I booked my appointment directly with Parkside Hospital, Wimbledon, so I didn't attend the London Heart Clinic nor any HCA premises, so my comments relate entirely to Parkside Hospital. 1 - Booking the appointment was a welcoming experience, Tanya was friendly, polite, courteous and easy to converse with. 2 - A follow up email was sent with the appointment details and patient information form which gave some scant details that would not in themselves form the basis of a contract imo. 3- On arrival for the appointment, I was asked to sign a form in 3 places. I was not given a copy of it nor given a chance to take it and read it in the waiting area, I was just asked to sign it, without it being read. 4 - on the basis that this document is in fact a contractual document setting out terms and conditions, which I didn't get to read, this is very poor practice, and could be challengeable. I also have no idea whether it made any reference to 'consent' within it. 5 - I was not handed a copy of the form before or after signing, and the form, with my signatures, has not been emailed to me subsequently, and it is now 2 days after the appointment. 6 - I arrived early for my appointment in the hope that I might be seen earlier than planned, but in the event, I was actually taken in for my appointment 25 minutes after my appointment time, but on the other hand, I had some 50 minutes, so I might have delayed someone else or made Dr Hinton late on leaving. Having said that, he didn't rush me at all, and I am very grateful for this. 7 - Dr Hinton himself was a pleasure to consult with. He made me feel at ease, and he enabled me to feel validated, and heard. He was kind and supportive and I felt I had found someone I could trust. Trust is a super important factor to me, as I've had so many bad experiences in the past. 8 - Dr Hinton grasped matters quickly and set out a case management plan, and dictated his letter to my GP in my presence, for which I am grateful. The only issue I have with that is, that I would rather the NHS GP is not involved, as I have no faith in NHS medical services right now, and I would wish to refer the letter to my health insurers, but am not sure how this will be done, and particularly so, if I am reluctant to speak with my NHS GP? I'm hoping that I will also be furnished with a letter that I can produce to my health insurers, so as to get authorisation for a scan plus it's super important that the letter has been sent to the right GP practice, and I hope it has. I did amend this quickly on the form. This has left a bit of a grey area for me, and I don't know if it was mentioned on the form that I was asked to sign without being able to read through it or be furnished with a copy so I could read it whilst waiting and ask for any amendments? 9 - Parkside is easy to access but it's looking a bit shabby in the outpatients area from my perspective, and the staff look a bit unkempt. My aunt was awarded an MBE for her services to nursing nearly 40 years ago, sadly, she is no longer with us, but she was a stickler for her staff having pristine uniforms, admittedly in the days when nurses wore hats and cuffs, proper uniforms, and butterfly belts, but she was always immaculately turned out and took a pride in her appearance, as well as her work. I often think that today, it begs a question about infection control, or moreover, the lack of it. 10 - it would have been nice to have someone volunteering to work the drinks machine. Older people are afraid to ask but are often dehydrated when waiting, and as we age, technology becomes quite challenging, even a drinks machine!

Mr Bilal Al-Obaidi

From my first consultation through to my last when I was discharged from his care, Bilal has been the most reassuring, calm, informative, patient and genuinely caring surgeon I could have wished for. During that first consultation he was not pushy and was very clear and thorough in his reasoning for recommending a TKR. He then explained what he would do during the procedure, what recovery would be like and his role throughout the process. Even when I had to postpone my operation due to an unrelated illness, he and his assistant were understanding and flexible, rescheduling for when would be most convenient for me. On the day of the operation, Bilal was at the hospital before I arrived and came to see me and again provide reassurance and clarity on what was happening. I next saw him in the anaesthetic area and I was in no doubt that I was in great hands. In the recovery area afterwards he was there making sure I was feeling as well as could be and then visited my room on both days post surgery to assess my progress and let me know his opinion. When I was in need of a repeat prescription for pain medication he was prompt and during my first post op consultation he was very encouraging, understanding and also clear on milestones I needed to hit. He also provided a sick note after discussing this with me. My last consultation was similar, and he first to say happy new year as well. I have a long way to go but I count myself lucky that I landed in the care of Bilal, and would recommend him to anyone with an acute knee condition.

I was greeted by an amicable, polite & efficient receptionist on arrival and shown to the waiting room where member of the theatre staff would come for me and explain what would happen next. Kate introduce herself and on knowing I have profound hearing loss made sure that I understood everything. She prepared me well with the required eye drops and made sure I understood the process that would happen in theatre. Having escorted me into theatre she introduced me to Mr Shafiq, the surgeon and the other theatre staff. Mr Shafiq is very approachable and explained clearly what was going to happen. During the procedure he talked me through what he as about to do and what I would see. He was very reassuring throughout the whole procedure which took about 10 mins. He explained clearly about the eye pad, the eye drops etc and Kate made sure that I had understood this before she escorted me to the waiting room. Overall, an excellent team and excellent care; even better than I'd expected because of my profound hearing loss.

Mr Raf Niziol

I had four wisdom teeth extracted by Raf Niziol and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I was very nervous beforehand, but from my very first consultation Raf was incredibly friendly, calm and reassuring while also being extremely knowledgeable and professional. He took the time to clearly explain what was going on and exactly what needed to be done, which immediately put me at ease. He also has an excellent team around him, especially Dr Imran Ahmad, my anaesthetist, who was equally kind, professional and reassuring. On the day of the surgery Raf made me feel comfortable and relaxed, and the whole process was handled so smoothly. Even after the surgery, during my post-op consultation, he was just as friendly, thorough and professional. I genuinely can’t recommend Raf enough. I’m extremely grateful to him and his team for such a positive experience during what could have been a very stressful procedure.

My appointment with Dr Elizabeth Kulakov was an extremely positive experience from start to finish. I was seen promptly at the scheduled time, which immediately set a reassuring and professional tone. Dr Kulakov took the time to listen carefully to my concerns, asked thoughtful questions, and explained everything clearly and calmly. I felt that she was genuinely attentive and thorough, never rushed, and very focused on providing the best possible care. The examination and treatment were carried out with great care and professionalism, and Dr Kulakov explained each step along the way, which helped me feel comfortable and well informed. The advice I received was clear, practical, and tailored to my situation, giving me confidence in the next steps. I left the appointment feeling reassured, well looked after, and fully satisfied with the level of care and expertise provided.

Daleswood Health is like a breath of fresh air in the midst of health services in the UK. My GP tries to the best they can but frankly they just cannot be flexible and I'd spend visits trying to to fit in their calendar, leaving me waiting for a rushed 10 minute appointment only to then refer me somewhere else. Something had to change. I'm lucky enough that I can spend a little to get a great service and Daleswood Health really deliver exceptional service. My recent visit was for a mole removal. In and out within 50 minutes and the mole had been removed, fantastic service from Dr Oliver Denton and also not forgetting Mary on reception. So glad I've found them. Definitely my go to for health services and fully recommended from me.

Dr Charlotte Frise is an excellent doctor. Despite the multiple complications I had, she had time for me even when she was off duty. She saw me through until I sailed through. I was never afraid at any point even when I couldn’t breathe and had oxygen of 80% on room air, I was motivated. Her smile was always soothing and reassuring, it felt like family. She treats patients like family and it’s heartwarming in difficult times. I begin to tear up when I express how I feel about the care she gave me. Am very impressed and grateful for her services. The NHS is blessed to have doctors like her.

Experience OK but to have to travel 80 mile round trip with 24 hrs notice was stressful, for the pre-accessment which I had to ask for, as not arranged. If I had been told on the information letter that if I was taking antibiotics I would need to have 4 weeks clear before I could have my procedure, this would have prevented me from excepting the procedure date I had been given. Therefore would have given the date to someone else. I had two weeks notice of my procedure which is OK if all information had been given to me. Find the administration side lacking. Lovely staff. .

He has an incredibly kind demeanour, He was clear and articulate in presenting my condition to me and he listened to my concerns allowing me time to fully comprehend and consider my options. We made a decision for a future plan together and I felt understood and supported every step of the way. I have 100% confidence in him as a consultant and would be more than happy to recommend him to anyone with a knee problem. Thank you for really looking after me, I was in so much pain but now I’m able to at least get back to work.

I had a partial meniscotomy with Mr Gillani on 25th November 2025 at Raigmore hospital. The whole process on the day was outstanding clinical service. From the nurses on the ward, the physiotherapists, the anaesthetist and Mr Gillani himself. Everything was explained thoroughly and I received excellent care from everyone. I have also had a follow up appointment today with Mr Gillani. I have found him to be of the highest standards and he has always been available to explain the issues with my knee and provide reassurance.

Mr Nita explained everything and options I had. I had tests and trials with walking aids to determine best option for me explaining both pros and cons I opted for long leg osteotomy which gave me option to have knee replacement later in life. I am 12 weeks post operation and i’m walking unaided and I am using no pain killers. I do realise I do have lot of recovery to get 100%. I cannot thank Mr Nita enough, his professional and skills have changed my mobility, without the pain that I used to endure

Very good ,only thing is after surgery and just before final appointment I was asked for my bank details I had paid everything last Nov a month before my surgery they agreed everything was paid but wanted to have a bank card on record ,Why ? I was asked again when I went to see mr smith for my final check up ,absolutely no need if front of other people when I didn't owe anything it made me feel like I owed something even though she said it was a token just to have it on record

The online system was very straightforward and the doctor I saw, Dr Jennifer Lamond was just lovely, very professional and gave me clear plan of action to deal with my symptoms.
