Your gentle and supportive approach was truly transformative during a time when we felt completely at a loss and frightened for him. Following an investigation and guidance by Gavin I decided to opt for a robot assisted Partial Knee Replacement. Gavin takes the time to explain openly and candidly the rationale for each option or corrective procedure offering explanations in simply language. On the day of the operation I met the surgical team 1-2-1 who explained in detail the process I was about to go through. Gavin performed the operation which went as planned. Post operative pain was significant however hospital staff remedied that enabling a fairly comfortable night. Next morning I was surprised at how well I felt. A physiotherapy specialist assessed the movement and flexibility of my knee before getting me standing in front of a zimmer frame. I promptly progressed to crutches taking gentle, small steps initially within a short time walking freely with the crutches and was able to go up and down stairs fairly easily. The physiotherapist was impressed with how my knee was performing particularly the flexibility some 18 hours post surgery that in most similar cases takes weeks to achieve. With all parties satisfied I was discharged 26 hours post surgery. This outcome is a testament to Gavin's knowledge, skills and experience for which I am very grateful for.

His knowledge about the change of women body after the birth is impeccable. I can’t find the right words to express my gratitude to Dr Patani for his care. I went to see him for a follow-up consultation and everything went extremely well thanks to his amazing skills as a surgeon. I recovered very well after surgery, and thought of the precision with which a surgeon has to strike a delicate balance between removing enough and not removing too much, especially when I had waited until that lump grew a lot. And Dr Patani achieved that delicate balancing act! For me the essential fact is that eight months down the line, there is no recurrence of that lump!

Matt is a great listener and devised a personal physio plan for me to help with two MSK problems. The exercises have been really helpful and effective allowing me to return to the lifestyle that I enjoy in a fairly short period of time. Booking an appointment is online but changing and cancellation is easy. There is an assessment consultation and follow up after a suitable period of time. As soon as you are able to "go it alone" Matt will discharge you with an open return. All in all an experience that I can highly recommend for recalcitrant MSK problems.

Dr Mayhead provided me with excellent care and a care plan for going forward for which I am extremely grateful.

The whole experience was stress free and went really well. I felt cared for by all the staff. My only comment would be that I wasn't explained the after surgery process before going into theatre and after surgery I was sat in my room wondering what next steps were. ie would I see consultant again, how long before I could leave. It wasn't a big deal but a little more information would have been nice.
