Mr Georgios Theophilou is widely praised for his professional and kind interactions with patients. He consistently puts individuals at ease by providing clear explanations and actively listening to their concerns throughout consultations and various treatments. Patients report feeling heard and understanding their treatment options fully. His expertise extends to gynaecology, including procedures such as colposcopy and the management of endometriosis.
Where do I start! He made an 84 year old lady feel very much at ease and I think that must say it all! After having 2 brilliant Gynaecologists over a span of 40 years Mr. Theophilou is on a par with them. His gentle approach, mannerisms, explanation of my situation, was I felt, what a Consultant should be like to his patient - especially for the first time. So I think the Spire, Leeds should be very happy they have such a special Doctor in their Hospital.
I was a bit anxious about the appointment as I hadn’t met him before and I’ve had a tricky few months with the lack of care I’ve received from my usual provider. But he quickly put me at ease and seemed genuinely interested in my symptoms and was very knowledgable about endometriosis and women’s health. He was clear about what his remit was and what it wasn’t and offered me very helpful insight and options for next steps. I left feeling better than when I’d arrived.
My experience with Georgios was calming and reassuring. I was very nervous because at my pre-assessment appointment I was told that after the surgery I would have a lot of pain so I must take the pain medication to help me through it. After being told that I was quite nervous going into Nuffield for my procedure. When Georgios came to see me on the day of my surgery he was calming and professional. After my procedure, Georgios told me that everything had gone well. I was comfortable and in no pain.

I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. I’m very pleased that I was able to reassure you and help you feel more comfortable on the day. It’s great to hear that your procedure went well and that you were comfortable and pain free afterwards. I’m grateful for your kind words and wish you all the very best.
I couldn’t have asked for better. Wonderful seamless experience.
I arrived a little early to my appointment but Dr Theophilou saw me straight away so I didn’t wait any longer than needed. He was very polite and explained every detail to me so I knew exactly what to expect. He was very helpful and made me feel at ease throughout my appointment.
Dr Theophilou removed a large cancer through a tiny incision in my navel. He is a very skilled surgeon and has also been kind and supportive.
The whole process was very good, however I attended my post op appointment and left feeling rather upset that communication felt like it wasn't there. I was unsure of the reason for the post op appointment, and felt more consultant led questions could have been put forward to allow me to open up and ask questions. I am neurodivergent, and struggle with leading my own appointments. Overall, I think Mr Theophilou is very informative, understanding, and listens to everything you have to say. He was very kind, and changed my life with my diagnosis. I will be forever greatful that I was referred to him. Thank you Mr Theophilou!

I appreciate you taking the time to share such honest and constructive feedback. I’m sorry to hear that you left your post op appointment feeling that communication was not as supportive as it should have been. Your comments are valuable, and I have reflected on them and adapted my approach to make future appointments clearer and more supportive. I’m very pleased to hear that overall you were happy with your care and again thank you for your honest feedback.
I recently had consultations and following that a diagnostic laparoscopy for suspected endometriosis with Mr Theophilou. I found him to be very professional, listened well to my concerns, offered me a variety of different solutions and assisted me in making my decision. I saw him before and after the procedure and he was reassuring and made me feel at ease. I felt comfortable discussing my issues with him and how would have no issue in returning to him should I ever need to. I would most definitely recommend him to others.
I wish to express my sincere gratitude for the excellent care I received from Dr. Theophilou. His compassionate approach throughout my treatment was deeply appreciated. I truly felt heard and understood during our appointments. Thank you for your dedication and for making a challenging time so much easier. Your kindness made a significant difference.
