My wait time was excellent, I was seen ahead of my appointment time. The individual who picked me up to take me to the MRI was very friendly and kind. Unfortunately, that’s when things got somewhat awkward. The actual MRI attendant who was in charge of asking me the safety questions in advance found herself having a disagreement with a member of staff on another ward whilst with me. I understand that people are overworked and underpaid - resourcing has always been an issues (I have worked for the NHS), however, having an argument over who would tend to someone being seen after me is something that should not have happened infront of me. A joke was made of it when she hung up the phone but it was incredibly uncomfortable for me.

I had my Pre-assessment on 14/91/26 at 09.30. I arrived early because of the inadequate parking at the hospital but was pleasantly surprised to be able to park straight away so, I arrived at 09.00 for my appt. I registered with reception then the nurse, Sharon, called me. Sharon talked me through my Pre-assessment and explained in detail what would happen when I'm admitted for my op. She gave me an ECG, took MRSA swabs and I had my bloods taken. Sharon explained several forms to me and provided Octensian wash and nasal gel for me to use prior to admission and after. The whole experience was positive. Sharon was very professional with an easy, friendly manner and kindly answered my questions that she had not already covered.

I was taken into a room that was obviously not cleaned after the last patient as their clothes were still there. My postop instructions were to stay warm. I was absolutely freezing after surgery because the nurses turned the heat down to suit another patient. I was on the end bed and no one came to check on me for ages so I couldn’t get another blanket. I told the nurses at least three times that I don’t eat dairy. I then had cow’s milk and dairy butter placed in front of me which is offensive. The nurses paid a lot of attention to the person next to me, but rarely checked on me. I felt overlooked. By this point, I just wanted to go home but again they prioritised other patients so I was late to leave.

I had the pleasure of working with Andrea for quite a long time after having a car accident. She took time to get to know me and what items I really wanted to work on. Each week we found ways that worked for me to express my self and through this she was able to give me amazing direction and grounding techniques to really help my anxiety in the car. I have not only used what we have learned together on the car but have pulled it into my everyday life. I feel lighter and happier. This was life changing for me and I’m so glad we were out together. I had an online ADHD assessment with Bernhard Kelley-Patterson. Bernhard was very friendly and professional, I felt at ease throughout the appointment and would happily talk with him again. So far my experience with Skylight has been very positive, the wait times between communication emails are generally 3-5 days and it took approximately 8 weeks to get my first appointment after the registering my interest. Considering the NHS waiting list for an ADHD assessment is 4 years, I’d say that pretty damn good. I would highly recommend opting for Skylight through the ‘Right to Choose’ pathway via the NHS. When undertaking base line assessment prior to the procedure, this was conducted in the reception area. During this taking place, 3 other people arrived and seated themselves in the reception area. We were unclear if they were members of the public, staff or other appointments. They were not introduced to us as observers for my treatment. The introduction didn't occur until Prof Zveorov arrived, then introductions were made and my family was made aware they were from other institutions to learn and observe. The support and treatment were excellent.

My son needed to have two teeth extracted prior to being fitted with braces the following month. The dentist was extremely caring - especially as the procedure proved to be quite difficult due to the large roots of the teeth being pulled. It took an hour for the first tooth to finally come out - and the dentist recommended that a second appointment be made to minimise the amount of trauma caused extracting both teeth in one go. The appointment was made while the procedure was still ongoing - which was very efficient and was a relief for my son.

I was pleased with the overall experience of my appointment on the day. Whilst Dr Rasool had the earliest appointment available, His resume on the Bupa recognised healthcare professionals and services finder, is minimal. There is no photo either. It says his account is awaiting verification which gave me initial doubt. I had to find more of his details via Google. This I have mentioned to Dr Rasool during the appointment. I am pleased that he is happy for me to contact him via email should I have queries.

Mr Modgil was absolutely fantastic. His experience allowed us to clearly understand the situation and get straight to the point, which meant we were able to proceed with the treatment we needed very quickly. As you'd expect it's often unsettling having to visit an endocrinologist but Dr Hurel always takes the time to chat things through with me and has a real talent for simplifying what can be a very complicated medical area. Mr Vatish is a superb consultant. He is skilled, knowledgeable, kind and patient. He also demonstrates a wealth of empathy as he helps you decide on the right choices for you. He embodies being person centred rather than assuming the same clinical approach is right for everyone. Obviously having breast cancer is not what any of us want. Nevertheless, Mr Vatish and Geraldine, the nurse, made a huge difference to how I felt.

RTN Mental Health - Right To Choose

My GP sent referral for RTN in January 2025. According to their announcement on the ADHD website, the waiting time was 8-9 weeks. Unfortunately, I was waiting couple of months. My assessment was done in October and on my outcome appointment, which was a year after, the 3rd doctor was involved a d decided to do one more assessment. Without prior arrangement or agreement. Poor customer service, dishonest administration.

I was referred to Mr Hamilton through the NHS. From our initial consultation to the surgery that was scheduled soon after, and from the procedure itself to the after care, the experience was excellent. I felt heard in the consultation and diagnosis of R-CPD, and the treatment (injections of Botox) seem to have worked exactly as hoped. I couldn't recommend the treatment and Mr Hamilton highly enough.
