I recently had ICL surgery with Blue Fin Vision, under the care of Mr Hove, and wanted to share my experience. From the first consultation, the timeline to getting to surgery was pretty quick, with a few tests and a small, pre surgery procedure done in Harley street. I also had plenty of face time with Mr Hove, and his clear explanations and reassuring manner made a huge difference to what is quite a big decision! The procedure itself took about an hour, and it was a little stressful — as you’d expect — but the team did absolutely everything they could to help me feel comfortable and supported. In hindsight, I should have considered the level of sedation I wanted (as I only went with oral diazepam) and I know I could have had this conversation with Mr Hove beforehand if I had just given him a call. I felt throughout that Mr Hove’s number 1 priority was delivering the absolute best outcome possible for my vision. There was some discomfort right after, but by the next day I felt close to completely fine. The 1-week, 1-month and ongoing checkups are incredibly reassuring in terms of monitoring my eye health. Before surgery I had significant long-sightedness and astigmatism, and now I can see clearly without glasses or contacts — genuinely life-changing. Communication from Blue Fin Vision has been excellent throughout, and they were always happy to work around my busy schedule. Overall, I’ve had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend Blue Fin Vision and Mr Hove.

I felt reassured by Mr Terrace’s quiet, confident manner, his careful but thorough examination and his clear explanation of my options. My wife said that she felt he took a personal interest in our case: that we mattered to him. Arrangements for the procedure were made efficiently and carried out as planned. Following the operation and discharge I had an adverse reaction to my pain medication and had to return to hospital outpatients. Mr Terrace, indeed all the staff, were attentive, sympathetic and helpful and I was able to return home after a couple of hours. He said that if I experienced any problems I should not hesitate to contact him. Six weeks after the operation, as arranged, Mr Terrace followed up by phone call and I was able to tell him that I have recovered very well and am resuming all my normal activities. Mr Terrace assured me that he would be available at all times if further assistance was required in any way. My experience throughout has been positive and I am I most grateful to Mr Terrace for his exemplary care.

I am a very active 51 year old man and Mr Atkinson fixed my medial meniscus tear which had been obstructing movement in my leg. After 8 weeks I am back swimming, practicing Yoga 5 times a week (all poses including deep squats and child pose) and I also started kick boxing again. I will be training jiu jitsu again in a week's time. I also climbed the stairs at Highgate tube station this week - all 100 of them - without any pain or locking. I had a very good experience with Mr Atkinson. From initial to final consultation I was very happy with the care given to me. In fact my girlfriend who is also a doctor was very impressed by Mr Atkinson's knowledge on a variety of questions she asked. He was very accommodating of her as well allowing her to talk to him on the phone and with me in my final consultation. I was seen by Dr Heggy and a lovely staff nurse Charlotte. Dr Heggy was fantastic he actually listened to me. He listened to exactly how I was and had been feeling. I'd been told by another Dr that there was nothing that could be done so I had to see someone for pain management. I'm in pain everyday and just wanted a resolution or at least pin point what could be wrong. Dr Heggy really made me feel heard and suggested other things before we gave up and just give me medication for my pain. Nurse Charlotte was fantastic. While Dr Heggy was looking things up and trying to find other options Charlotte spoke to me like an actual human. So thank you to Dr Heggy and nurse Charlotte for your time and patience with me. Mr. Waterhouse was my choice because of his honesty, understanding, knowledge, advice and confidence during my consultations for my neck lift and submandibular gland removal. (Which he advised In fact, around 90% of the glands were removed. Which has given me my jawline back) He tailored his approach specifically to me, and now, at 8 weeks post-op, I am extremely happy with the results. I had a follow up appointment for more YAG Laser treatment. Upon entering Cathedral Eye Clinic you are greeted by very friendly and helpful staff at reception. Thereafter I had very detailed tests carried out by a female Optometrist who is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Finally I had further tests and this was followed by the laser treatment by Mr Best who exudes absolute professional brilliance and is very reassuring explaining everything in detail. A truly excellent experience and I can recommend their fantastic care to anyone.

From the first time I visited Cavell hospital. From reception to meeting my consultant all were very professional. Process was explained to me. I asked if I could be tested for allergy. The Staff found out for me and, for extra charge, arranged for further bloods to be tested for allergy. Check was completed in good time.
