tests in order to know more about what triggers my allergies Although Dr Ali did explain that probably I have non allergic rhinitis I'm still not sure if that is my case and I wonder if more allergy tests would give a more definite answer. Dr Ali did say she would be asking my GP to send results of the tests i had done at the surgery a few years ago.

Dr Patel is an exceptionally knowledgeable and compassionate respiratory consultant. From the moment I met him, his warm, approachable nature and excellent bedside manner immediately put me at ease. Having seen numerous consultants over the years, I can confidently say that Dr Patel stands out as one of the very best. He listens carefully, explains everything clearly, and genuinely cares about his patients’ well-being. I cannot recommend him highly enough to anyone dealing with respiratory problems – you will be in truly excellent hands.

Great experience from start to finish. Seen consultant within 3 days, knee surgery took place within 2 weeks. Kept informed of progress at every stage. Excellent care after operation, especially Martin. Staff professional and friendly at all times. She was able to sucessfully perform the prodcedure quickly and effectively - ensuring I was calm and comfortable the whole time. It made a world of difference, thank you!!!

However, I received a subsequent email and letter from Check4Cancer that was for somebody else's results (there was no identifiable information to who the results pertained to).
