Dr Rajah was extremely thorough. A complete gentleman from beginning to end. Explained in great detail the process I was in, what stage of the process I was at, what’s coming next, then the surgery and the recovery process. He was the most personable Consultant ive ever met. Most it seems are trying to get you in and out asap. Mr Rajah, knowing he was behind schedule and knowing by my body language that I had questions to ask, made sure I asked anything I was uncertain about. The pinnacle of professionalism. Knowing that it’s him will be operating on me put me at ease. I’ve twins at 9yo and to be honest the anaesthetic was worrying me, but now I feel better about it. You wait a long time on getting surgery, but when it arrives all the apprehension arrives along with it but I’m more settled that it’s himself. If this gets back to Mr Rajah, I’d met Consultants and Doctors over the years and I’m sorry to say I felt like a number where 99% where concerned, please don’t ever lose that empathy with the patient Mr Rajah, it’s the one thing that people can see that gives us a reassurance.

My name is Catherine M and I had an appointment with Mr Mahmoud at Halifax Royal at 9am on Nov 19th 2025 regarding possible knee surgery and couldn't have asked for my mind to be put at more rest. I was extremely nervous and his professionalism,kind courteous manner and willingness to listen to my concerns was just wonderful. He then examined me and went through my x ray results and his findings in such a calm, clear and straightforward way answering all my questions and totally allaying my fears, concerns and worries and totally put my mind at rest. Made contact with the Spire and was offered an appointment within days with Dr Hodge. He was kind, thorough, knowledgeable and reassuring. He took a detailed history of our 8 month old, carried out skin prick tests for various allergens, provided advice on the milk and soya ladders, assessed our baby’s eczema and referred us to his dietician contact. We had our baby’s peanut allergy confirmed and were provided with an action plan for this. Would highly recommend to anyone on the weaning journey, whose baby has had an allergic reaction, which has caused them worry about introducing other allergens. Thank you, Dr Hodge.

Just like to say what a wonderful understanding and kind team you have . After a wile through my consolation I began to feel very relaxed connecting with your GP . She was very interested with my health and wellbeing and making notes regarding my health history and present concerns. On a comparison to my NHS GP I was always felt I was a bit of pain in the back side when it come to my wellbeing and made me feel very anxious. Overall I got what I needed which is all that matters ultimately. Found it annoying to have to fill in yet another paper form when I’d registered online as requested via email the day before. Yet another different NHS portal - the third I have had to sign up to. Was also not happy to be asked for a credit card when I was there as a fully insured patient. I was told it was ‘policy’ but when I said I’d rather not it no longer seemed to be policy.

We went for an early pregnancy scan for a bit of reassurance and to get a better idea of dates and it was the best thing we could have done. Deirdre was our sonographer and was fantastic. She was so reassuring and kind and made us so comfortable throughout the entire process. The facility was spotlessly clean, modern and bright. Everyone we came across was helpful and so friendly!
