Professor George Du Toit

Professor George Du Toit is a consultant paediatric Allergist with more than two decades of experience treating and managing patients with complex allergies, including eczema, food allergy, asthma, antibiotic allergy, and hay fever.

His team aim to provide patient-centred and responsive care, backed by the highest safety standards and is supported by an experienced team of Nurses, psychologists, dietitians, and Practice Management staff.

Professor Du Toit loves his chosen niche of Paediatric medicine, and this is reflected in his excellent patient/family feedback.

Professor Du Toit holds private clinics at the Portland Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital and in New Malden, Surrey; his NHS practice is at the Evelina Children's Hospital, London. Online consultations are also possible with remote blood testing if needed.

Professor Du Toit oversees Oral Food Challenge tests for diagnosing food allergy at the TFAIC and The Portland Hospital.

Professor Du Toit is renowned for his clinical research, including landmark trials on the prevention (LEAP and EAT-On Studies) and treatment (Oral Immunotherapy Studies, and Cutaneous Patch Treatment EPIT Studies) of food allergies.

. Professor George du Toit was formally inducted as an EAACI Fellow in 2024 during the EAACI Congress in Valencia, Spain. 

. Professor George du Toit was awarded the RCPCH Members' Award 2025, one of the most significant honours bestowed by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
