I booked a consultation for my daughter, Olivia P,with Mr Robert Sutcliffe on Monday 24th November 2025 at 2.00pm. With Olivia’s full consent, I handled all communication on her behalf due to her work commitments. Before the appointment, Mr Sutcliffe’s secretary contacted me to ask whether the consultation could be moved to the following week. I explained that we were due to travel abroad for three weeks to celebrate my husband’s milestone birthday. She advised she would discuss this with Mr Sutcliffe. She later called back to confirm that, in light of our circumstances, Mr Sutcliffe was happy to keep the original appointment — which he honoured. I accompanied Olivia to her consultation. Mr Sutcliffe was exceptionally thorough. He examined her carefully, explained his diagnosis with clarity and compassion, and put both of us completely at ease as he outlined the next steps. He requested a further liver function blood test, which Olivia had done at Nuffield Health Wolverhampton. I asked Nuffield Health to send the results to both Mr Sutcliffe and Olivia’s GP, which was done. Mr Sutcliffe’s secretary informed me as soon as the results were received and assured me they would be reviewed promptly. True to her word, Mr Sutcliffe reviewed the results quickly. His secretary then advised that he had no concerns and that our planned follow-up in the New Year could go ahead as arranged. I would also like to note that, as we were leaving Harborne Hospital, we happened to see Mr Sutcliffe leaving at the same time. It was clear he had come in specifically to see Olivia that day, knowing we were travelling abroad — something he was under no obligation to do. As a family, we found this gesture incredibly thoughtful and deeply appreciated it. Throughout the entire process, Mr Sutcliffe could not have been more helpful, supportive or empathetic. I am truly grateful that we can now go away on our family celebration holiday with complete peace of mind, knowing my daughter is under the care of such a capable, caring and dedicated professional. Professor Alwyn D'Souza

Professor D’Souza is a constant source of reassurance and demonstrates a deep experience in a gentle and thoughtful manner. His approach is very educated, but pragmatic. In the case of my surgery, he gave excellent feedback on what made my revision difficult, while also explaining very clearly intraoperative discoveries that created problems he had to work around. For the first time in 16 years since a severe injury to my nose, I now see the light at the end of the tunnel to this journey and I owe this to Professor D’Souza.

The doctor was really rude and unprofessional about other members of staff to me. He also didn't check that I'd received appropriate amount of anaesthetic before doing the procedure leaving me in an unacceptable amount of pain for which he didn't apologise or check to see if I was ok. He also tried to do the procedure on the wrong eye and after checking the eye he could see where I'd had a previous procedure and said, "At least I can see you're not lying". I do not want this awful man near me ever again.

Dr Bansi is excellent - he is obviously very knowledgeable but also thoughtful and good listener, and thinks about what one tells him, and uses it well. Time spent with him is time well spent, although he's clearly efficient, he never seems in a hurry to get on to the next thing. His team are excellent and very responsive, and communication is good throughout.

Very inexperienced physio. Took significant time to understand the problem. Asked all questions (clearly from script/list of qs), even when already discussed and known as irrelevant, or already covered the answer. Exercises provided in technical terms only, hard for lay person to remember and understand. Zero follow up even though it was promised.

Everything about the procedure was fine. The nursing staff were fantastic and really looked after me. The only thing that I would mention was one of the receptionists (who was quite elderly brown hair and petite) was very abrupt to the point of being rude. I didn’t get her name but if I had it done would’ve mentioned it on here.

My initial visit was for trigger thumb release surgery. The waiting time following arrival was minimal. The bedroom was comfortable and clean. The surgery itself was amazing despite being anxious - the team were very friendly and focused on making you relax. The aftercare visit was in line with this.

I got there at the appointment time I had been messaged and it was deemed too late as the clinic was not informed of my changed time from 09.40 to 11.45.. also the doctor I saw was not one that dealt with my condition although he did promise to refer me to another one who does deal with it.
