I don’t even know where to begin, because Ms Jajini Varghese was with me at both the lowest and most hopeful points of my life. She was the one who delivered devastating news — and yet she did so with honesty, warmth and humanity. She held my hand, hugged me, spoke to me as a woman, not just a patient. She never sugar-coated, but she always gave me hope. I had a single mastectomy through the NHS, and from the very beginning she was open about expectations while still doing everything she could for the best possible outcome. She told me she would try to save my nipple — and she did. I came out of surgery with excellent symmetry, far beyond what I had been prepared for. At my final check-up (seen by another consultant), he examined me and said he struggled to see which breast had been reconstructed. When he asked who my surgeon was and I told him, his response was simply: “You were operated on by the best.” What stands out most is not just her exceptional surgical skill, but who she is as a person. She is real, warm, relatable .A woman’s woman. She spoke openly, shared human moments, and made me feel brave when I didn’t feel brave at all. If you are facing breast cancer and reconstruction and are scared, I hope you read this and know that you can place your trust in this incredible NHS surgeon. I will forever be grateful.

Dr. Paneesha’s reputation preceded him and upon meeting him he assured me that I was in good hands, and he definitely kept his promise. He is such a thorough, caring and attentive person. Always greeting me with a smile along with a joke or two, easing the tension in the room. Whether it’s good or not so good news, his delivery is always honest and always impeccable. After a mole on my shoulder began to grow, I booked a private consultation with a specialist who had removed others by Crotherapy. He told me that he could only do it after the infection which had caused it to change, had been cured and prescribed a course of antibiotics. The infection increased after several courses of six different antibiotics which were prescribed by my NHS practice were not able to halt its progress. My daughter Annie convinced me to book an appointment at Essex Private GP. I was seen on the same day and the correct antibiotics to target the infection were identified and prescribed at my first visit. There is already a significant improvement, thank you.

Having been terrified to get my cataract done, I did a lot of research and found Ed Casswell in Nuffield in Brighton . From our first meeting I liked Ed, he’s professional, friendly and very experienced! As I hate anything to do with eyes I asked for deep sedation and he was fine for me to have this, which was marvellous as I was completely knocked out during the whole process . Recovery was good and I could see out of my new lens straight after the op . Recovery was smooth and no pain at all . I will need the other eye doing sometime in the future and I will definitely be using Ed .

Yesterday I had a phone call from Mr Yang who came up with a plan for my latest UTI . We had a full and informative discussion. Within 5 mons of his call I had a private prescription emailed to me and within 30 mins I had a phone call from Forbury saying my UTI vaccine was ready for collection. I went to the Forbury and the vaccine was all ready for me complete with cooling pack to keep it cold. During the afternoon I also received a very accurate clinic letter from Mr Yang and copied to my GP. All very speedy and efficient and much appreciated.

Greeted by friendly staff and seen at my appointment time. Following a basic health check, the procedure was explained in detail and I was taken to a treatment room for the Gastroscopy to begin. Throat spray was applied, blood pressure and oxygen levels were monitored throughout the procedure, then the camera was inserted via the mouth into the oesopagus and stomach. The process was painless but a little discomfort was felt and took no longer that 10 minutes in total. I was then taken to a recovery room and discussed the treatment findings.

I received surgery to repair a hernia at the Nuffield Hospital Bristol with Mr Khan. The operation was successful with no complications and I've now recovered. Mr Khan provided plenty of reassurance with time to ask questions prior to surgery, on the day and afterwards and the Nuffield made for much more relaxing/stress free experience than visiting a larger hospital. I would recommend him and this hospital for anyone needing this surgery.

I was recommended St Giles physiotherapy to take our Son to as he was complaining of knee pain. Claudiu diagnosed what was wrong and gave our son various exercises to do to help with the pain. Our son also had laser treatment and massages which really helped. The exercise programme we continued with at home too using a friendly app to track progress. I highly recommend St Giles physiotherapy and Claudiu.
