The OCD nursing team are fantastic at what they do and the therapy team are absolutely brilliant. My 1:1 therapy was outstanding and so valuable to me during my time here. The catering team, the housekeepers, maintenance, reception.... All really friendly and professional. Two things that I want to mention that I have already fed back: 1. It was very disappointing when two team members were allocated to different wards with no transition (Greta-Mae and Carlo). I feel that when we are allowing ourselves as patients to be open and vulnerable and put our trust in people, to then be told they have moved with no transitional period is not very sensitive or fair. 2. I have also fed back about a patient that seems very unwell but does not have 1:1 supervision around the hospital. This person sometimes invades others personal space, says inappropriate and triggering things, has sometimes removed her clothing in the courtyard and I have also seen her with long sticks in her hands in the courtyard. I fed this back to the patient services manager and the board holder who agreed that this was unacceptable. I was told that until discussions have been had she should be on 1:1 care, but then the following day she was once again the courtyard thrashing round the same sticks. I think this is a safeguarding concern. Those two things aside, I have found my impatient care outstanding, I cannot fault the OCD ward team. I feel heard for the first time and have hope for my future now thanks to them. I will never forget what they have done for me.

I had a breast reduction with Dr. Siddiqui, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I had been considering the surgery for a long time, I was originally a size 34 GG (I am now a DD) so I booked a consultation with him. From the very first meeting, he took the time to talk everything through, showed me plenty of photos, and answered all of my questions with reassurance and patience. I never felt rushed and was given as much time as I needed. At my follow-up consultations, he continued to support me and address any additional questions or concerns I had. On the day of my surgery, I was very anxious as this was my first operation, but he was incredibly kind and reassuring, which helped me feel much more at ease right up until my discharge the following day. After surgery, I was given a nurse’s phone number that I could contact whenever I needed, whether for reassurance or any post-operative questions. That level of aftercare made a huge difference to me. Now, I feel so much more confident in my body and more comfortable doing even the simplest daily tasks. Nearly six months on, I am still so impressed with my results — Dr. Siddiqui did an amazing job. I truly couldn’t recommend him enough.

I visited the hospital to see an orthopaedic surgeon after having a fall at work and damaging my knee. I have had issue with it since the accident I suffered at work.I was advised to lodge a claim with my employers insurance. This I did because of the problems I am having with my knee. I was sent to see this gentleman so he could assess the damage to my knee. I was treated as if I was only there because I was lodging a claim and to have recompense for the damage I suffered and still am. He seemed very abrupt and I felt as though I was cross examined over the form I had filled in regarding my injury. I left the room feeling like I had done something extremely bad and wrong. I have never had to go through this scenario and very much hope not to have to go through another. I am a patient who has an injury that I am advised my a consultant needs an operation yet I was treated though I was feigning injury. I do not feel valued having attend at the one hospital.

When I arrived for my initial consultation I was very impressed with how much detail we went into, about myself, what I wished to achieve, why and how it would potentially affect my lifestyle and even possibly my vision going forward. Will has a lovely persona and I felt comfortable and at ease the entire time. I was given plenty of time to ask question and there was definitely no feeling of being either rushed, or pushed into the procedure. The procedure itself was great. I felt no pain and it was over much quicker than I had anticipated. Once home the bruising began but I had no pain at all and no need for any painkillers. I have since returned for my 12 week check and the difference in the before and after photos is quite unbelievable. I am over the moon with the results and would recommend Will at the drop of a hat. His expertise and skill were evident throughout the entire process which gave me complete confidence in him. He took the time to talk through the surgery and recovery and at no point did I feel rushed. The care provided has been exceptional. After a successful operation, Mr Qureshi personally called my husband after surgery and checked on me regularly whilst I was on the ward. I will be forever grateful to him!

From my initial enquiry about Refractive Lens Replacement surgery, through my surgery and aftercare I have had excellent care from Vision Scotland. Everything was clearly explained and the surgery has left me with the desired result, 20/20 vision with no glasses needed. The only (slight) negative difference here is a greater need for good light when reading at night or close work. The procedure was pain free and I have had no complications. I am looking forward to enjoying the results for (I hope) many years to come. Thank you to all staff involved with my care.

She explained everything calmly and thoroughly and I didn't feel rushed at all. I felt very comfortable to ask anything I needed to. I have had this condition since childhood, and this was the first time I genuinely felt properly cared for and supported. I left the appointment feeling informed, validated and hopeful. I had trouble releasing urine, as well as blood being present in the urine. Blood would still come out after urination. A stricture in my urethra was the reason for my discomfort. Mr Varun Sahdev was able to determine that and propose various procedure options. After the operation, all my discomfort gradually disappeared, with a very significant change right after the operation.

On arrival we were greeted by a lovely nurse and put at ease. She took Jessicia's weight and height and seated us in the waiting area. Dr Majeed Jawad was lovely as ever with Jessica. I recently saw Dr Esmail for a smear test and I can’t say how refreshing the experience was. As someone who has vaginismus and persistent hpv, I’d been worried about it for quite a long time. She explained what was happening at every step, gave me the space to stop when I needed and was so reassuring and warm. Can’t recommend Dr Esmail enough!

Was left waiting to go home after op - communication breakdown between day staff & evening staff and no follow up appoint for stitch/wound check - had to change dressings myself and contact BUPA for arranging appoint weeks later. Overall staff were lovely but possible lacking in cover/number of staff availability.
