I had an initial appointment with Dr Lauren Colquhoun and Emily Holt at Willow Health, and honestly, it was such a positive experience. The appointment was meant to be an hour, but there was absolutely no rush and they actually spent around 1 hour 15 minutes with me just to make sure everything was covered properly. They really look at everything, my age, lifestyle including diet, exercise and sleep pattern, my long-term health conditions, and all the symptoms I’ve been struggling with. They didn’t rush me at all. They gave me some initial ideas to get started and said we’d talk through options once I’d had time to think things over and review the follow up materials, which I really appreciated. I left feeling genuinely supported and reassured. It was the first time in a long while that I felt confident I was getting the right advice, something you just don’t get in a 10-minute GP appointment. Would 100% recommend Willow Health to anyone needing proper advice, guidance and support.

The hospital is run like a well oiled ship. No need to be too early, as you have an appointment time and they will take you at that time. I went 30mins early, which was an extra 30mins of nervousness I brought on myself I could have done without! The staff are friendly and efficient. There are processes in place that give assurance that the hand over from nurse to surgeon and team are strict and everyone is on the same page as to who you are and what you are there for. The recovery was peaceful and friendly. And who doesn’t like toast and a hot cuppa after fasting for hours. My next appointment was delivered by email the very next day. I know I will be nervous going back, but it won’t be because I don’t feel I am in safe hands. Thanks to everyone who looked after me, from reception to consultant and everyone in between.

My original appointment was with Mr Kamran Saha, as it was thought that I had a which Mr Saha confirmed it was not but rather a cyst. As this was not his expertise, he referred me to Miss Swan Kang who confirmed it was a cyst and arranged an excision. During the procedure Miss Kang noticed a second cyst next to the big one which she also removed and sent both off for biopsies. Amazingly 6 days later there are no visible signs of any incisions apart from some slight redness in the area. I am super happy with the results and grateful to Mr Saha for referring me to Miss Kang. I was also very impressed by Robyn for taking care of all the underlying preparations for both consultations and the minor op which took less than 2 days to complete!!! Kudos to Robyn for managing everything so swiftly and efficiently.

My whole experience was exceptional. From the first consultation Mr Davies explained everything to me in detail, asked me many questions and really listened to what I had to say, it felt so good to be heard and not feeling rushed. From checking in at 7am until I left in the afternoon every member of staff I dealt with was so kind and reassuring, I felt very safe and confident. Mr Davies again went through everything and I felt reassured. My surgery was a month ago and I feel wonderful, no pain and my life is a lot easier. I was seen urgently by Mr Bish Pal at Moorfields Private Outpatient Centre, for symptoms of vitreous detachment. Not being familiar with the area, I had been sent directions by Carrie, the Practice Manager, who met me in the office and made me feel welcome and relaxed. My consultation and examination with Mr Pal was conducted very professionally. His attitude was reassuring and he addressed all my concerns empathetically. He explained the clinical conditions affecting my eyes and provided me with clear instructions about further treatment and follow up.
