Moorfields truly deserves its reputation as the best eye hospital in the world. Mr Pal is an exceptional surgeon,highly knowledgeable, calm, polite, and genuinely caring. I have been living with diabetic retinopathy for a long time, and the fear of losing my sight has been constant. Thanks to Mr Pal’s expertise and treatment, my vision is now stable, and I feel reassured that my eyesight is safe. I am also deeply grateful to the entire team who supported me throughout this journey. Mr Pal’s secretary was wonderful, and the lady I spoke to on the phone took the time to explain every step clearly and patiently. She followed up with a detailed yet easy-to-understand email outlining the treatment and costs, which made a very daunting situation much easier to manage. The nursing staff were equally outstanding—kind, attentive, and reassuring at every stage. While the treatment is expensive, it is absolutely worth it when it comes to preserving your eyesight. After living in fear for so long, this care has given me peace of mind and hope again. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found Mr Pal. I discovered him purely by chance through an acquaintance, and I would wholeheartedly recommend Moorfields Eye Hospital and Mr Pal to anyone. Prof Field carries out a high volume of hip replacements annually, which, along with his research and other interests, gives him the breadth of experience and insight to be able to advise you in terms of treatment options and capability. I am so thankful for his advice to have both hips done together, he took away any anxiety I had and has significantly reduced the total impact of bilateral hip surgery in terms of down time. He is an exponent of the anterior approach and my personal experience has been, that with an independent local physiotherapist, at 3w post op, I was about a week ahead of where she expected me to be in terms of exercise capability, and any pain I’ve experienced has been very manageable. So quite a smooth recovery. Prof Field is a totally dedicated professional, who has personally kept in touch with me before surgery, after surgery at the hospital, and also after discharge, to check progress and give helpful advice. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Prof Field.

Attended for a blood test. I’ve had multiple bad experiences with blood tests over the years. This is primarily because I have very small and narrow veins which disappear with the touch of a needle..☹️ I find the whole experience extremely painful and distressing … I explained all of this to Debbie, the wonderful and kind nurse who attended me. She was brilliant! Totally put me at ease and was incredibly supportive and gentle. I was definitely a challenge for her as my veins were completely uncooperative per usual. But she took her time and used the smallest needle possible to minimise any discomfort. She succeeded in the end and managed to get enough blood for a full blood count!! Miraculous! I am so very grateful to Debbie for turning a potentially very upsetting and negative experience into a positive outcome. She has helped me to regain a little more confidence in having my blood taken again. Thank you Debbie! 😊

Having been under Mr Justin’s care for 5 years, following a tubo ovarian abscess and pelvic inflammatory disease, stemming from my appendix (all successfully resolved), I decided to undergo a total laparoscopic hysterectomy as a result of ongoing symptoms caused by adenomyosis. Mr Justin’s care, expertise, knowledge and meticulous approach throughout has been invaluable to me, enabling me to make informed decisions, prepare for the surgery and recover well, to achieve the best outcome. The follow up consultation (7 weeks post surgery) provided me with further information and reassurance about the surgery, and certain answers that provided, and the confidence that I can now move on from the issues of the past 5 years. I would (and have) trusted Mr Justin with my life. He is a superb consultant and surgeon, a consummate professional and a caring, kind person.

Needed a routine hernia operation, didn't want to wait 4–6 months, chose Royal Free Private Patients based on surgeon's online profile and because profits go to NHS; also I have been an NHS patient at RF. Was seen quickly for initial consultation and got surgery appointment when I wanted it. Mr Iype did a tidy job of the surgery, I am now recuperating with no complications so far and very little pain. Anaesthetists were friendly and efficient, and Severo my nurse in my ward was helpful, reassuring and friendly. I had a ward room to myself, which my wife could stay in while I had the surgery. It was clean and roomy, though a little cold – take extra blankets. The lunch I was given after surgery was pretty good, and they were able to get a sandwich for my wife too as well as teas and coffees. All in all, went very well.

The assessment was very thorough but efficient at the same time. The team on-site put me at ease, demonstrated confidence in their abilities and ensured I understood the problem and potential next steps. The practical next steps (eg costs, timescale and dates) were not the focus of this appointment and therefore, at no point did I feel a pressure to commit. The focus was more on the calibre of staff who would manage my next procedure and we also discussed any medical concerns I had. I walked out of the session thinking why on earth have I held back so long on getting this treatment done! Thanks to the team both the Dr and Fabrizio were incredibly professional and welcoming.

I had a 2 level spinal fusion and decompression carried out in 2 stages to relieve my sciatica. Mr Molloy had been extremely thorough in his initial examination and identified a problem previously missed by another spinal surgeon. My operations have been a total success and I have no sciatica whatsoever. Mr Molloy was meticulous in organising and overseeing my recovery to ensure there were no complications. In my opinion he is a brilliant surgeon who looks beyond the operation in hand in order to mitigate problems that might otherwise occur at a later stage.

Very happy to see Miss Fraser 6 weeks after my fascial sling which has completely stopped my stress incontinence . I would rate the visit very highly. The consultation was thorough and very helpful, and the location of the clinic was convenient for us. We were able to get a blood test done by a friendly nurse who made it painless for my daughter, and the results were provided quickly.
