Mr Dheerendra could not have been more professional, appropriately friendly and always explained everything so I could understand what he was going to do .He was exceptionally helpful in securing a hospital place where I would be accepted for the operation I needed. (Other medical conditions had made this a difficulty in the hospital of my first choice.) He was an excellent surgeon, my recovery has been very good, he took extra time to make 3 additional visits when I was in hospital to ensure that the wound was healing properly. He was very good at listening to me, both in terms of my current problems and in terms of my expectations for recovery. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone, both for his skills as a surgeon and for his ability to communicate with his patient

My operation was 3.5 months ago, my check up appointment was supposed to be 4-6 weeks after. This got postponed 4/5 times due to apparent emergency surgery that was known a week in advance each time. I rang and spoke to the surgeons secretary when it was postponed again and I couldnt make the new date due to work, it kept getting postponed and explained I was having problems ( wound opening multiple times and infection ) I was told to leave work, I explained i couldn't due to my job and working away on that date over two weeks, she said we'll if you don't want the new date then don't have it. She was very rude and tone was awful.

I have used Avenues for a cycle of IVF/ICSi, a hysteroscopy and then FET. I was under the care of De Ali Al Chami and became pregnant with the first transfer, having 3 failed attempts elsewhere. Dr Al Chami changed my protocol (both stimulation and transfer protocol). This places is miles apart because it guarantees continuity of care and patients are treated as people. dr Ali is a wonderful person and he cares about his patients. The midwives (Marina Christina Katie Fiona Emily Starvula) are all amazing and know each patient by name and treated me with warmth, dignity, compassion and professionalism.

The waiting area had few chairs and not enough for the people waiting. The people around there that gave me paperwork and told me where to wait, were polite and helpful. The appointment with the consultant was really distressing, I couldn't ask questions and didn't discussed with me the plan, just set up steps without getting me involved on her treatment plan. This experience was very negative from what I expected when you go to a professional asking for advice and reviewing if your body is working well. This was my second cataract operation on my left eye having had a very successful cataract removal and lenses replacement on my right eye performed by Mr Sian a couple of months earlier at Musgrove Park. Mr Sian’s skills , patience and care are exemplary. The outcome hss exceeded all my expectations. For information I initially saw Mr Sian at the Nuffield and had my resulting procedures at Musgrove Park due to the complexity of both eyes. My comments apply mainly to Musgrove although are also applicable to treatment received by Mr Sian at the Nuffield Taunton.

My son needed to have two teeth extracted prior to being fitted with braces the following month. The dentist was extremely caring - especially as the procedure proved to be quite difficult due to the large roots of the teeth being pulled. It took an hour for the first tooth to finally come out - and the dentist recommended that a second appointment be made to minimise the amount of trauma caused extracting both teeth in one go. The appointment was made while the procedure was still ongoing - which was very efficient and was a relief for my son.

Dr Nadine Skipp is extremely knowledgeable and skilled, but also very kind, and took the time to explain everything clearly. Everyone at AURA was friendly, professional, and welcoming.

All staff, including the receptionist, were very nice and helpful. The hospital waiting areas and the consulting room were very clean and well maintained. There were unlimited free hot drinks and water available for waiting patients. Whilst the hospital does not have a car park, there was plenty of on-street parking available (charges varying up to £6.50 for 4 hours - enforced until 8pm), even on a busy Friday traffic wise after 4pm, when I arrived.
