In terms of booking I didn’t have the greatest experience. I filled out the form online the night before and got a call the next morning. It cut off before I could answer the phone. I called straight back but it rang out to answer phone. I must have called back more than 10 times that day over the course of a few hours but no response. I finally got through to someone in the afternoon, by this time all the appointments had gone. I was in desperate need of a blood test which had to be done on a certain day of my cycle, hence the urgency. The lady I got through to firstly wrongly assumed I was another patient (a cancer patient) which I thought was unprofessional, as I shared the same surname as another patient. She apologised for not answering the phone and said that she would ‘put me at the top of the list’ and treat me as ‘priority’ and would call me back to let me know if she can fit me in for a blood test. I waited for the rest of the day and never received a call back. I believe the way bookings are dealt with is highly unprofessional and does not reflect the service you say you aim to provide to your clients. I then decided not to keep chasing this appointment as I had a negative experience with the booking staff and the booking process. Two days later I received a call early in the morning which woke me up. The lady realised I was half asleep and apologised for the ‘early morning call’. She asked if I still wanted to book the blood test. I said I would let her know. After some consideration I decided to go ahead with the blood test even though I had missed the ideal window. I then called back and booked, the lady on the phone was evidently a young girl who may be new and clearly lacked customer service training. She was unable to answer basic questions during the booking process and came across as new and untrained. I was then sent an invoice which had an additional 30 pounds added onto the expected 150 charge. The invoice didn’t state what the 30 pounds was for. I called back just to check, and again the girl was unprofessional and could not clearly explain what the fee was for. I would like to stress that I am generally the most down to earth and open minded/non judgemental person. So when I give feedback it is generally from a good place and when I feel a service falls below expectations or standards. Clients pay a lot of money to MUMS for peace of mind and investigations into health concerns. The website suggests a certain level of care and service. I personally feel the booking process and professionalism of the booking staff is quite poor in terms of false promises, not being able to get through when calling over 10 times and untrained staff. However what I will say is when attending in person my experience was a lot better than I had expected given the above and it went quite smoothly in the clinic itself. Please train the young girl on the front desk as she comes across as unprofessional and disengaged even though I know this is not her intention. There is a certain level of customer service a confidence needed to be able to deal with bookings which can often be of a sensitive nature.

Mr Lalin Navaratne

General Surgeon

I made an appointment with Mr Navaratne at his Lindo Wing clinic in St Mary's hospital Paddington. I was looking for  a medical 'answer' to the pain I was in. I underwent a scan in an NHS hospital and was told that a hernia was ruled out which I accepted, but was very confused. Mr Navaratne diagnosed my Umbilical hernia and Diastasis recti. I cannot speak highly enough of the care I received from this appointment all the way through treatment and my Lindo wing stay. I underwent a laparoscopic repair of the umbilical hernia with correction of my diastasis recti. I was in  exceptionally skilled and compassionate professional. I was extremely anxious in my first consultation and also going into surgery, but my surgeon addressed this with remarkable patience, reassurance, and empathy. He took an interest in why I was feeling nervous and took the time to explain every detail thoroughly, answered all my questions with clarity and confidence, and made sure I felt genuinely heard and supported. His calm, reassuring presence made a massive  difference and immediately put me at ease. From a medical standpoint, his expertise is outstanding. The procedure was performed with the highest level of precision and care, demonstrating deep knowledge, advanced technical skill, and meticulous attention to detail. My recovery has been highly supported by Mr Navaratne and his team. He is truly amazing BUT  for me what sets him is the combination of exceptional surgical ability and genuine human kindness. It is rare to find a surgeon who is not only technically brilliant but also so attentive, respectful, and compassionate toward their patients. I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone considering abdominal surgery. If you are looking for a surgeon who is highly skilled, deeply knowledgeable, and truly cares about your wellbeing, you could not be in better hands.

Nicola Hood has been a diamond in a coal mine for me personally. She opened my mind so gently that I never even felt it happen. Her manor is so calming and her abilities to shine light and logic onto what for me was the unexplained has taken me to a place where i can begin to regain control of a very important aspect of my life. Nicola seems to have a very natural talent of getting to the route of things without a feeling of invasion into your private feelings. I was embarrassed about the way i was feeling when i first spoke with Nicola and I am still amazed how easy she was to talk to and how quickly she understood and clarified things for me. Thanks to Nicola I am on a new path, with a different mind set going forward and with all the tools she presented to me I am now determined to honor her invested passion and emotional input by successfully conquering my fears and challenges. I can honestly say that alone i would have not been able to get back to where i want to be but Nicola has opened this door for me and shown me that it is achievable. My future now seems clearer and hopefully by me holding up my end of the commitment I shall be riding my motorcycle again and i look forward to the spring of 2026 where I can thank Nicola from behind my motorcycle handlebars. I had been experiencing symptoms for more than six months and decided to go private when my NHS referral was postponed a second time. I was nervous beforehand, but Dr Gratwicke was very reassuring. He gave me time to explain my symptoms and listened carefully. He took into account my family medical history and carried out an examination with a chaperone present. I did not feel rushed or that my symptoms were being dismissed. He recommended two scans and clearly explained the purpose of each. His report of my initial consultation came through in less than a week and was detailed and accurate. Once the scans were done, I was able to see Dr Gratwicke soon after to get my results. Again, he explained everything clearly and gave me a good understanding of what was causing my symptoms. The MRI had flagged something else as well, which required me to contact Dr Gratwicke through his admin team after the appointment. He responded to the additional information I sent through the very next day, again putting my mind at rest. Dr Gratwicke is calm, reassuring and extremely efficient in terms of organising referrals and reporting results. I am very grateful to him for his time and expertise.

Dr Farah Rehman

Dr Rehman is exceptional! In this meeting, as in all the others, she demonstrated an in-depth knowledge of the issues and her communication was excellent. She always brought us into the solution by helping us understand her prescription choices and the rationale behind them. Further, she paid attention to what we had to say about the symptoms etc. and importantly, also our state of mind and opinions. This was particularly reassuring. When she couldn’t give us exactly what we requested or suggested, she always helped we understand why and then provide more suitable alternatives. She came up with some treatment suggestions that we weren’t initially keen on but on further reflection, realise those may actually be perfect. In this meeting, as with all the others, she demonstrated, professionalism, knowledge understanding and empathy. And it’s perhaps her empathy and care that have always stood out the most, and given us that needed reassurance throughout the process.

Mr Kailas Munot

General Surgeon

I was a more complex patient for Mr Munot than usual and I had a consultation with Mr Munot where I was advised that he can definitely do the surgery but we’re not sure how the results will look and we probably won’t be able to get much implants in as it was for bilateral breast augmentation. However, once we booked surgery and went ahead etc I came out of surgery being told we could put a lot more then expected in and we think it’s gone really well so I was incredibly happy and reassured. 2 weeks later during the follow up I’m incredibly happy with the results so far and so was Mr Munot and also surprised with no creases etc from the incision due to the complexity of myself. No where near over the recovery yet or healing but so far so good and any concerns I’ve had mr Munot has responded asap which is really reassuring.

Loughview Health

General Practice (GP)

I contacted my NHS GP after developing an acute medical problem but was not offered an appointment or even the opportunity to speak with a GP. Loughvuew had be recommended to me by a friend and I had no trouble getting an appointment quickly. The reception staff were very welcoming and I was seen on time. The GP was very professional but also very open and friendly and I found it very easy to talk to him. He took a thorough history and did a full examination before explaining his diagnosis and proposed treatment plan. Overall I was very happy with the consultation and would thoroughly recommend Loughview to anyone seeking high quality, compassionate medical care.

Dr. Kerry Robinson

Dr. Robinson was excellent with our 13-year-old daughter. Most doctors direct all their questions to us as parents, but Dr. Robinson spoke directly to her from the start. She asked my daughter how she was feeling, listened carefully to her responses, and treated her with genuine respect. It was clear she values her patients as individuals, regardless of age. My daughter felt heard and taken seriously, which made such a difference. Dr. Robinson struck the perfect balance—keeping us informed while empowering our daughter to be involved in her own care. We really appreciated her approach and would definitely recommend her to other families with teens.

I had an excellent experience at London Dermatology Centre. Dr Allaa Al Tayeb was extremely skilled and professional, and took the time to thoroughly explain the PRP procedure in a clear and reassuring way. She walked me through the different treatment options available, set realistic expectations, and provided detailed after-care advice to maximise results. The procedure itself was very smooth and involved hardly any pain, which made the whole experience even more reassuring. I felt well looked after throughout the appointment and confident in the approach taken. I highly recommend Dr Al Tayeb and the clinic, and I will definitely be returning.

The administrative processes are not always easy to naviagate but the staff at the hospital are professional and helpful. Staff on reception seem well briefed on what information is needed from patients. Clinical staff - both on the wards and in the CT scanning teams were professional and reassuring. It would be useful - for people accompanying a patient for a procedure - to have some information about facilities available to them. I was at the hospital for 12 hours and the only way to get something to eat was to go out of the hopsital to buy it. It would have been helpful to have some catering available on site - if only by machine.

The waiting has been difficult as communication has been poor. I have struggled to get a response from the office both via email and phone. I had a combined assessment and received my ADHD outcome 3 weeks ago. I am still waiting for my autism assessment outcome despite being told the clinical decision has been made. The staff I saw as part of my assessment were fantastic and the support team have been helpful (when I’ve been able to contact them). It’s just a shame that the poor communication has spoilt the overall experience. It would have been good to under the process flow at each stage.

I was very impressed with the service provided and the professionalism of the team. I was quoted a five month wait with NHS at the Countess of Chester for a standard Ecardiogram.At Venturi Cardiology I was seen in two days. In terms of Cost Venturi were again a top performer. Whilst I cannot rate the quality of the report sent to my GP and a Cardiologist and myself completely baffled me (as you would expect)the overall service was top notch, and I would not hesitate to recommend them. I had an appointment for a blood test. Unfortunately, despite 2 attempts the nurse was unable to extract any bloods. The nurse decided to find a colleague - I was delighted to see a face I recognised, who had conducted this procedure successfully earlier in the year. She was able to take the bloods from my arm skilfully first time, without causing any discomfort. Her calmness, warmth and humour quickly helped me to forget my previous experience. Mr Sedra is an amazing surgeon. He looked after my father very well. He is a surgeon with Ethics and he has excellent bedside manners and very empathic. From day 1 until my father was discharged he was updating us regularly about his progress and his recovery. He didn’t even charge us and waived his fees because I am a doctor and this is very rare and not many people do that. I can’t thank him more than that and he is a real gentleman and a great surgeon.

Dr Saksena had full confidence in what he dies and kept re assuring me a hip replacement was the way firward but i lacked confidence in his words . 5 weeks into my operation i am so happy and now have all the confidence in my surgeon i should of had in the beginning. He is very experienced in what he does and i highly recommend him to everyone needing a hip or knee replacement.

We visited Mr Rad recently following a referral by a paediatrician over concerns with our daughter’s gross motor skills. Mr Rad carried out a thorough assessment of her in clinic and reassured us, giving us explanations as to why she might be experiencing delay and what our next steps should be. He was so kind and helpful - I would throughly recommend him to any parent.
