Booking a septorhinoplasty had been a huge decision, as I had anxiety about the procedure and particularly going under anaesthetic. From my first communication with Julia, I found her to be friendly and open (and very accommodating to my busy work diary and on one occasion lateness to an appointment!). When I met Mr Bast for the first time, I knew straight away that I wanted him to do my surgery. He was incredibly knowledgeable, answered all of my questions and it was clear from my research of him that he was a surgeon to be trusted. I found the whole process from initial booking, to surgery and aftercare, absolutely seamless. Mr Bast reassured my anxieties and I had no hesitation deciding to continue the process with him. Mr Bast’s anaesthetist was also wonderful, very reassuring (as the anaesthetic was my main anxiety) and somebody who I trusted from when I first spoke to him. Following the procedure, Mr Bast kept in contact and was available to answer any queries or worries that I had. I felt as though I was in safe hands, particularly when I had a bad reaction to the antibiotics that I took post-surgery and I was able to speak to him quickly to get advice. Unfortunately I did bruise a little, however I had warned Mr Bast that I may bleed as this is usual for me, however it was nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. My face recovered quickly and although there is some very, very minor swelling 12 months on, I’m already so pleased with what it looks like and have been since my cast came off after a week. I followed all of Mr Bast’s advice in terms of aftercare and had no issues with my recovery. I’m delighted with the outcome of my procedure, having had my nose completely straightened and aligned to my face. It has helped my breathing significantly, and I have a lot more confidence in my appearance. I can’t thank Mr Bast enough for what he has done.

Had a very warm welcoming at Abbington house, staff and peers were very nice. Room was nice, quite overwhelming to start with, with it being my first time at rehab. I then started to feel more comfortable with the help of the staff and my peers, putting me out of my comfort zone probably was the best thing they could of done otherwise I wouldn’t of been so open. Staff very accommodating, my therapist was very empathetic, I got on with her very well, opened up slowly but eventually we got there. I still feel I have stuff to work on, my co dependency and self love but I know that will come in time, from outside sources, just think they should not of mentioned that I would be getting DBT therapy whilst I was here as that was one of the selling points to me coming to Abbington house. The only other down side was prior to coming in I was told I would have at least one, one to one a week. But that did not happen for the the first 3 weeks, so felt a bit let down, so did my parents which they then raised there concerned to Mikey, who was quick to come up with 2 options to compensate this, which I thought was very good.

Having waited 18months plus to get a diagnosis of serious issue with my left hip via my Doctor suddenly once referred to the Park Hospital things began to move quickly.Our first meeting with Mr Matar left both myself and my long suffering partner feeling that at last my problem was being treated seriously and professionally. He explained the reason for my issue, bone on bone hip, showed us the X-rays, explained the procedure and time frame of my recovery and set a date for the operation. Subsequently I was booked in for an operation, no delays and extremely well treated, being kept informed at each step. Having met again with Mr Matar he checked through my abilities and as ny recovery has gone well he discharged me. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Mr Matar to any friend or colleague who is in need of similar treatment and have nothing but gratitude to him

I had no experience which would help me choose a consultant and had to use the CVs on the Spire website. I mainly chose Mr Wemyss-Holden because of his laparoscopic expertise. He was excellent. Since then, I've met a number of patients who also have a very high opinion of him. On meeting, he immediately put me at my ease, gave a confident diagnosis, explained my operation and assured me it would be successful. All of which he duly delivered. For the operation, he once again explained what would happen and returned afterwards to tell me of its success and what to expect going forward. The following week he gave me a check over and discharged me. Throughout, Mr Wemyss-Holden was very pleasant, while giving me a great deal of confidence that my treatment would be successful. He was open to questions and explained everything in detail.

During this time I received regular communication to prepare me for my surgery. I was overwhelmed by the high standard of care I received as an in patient from the nursing and medical team. Having had experience with several Cardiologists in the past, I was looking for someone who has the specialism in the electrical pulse activation within the heart. From his CV compared with the others, he appeared to me to be the best of the choices on offer in Bristol. Having made that selection I have no hesitation in confirming that he quickly identified the problem with my heart and recommended that I have a two lead Pacemaker fitted. Following his recommendation in just over a week the operation took place. He has a very friendly manner and took time to explain all aspects of the procedure he intended to follow and the risk factors involved. He appears as a person who is calm and reassuring and I was convinced he is totally reliable and someone I could trust.

I recently visited Fitzrovia Hospital and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The facility is clean, well organised, and welcoming, but what truly stood out was the care of all staff, friendly, supportive and specifically the exceptional care provided by Kate. Kate was warm attentive, and incredibly professional throughout my visits. She took time to care for me and explain all things clearly, was patient and I felt hugely comfortable and supported. Her kindness and calm approach made a huge difference, and I genuinely felt in safe hands. Impossible to speak to anyone in Cambridge which was very frustrating. am used to being seen privately and this did not come up to the usual standard. Although the staff were very polite and friendly I felt that nobody was sure what to do and did not fill me with confidence. I have never gone privately and only seen the surgeon on the day of the operation with no follow up appointment with the actual surgeon. I was left with a cut on the skin to the left of my eye and an indentation across my eyebrow which I feel had probably been caused by the clamp used to keep my eyelid open. I was left feeling that for some reason the private sector in Cambridge was struggling. A great pity.

My recent visit was positive as always, everyone is always warm and welcoming from the moment you step into the door. The office is clean and inviting and always decorated according to the season’s festive calendar, which always a nice touch. I admired the snowflakes decal on the windows giving it a cosy festive feel and fairy lights as I was getting my treatment! I have been seeing Lil for years now and she is absolutely amazing, I feel like a different person when I walk out the practice, in the best way possible. Also, if something else is bothering me she always makes time to take a look and do the necessary adjustments or advise on what exercises to do, or see a GP!

Prof Mabrouk was the first doctor to take my endometriosis pain and symptoms seriously and I felt that the disease and all of my options were carefully explained to me. When the pain became unbearable, I chose to have endometriosis excision surgery with Prof Mabrouk at the Spire Cambridge Lea. My stay at the hospital was faultless. I felt completely safe and taken care of. Prof Mabrouk has an excellent bedside manner. The entire endometriosis team at the Spire Cambridge Lea is excellent. It was really wonderful to experience a continuity of care post-surgery and the team was only an email or phone call away whenever I had questions.

Tucked away, the clinic had a bright and airy interior. A warm welcome greeted me at the door and I was swiftly directed to reception. Unlike some medical waiting areas it felt comfortable and homely. I noted they had security was at the entrance, which was reassuring. A cheerful receptionist checked me in efficiently. The waiting area was pleasant, offering a variety of hot drinks including still and sparkling water, biscuits and snacks. I asked for a taxi on leaving and the lady at reception explained they didn’t have a direct telephone number, but would get a colleague to wave one down for me. Very thoughtful.
