I've been seeing Erin at PSM since March 2025 - she is by far the best physio I’ve ever worked with. When first starting treatment, I had no idea of what was wrong – just a feeling of being ‘uneven’. By November, I’m pain-free and have a far better understanding of my body and how to look after myself for years to come. I was referred to Erin by another member of staff at PSM clinic who said she was one of the best – and they were absolutely right. From the start, she took the time to understand how I was feeling, carried out detailed tests, and quickly identified the root of the issue. Over the past six months, we’ve worked together to strengthen my shoulders and back through a tailored mix of gym and mobility exercises. Erin has gone above and beyond to adapt my programme as I’ve progressed, and I genuinely feel the difference. Whilst Erin was on holiday, she arranged cover with Cam, who was brilliant at answering my questions and fine-tuning my programme – his knowledge was greatly appreciated. The wider PSM team, including Morgan and Ellie, have also been fantastic – always welcoming, friendly, and incredibly helpful, especially with my medical insurance.

An all round excellent experience. My appointment was arranged within a week, on arrival staff were very friendly and helpful. The consultant was very thorough in going through past medical history as well as ongoing symptoms. Found out a few issues that had never been picked up by my own GP practice, reassurance given, and appropriate follow up tests / procedures have been put in place. Some of my issues have been ongoing for almost five years, others possibly much longer. All medical information was explained to me in an easy to understand way. Overall, being able to find out all this in my first consultation is extremely reassuring and helpful. Without this private appointment, I would have had a very lengthy wait, i had been advised this previously by my own GP - several years or longer to be seen by respiratory medicine on the NHS. Very glad to have private medical insurance and able to get seen so quickly.

I met Mr Pollock three times during my treatments for a wide excision of the melanoma on my left arm. My first was an initial consultation and although I had done my homework regarding my diagnosis Mr Pollock was really clear about my treatment and what to expect which really reassured me, I'm in the right hands. Second meeting was for my surgery which all went to plan with no surprises and very well looked after at Spires Nottingham. My third meeting which was today was for me to receive the results of both biopsies and check my wounds. I'm thrilled to say I am all clear and my wounds are healing really well after four weeks. After my first appointment I left feeling reassured, it was explained in detail what the procedure was, what to expect and the aftercare. On the day of the operation Mr Gurjar took time to come and see me to check I was ok and explaining what was going to happen before, during and after the operation. Following on from the operation I had my follow on appointment after 6 weeks again Mr Gurjar made me feel very welcome, asking how I had been and checking the area where my operation. Mr Gurjar is very professional but also has a compassionate side, he has a good way with people. I am very glad I chose Mr Gurjar as my surgeon.

Mr Mark Norton

Mark Norton met me at the appointed time and explained that the Xray showed osteoarthritis in my left hip. Although not critical he recommended a hip replacement before the pain I was experiencing became worse. He said he could fit in the operation in early January if I was wishing to proceed. I said that time would suit me. He examined my legs which confirmed the problem and then passed me paperwork and consent form to enable him to proceed. I was then introduced to a Nurse who dealt with the initial preoperative tests. All together everything was conducted in a efficient and professional manner.

The Spire is a very clean and well equipt hospital but with limited parking. However, my last trip to the spire hartswood had an hours delay before I was seen, which isnt ideal. My thoughts on this is if Reform get their way and sell off NHS that private sector is no better equipt to deal with volume than NHS. Tjat daid onve seen I was treated by a lovely nurse Marianne who was very caring and jolly which made yhe appointment a very pmeasurable experience.

I was at the clinic for a 6 weeks post surgery appointment. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. I saw Kevin Bryceland. He showed me the xray of my new hip, explained the surgery and checked my progress. He was happy to answer any questions and explained the next steps. While it was busy in the clinic, Kevin took time to listen and I didn't feel rushed in any way.

However, Dr Ganan was super, and made me feel that he had all the time in the world for me. I should have had a list of questions to ask. However I was so surprised when Mr Anderberg told me I needed a total knee replacement and shocked as this had not been mentioned by my GP nor by my physiotherapist at the surgery who has given me exercises for my back and knee . Perhaps I should review these exercises with the physiotherapist .
