His explanation was clear, detailed, and easy to understand, which immediately put me at ease. Dr Al-Khateeb’s treatment was precise and expertly delivered. What truly impressed me was his confidence and skill—he knew exactly what needed to be done and carried it out with care and precision. Thanks to his treatment, my symptoms improved rapidly, and I went on to make a full recovery. Usually feedback is of a negative nature but this is not one of those occasions. My experience was awesome for which I am super grateful. I have had a number of gastroscopies in my life so was nervous about what was going to happen. From the moment of my arrival I was greeted and made to feel comfortable straight away. The pre-procedure nurses were very clear, helpful and showed huge amounts of empathy about what was going to happen. When wheeled into the operating theatre I was introduced to all of the team who were to perform the procedure, all of whom had welcoming smiles and a reassuring tone (a tone that continued throughout the procedure). Dr Alan Watson was super clear, professional and again very comforting. I knew I was in safe hands. I just had a throat spray, no sedation, so was fully aware of what was going on. One action that was performed by a nurse during the procedure was to, comfortingly, rub my shoulder. I couldn’t see who it was, but such a small, seemingly insignificant action, was hugely important to me and kept me connected with humanity during the brutal fact that I had a scope down my throat. Post procedure, I was greeted with the warm smiles again and wheeled to the recovery area where again everyone was super attentive. I can’t say thank you enough for everything. The team were awesome.

I am currently undergoing treatment at Bourn Hall. At every single step the members of staff have exhibited amazing customer service. Every single nurse, receptionist, doctor, anaesthetist, embryologist, pharmacist and everyone there has been respectful, kind, gentle, reassuring, calm and knowledgeable. In particular, Nurse Dawn at Cambridge has gone above and beyond to support me as an autistic patient. She has patiently answered all my questions, made adjustments for my comfort, and reassured me over and over again. She even popped my teddy from my bag onto my bed for me when I was recovering from general anaesthetic which was so touching and thoughtful. I am also particularly thankful to the embryologist team who also have found ways to adhere to my special requests. I'm also thankful to the anaesthetist who held my hand as I fell asleep under general anaesthetic because I was so frightened. I cannot fault our experience at Bourn Hall.

I feel the signs to tell you where to go could be clearer my mobility is not good had quite a long walk to get inside the building. My ultrasound scan was carried out with such speed I felt it was rushed, I had to ask for white paper roll to protect my clothes from being wet from the gel ,while the scan was being carried out the nurse sat behind the consultant on his chair ! I feel she should have been at the bottom of the couch standing at my feet reassuring me & asking if I was comfortable.kingsbridge give “an excellent 1st class experience re procedures” I’m afraid in my appointment this was not the case , over the years i have had many experiences with ultrasound and this was the worst , i could not have been on the couch anymore than 4 or 5 minutes very disappointing.

Mr Vakharia is an incredibly experienced and knowledgeable doctor. He treated me for stage 4 endometriosis after my initial diagnosis on the NHS. He made sure I had all the tests needed to establish the extent of my condition which was debilitating at certain points of my cycle. He was patient and compassionate in explaining my options and gave me plenty of space to ask any questions in the moment and encouraged me to take my time thinking over treatment options before making my decision. I ultimately chose the surgical route as that would've improved my quality of life the most and it was a supportive and reassuring experience from start to finish.

My overall experience was excellent. However when I got home I found I wasn't completely sure/ had forgotten exactly when and how to take all the medicines I was given and when to stop e.g. how slowly to reduce the codeine when I didn't need it any more. Clearly printed instructions to take home would have been reassuring straight away and later. I know I could have rung the Horder Centre any time for advice but at 82 years old my hearing is less than perfect and I worry I shall not remember everything I hear afterwards. The Horder hip replacement book is excellent and is still a constant source of referral and encouragement.

Dr. Emmanouil Koloutsos

When going in to get a third temporary crown I told Dr Koloutsos that I was not confident the crown would stay in place so was reconsidering my options. He was quite dismissive of this saying they are temporary crowns so are meant to come off easily. This comment was not appreciated. I finally did agree to have the full crown fitted but only after I was given a guarantee by Dr Koloutsos that if the crown falls off in the first year I would receive a full refund of the cost of the treatment.

I saw Dr Campbell for the first time in May 2025, after being very highly recommended from a previous Doctor. Dr Campbell was very thorough and kept me informed and at ease at all times. I have since had my procedures done and my follow up examination which turned out to be very successful, all my symptoms subsided after my first procedure and I am glad to say that no reoccurrence has been detected, thank you Dr Campbell and all your wonderful staff.

I came to see Mr Baker for DIEP flap surgery due to breast cancer. On our first meeting I was put at ease, he explained how the procedure is done and what to expect. I was impressed that he phoned me after I had emailed his secretary with some concerns, that is how caring he is. They always have world class doctors in all specialities at the hospital, the staff are amazing, the nurses experienced and empathetic. I hope never to visit a hospital again, but if I do need treatment, the London Independent Hospital is at the top of my list.

Grace waudby took my initial assessment on a video link she took her time and explained every and asked about everything. The assignment was supposed to be 30mins it took longer. When I went in for the viscual assessment she came and introduced herself again. Which was nice she did but never had too. That show me that she is very thoughtful and caring about my journey though this hard process thank you grace all the best in your future
