I have had Cataract operations to both eyes January-March 2025. Things didn't start well when the Surgeon, in a 'telephone consultation' with me, committed to a price for the new lenses I would get. This was later overruled by the Management who told me the Surgeon didn't have the authority to agree a price with me. So I had to pay quite a bit more than I was originally told. As in some £400 per eye more. Amusing to observe how the 'care' (on the NHS, but sub-contracted to this private business) was promoted as being 'Exactly the same as Private Medical Care'. Oh no it wasn't ...it was much better. Once I was flagged up as 'potentially suitable for a PRIVATE operation' using Implants that were 'Not available on the NHS' I was treated very different. Previously done examinations were repeated 'to be sure'. Does that mean they are not sure if you are a NHS Patient? ;). Additional examinations 'not available on the NHS' were done. Am I being unfair? A short review would just say this: *Generally excellent professional friendly staff. * Medical care excellent. But.... Appointment waiting times need reviewing - I have always had to wait at least 45 min, sometimes more than on hour, before being seen. Why? If you depend on a relative or friend to drop you off and pick you up it sometimes got a bit difficult: Is this appointment going to take 30 Min, or 4 hours? Nobody knows. Admin/organization sometimes a bit confused - Why did I get an email survey for my right eye, and not for my left? Waiting in the corridor between different checks in different rooms a bit of a hit and miss - staff running around, folders being handed over, people sitting and waiting being missed, the order in which things were done got a bit confused sometimes, patients reminding passing nurses that others who arrived after them were seen before them. But all with good humor! But, in the end, I can see excellent again with both eyes - and that is what is really important.

I had an great experience with Dr. Sotiris Nicholas and cannot recommend him highly enough. From our first meeting, he was calm, professional, and extremely reassuring. Dr. Nicholas took the time to clearly explain the anesthesia process and ensured I felt completely comfortable and confident before the procedure. At the surgery, his expertise and attention to detail were evident. I felt safe and well cared for at every stage, and the anesthesia experience was smooth with a far easier recovery than I expected. His calm manner and clear communication made a potentially stressful situation more manageable and reassuring. Dr. Sotiris Nicholas is an exceptional anaesthetist whose professionalism, skill, and genuine care make a real difference. I am truly grateful for his care and would highly recommend him to anyone undergoing a procedure requiring anesthesia.

I got to the hospital early due to the known parking issues. I spent 20 mins going around the hospital car parks without success. I made receptionists aware that I was there and had parking issues. I was advised that I couldn’t use your car park as I am an NHS patient. I don’t appreciate 2 tier management of patient's needs. I was informed that I could park directly outside on yellow lines without fear of receiving a penalty. I was worried while in Spencer’s as I wasn’t totally happy with where I was parked. As I was early, I was seen 15 mins before my appointment. I was made to understand that because I had difficulty uploading my medication the nurse had to complete this task. Staff were friendly and clearly experienced. I was given a reserved date.

Professor Chatrath is a sensational consultant. His 'bedside' (office) manner was quaint, kind yet direct with information provision/ instruction. His ability to quickly identify the issues I've been experiencing for a while and offer sufficient paths to ease & eventual remediation were first class and I've made tremendous steps already towards fully recovering from my right-side eustachian tube dysfunction! I couldn't recommend Professor Chatrath enough to anyone with ENT-related health issues/ concerns/ worries etc... The staff as Spire Hartswood were, as ever, fabulous too! Thank you Professor Chatrath!

The Clinic was a little difficult to find but once there the staff were excellent and very efficient. My appointment was on time and the waiting area was warm and comfortable. The consultant was very helpful and explained everything and answered all my questions. I wasn’t rushed or meant to feel unimportant. The nurse was helpful and reassuring. There had been an administrative problem that I had mentioned to the lady on arrival and that was completely sorted out by the time I left which was extremely efficient. I will have no hesitation on returning for a procedure in the near future. An excellent clinic

I cannot recommend Mr Khan highly enough for the care he provided during my prostate investigations. He was calm, professional, and extremely thorough throughout. He explained everything clearly, took time to answer my questions, and ensured I felt informed and reassured at every stage. His approach was measured and sensible, focusing on the right course of action without unnecessary intervention. At what can be a worrying time, his manner made the process far easier to manage and I always felt I was in safe hands. An excellent consultant and a credit to his profession.

My recent visit to the Fortius Clinic for removal of stitches and a post operative assessment was short, on time and to the point. On arrival, as always for previous appointments, the reception staff were briefed and I was immediately sent to the correct location, waiting time in a comfortable environment was minimal before being called in to see my surgeon, Mr Houlihan-Burne. who took the time to answer a few questions. and assure me that should there be any future queries or worries, he & his staff were always available. This was my first visit to a breast clinic after a referral, and also my first experience of having an mammogram and ultrasound. The clinic kindly found me an alternative slot the same day after I was unable to make the original appointment. Ms Seema Seetharam and the team I saw were all highly professional, approachable and kind. They answered my questions and gave me accessible information to help my understanding. They made a potentially very stressful experience much less stressful and I'm very grateful.

I had an excellent experience seeing Dr Wamil and would highly recommend her. From the outset, she was extremely thorough and reassuring, taking the time to listen carefully to my symptoms and medical history rather than rushing to conclusions. Dr Wamil explained the possible causes of my symptoms in a clear and balanced way and recommended a cardiac MRI to investigate further. She took the time to explain why this test was important which made me feel fully informed and confident in the decision.
