I recently attended YGC for a hysterectomy with my consultant Mr Clerk. What a phenomenal man he really is. He has given me the best possible out come i could ask for. Even though i was late going into surgery mr Clerk did everything he could to make sure i did not miss my slot. He was present when i returned from recovery at 8pm. Explained everything to me and made sure i was ok and comfortable. Not only was he there that late but the next day returned to the ward to check on me again late evening. He was also on annual leave. Every doctor should take as much pride in their patients as he does. He is a wonderful, kind man who has done nothing but go above and beyond. I am very lucky to have been appointed him as my consultant. Thank you Mr Nick Clerk for being the very best.

I recently had a laparoscopic cholecystectomy with Dr. Wilson and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care I received. Before the procedure, he took the time to clearly explain everything — how the surgery works, the risks involved, and what to expect during recovery. Even though I was very nervous, he reassured me every step of the way and made me feel safe and confident going into the operation. My surgery went perfectly, and Dr. Wilson checked up on me straight away afterwards, then again in the weeks following to make sure my recovery was going well. From first meeting with Mr Haslam he spoke so much in lay men’s vocabulary which gave me confidence in the procedure I was to have. Operation was just as had been discussed at the first meeting in July. I was told that a full knee replacement would be painful, which was true and even after eight weeks can still feel sore. Physiotherapists have been. So very helpful in my recovery. I was able to update Mr Haslam , how I was doing and thankfully he was delighted with my progress. I do realise that progress is ongoing for a while but I have been given confidence and assurance by Mr Haslam that all is going well.

Professor Richard Field

It’s always good to talk to Professor Field. He explained the process of fitting my hip replacement clearly and I saw an X-ray of my hip with the implant in place. He explained that new bone would grow round the ball. I have had no problems at all with my new hip replacement. Professor Field was happy with my movement in the joint and my walking. I am happy too. He is always happy to answer questions and it’s a pleasure to see him. I am going for a final check in 6 months. Already my hip feels very good and I am walking well. This is marvellous after a year of pain, frustration and depression.

I would very highly recommend the Clayton ward. We have had two babies there and were really well looked after by kind, happy staff (doctors, midwives, assistants, catering and reception) who taught us a huge amount about how to care for a newborn. Having access to 121 support from midwives anytime day or night is just invaluable. The food was very good (for hospital food) and we genuinely looked forward to it each day - it really helped us recover as sleep deprived parents.

Couldn't praise Mr Tang anymore. From the moment I met him, kind, knowledgeable, calm, and I felt at ease even though I ripped my bicep less than a day before meeting him and was in a serious amount of pain. There wasn't a question he couldn't answer, and the surgery was as painless as it could have been. He did say he has never seen a bicep recover so quickly, which I am very proud of; however, I think that was more him than me. Thank you again.

The London Clinic offers such a comfortable and clean environment, clinical in all the right ways, but still homely and warm. It feels far less “hospital-like” than most medical settings, which really helped me relax. The staff were all friendly, welcoming, and genuinely approachable from the moment I walked in. And the unlimited coffee on tap was a lovely touch! Overall, a calm, high quality clinic experience that made a big difference to my visit.

Was a little confused and concerned with all the last minute changes for surgery, then to be told and left waiting in a room for surgery to then say ur appointment was not the appointment time when u came in on our computer so they did change my appointment time! Other than that surgeon was fantastic brilliant and friendly After Care - as given a bag of meds and a latter and cards for the doctor with no sore dressings for wound area.

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but welcomed the opportunity to talk to the doctor during the visit. The written report, following the verbal followup was not of much use to me as it was written in medical ' code'. Had I had the written table of results to hand before the verbal feedback phone call, it would have permitted me to ask what areas denoted as being H /L were about and how I might make changes if any were possible.

I’d been to a previous physio at another clinic and she didn’t understand endometriosis at all, and Elodie knew everything! I have a pain at the side of my right knee - I call it a 'trapped nerve', as I don't know what the correct medical term is. This is the 3rd injection that I have had. I asked if Dr. Antbring if he could do the guided injection himself rather than go through ultra sound and he kindly agreed. The experience at the hospital couldn’t have been bettered. The outcome of the operation was very good - very significant difference immediately in my ability to pee and o received from the operation very quickly. The only down side - and in the end this was a minor irritation. - was the difficulty getting quick replies from his office when I had a query.

However, I received a subsequent email and letter from Check4Cancer that was for somebody else's results (there was no identifiable information to who the results pertained to).
