Name: Patricia H. H. Patient ID: xxxxxxx Consultant: Mr Graham Bailie On Monday 8 December 2025 I visitied No. 6 Lisburn Road to have my wound reviewed. I recently had a full hip replacement with a wound on my hip with approximately 10 staples. The wound was reveiwed and reported that it was mending very satisfactorily. The original dressing on the wound was 30cm x 10cm. When the nurse was finishing examining the wound, she replaced the dressing with a smaller one - 15.5cm x 8.5 cm. She Spent some time stretching the smaller dressing to get it to cover all the staples in the wound. That evening, I experienced great pain with my wound. When I touched it through my clothing, the skin was extremely tender. Eventually, I removed the dressing to find extensive bruising at either side of the wound. It appears, that by stretching the smaller dressing to cover the staples, the wound itself had become extremely aggravated and angry. I replaced the dressing with a larger dressing. Within a few hours, the pain had subsided. However, 4 days later, the bruising is still present. I cannot understand why the nurse chose to use a smaller dressing which obviously caused great discomfort/aggravation to the wound. Having made a great recovery since the operation, this was a major setback to such a successful recovery.

From the moment I walked in, I was genuinely blown away by the presentation of the office. The space was immaculate, modern, and thoughtfully designed to create a calming and welcoming atmosphere, which immediately put me at ease. The staff were exceptionally professional, greeting me with warm smiles and efficient, courteous service, setting a tone of respect and competence from the very beginning. What truly stood out was the profound care and concern shown for my well-being. The doctor took the time to listen intently to my concerns, asked detailed questions to fully understand my condition, and explained everything with clarity and compassion, making me feel genuinely heard and valued. This attention to detail was evident throughout the entire visit; every aspect, from the thorough examination to the clear explanation of the diagnosis and treatment plan, was handled with meticulous care and precision. This experience exemplifies why this practice is an exceptional asset to the NHS, demonstrating how high-quality, patient-centered care can be delivered with excellence and integrity.

A bad first impression: I arrived as requested at 7:30 to find no staff in Reception and the whole area in darkness! After about 10 , mins a nurse arrived to take us through to the ward. I had been told by the nurse on the phone doing the pre-op check that I was first on the list. However on the day I was told I was 6th, but suspect there were more than 5 people in front of me, as I was not taken downstairs for the procedure until 1about 11:30.. The problem for me was that I was very nervous and the unexpected delay made me very anxious. During my time in Room 19 the male nurse (?) looking after me did an excellent job, trying to reassure me as well as doing all the necessary preparation. Once I got to the operating theatre everyone was pleasant, efficient and friendly, The sedation was effective and the experience much less unpleasant that the retinal tear repair I had had at Moorfields about 10 years ago. I am now in a much better state to face the procedure on the 2nd eve in a few days time.

I was very impressed with Mr Munasinghe. He took the time to explain everything to myself and my wife about the procedure and go through the various options. At no time did I feel under pressure to make a decision and I was told to have a think about everything before deciding. We decided to go ahead and it’s definitely made a huge difference to my life. Mr Munasinghe did a fantastic job and put my mind at rest too, as this was the first major surgery I have had. I followed his advice regarding the diet beforehand and also his advice for aftercare and am pleased to say the surgery went very well. I would have no problem recommending Mr Munasinghe as he has been extremely kind and professional throughout and did an outstanding job. My wife and I are both very grateful to him and cannot recommend him enough. Also I must mention his Secretary Ana who has also been extremely helpful and supportive throughout. A big thank you to you both from my wife and I for making such a difference to my life.

The appointment itself was very positive. Dr. Robert Gordon was calm, validating, and genuinely listened. The room was quiet, warm, and set up like a cosy study, which made it feel safe rather than clinical. He explained the diagnostic impressions clearly at the end in a way that finally made sense, and it didn’t feel dismissive. I left feeling understood in a way I haven’t experienced with other services, although the level of positivity felt unexpected and left me a bit uncertain about how to interpret it. The only issue was the arrival process. My appointment was in the late evening, and reception was closed. It wasn’t clear where to check in, and I had no phone signal. I had to rely on Wi-Fi and the website photos to work out where to wait. Overall, despite the initial uncertainty about the building, the clinical experience was extremely positive. Everything went smoothly, and the assessment itself was very professional.

From my first consultation and throughout the process, everything was explained clearly to me. Mr Ferris' website gave so much invaluable information as to how the whole proceedure would take place, and what to expect. I had cataracts removed and lens replacement on both eyes on the same day, all the staff were very friendly and kind, and Mr Ferris was very reassuring. The whole procedure was over within half an hour and I felt no discomfort at all. Removing the eye shield the next day, I was completely amazed at how vibrant colours were and my ability to see clearly, I was able to read without glasses for the first time in years! Five weeks on I am delighted with the results and would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Ferris, and the procedure is nothing to worry about!

I have recently undergone a series of treatments at Gatwick Park Hospital to correct swelling in my lower legs. All achieved a high degree of success but there remained a stubborn residual level of swelling in the lower left leg. The coordinating Gatwick Park GP referred me to Mr Maytham to investigate. After an examination including scans he decided sclerotherapy treatment was needed to correct vein damage. The results of the treatment were quite remarkable, accelerating the healing process within a couple of weeks. The swelling was eliminated and the skin which had been ravaged by severe ulceration and various infections had returned to normal. Very pleased to say the least!

Always an absolute pleasure coming to Vermilion, the staff are just on another level. I honestly think you wouldn’t get that kind of treatment anywhere else in the country. Customer service is first class. Everyone, from the admin teams and front of house, to the Drs and Hygienists. Had my third Hygienist appointment with Debbie last week, she is absolutely amazing, always feel better after seeing her (mentally and with a sparkling mouth 😂). Also, Dr Martin Morley is also such a great guy, so easy to talk to and great at what he does. Best dental team, hands down.

At the assessment consultation Mr. Singh addressed all my questions with a calm, reassuring confidence, and in language understandable to me - a layman. On the day of my operation he checked in with me before going to theatre, and later, shortly before I was due to leave. Ten days later I was delighted when I had the dressing removed, as the nurse commented how neat the wound (stitching) was; so all credit to Krish's needlecraft too! I had no post-operative complications. I would readily recommnd Mr. Singh to anyone requiring similar surgery. Thank you Krish.

I had my initial integrative health assessment with Dr Anna Forbes and she put me at ease straight away. She asked thoughtful, probing questions and created a space where I felt comfortable being open and honest about who I am and why I came for the assessment. The session felt calm, structured and genuinely personalised, with clear explanations and a holistic perspective that connected the dots rather than treating things in isolation. I left feeling listened to, reassured, and confident about the next steps.

The C-section itself was handled in an extremely professional and calm manner at The Portland Hospital. All of the midwives were exceptional; kind, reassuring, and incredibly supportive both during the procedure and throughout my recovery. The post operative care was excellent, and the team went above and beyond to support us as first-time parents, offering guidance and reassurance whenever needed. Our experience at The Portland Hospital was outstanding, and we felt genuinely cared for at every stage.

The New Vic --- now known as the 'BUPA New Victoria' --- is a smallish but excellent private hospital situated just off the A3 between Wimbledon and Kingston. It has recently been enlarged and its large Reception is now most welcoming. So far as I know, the rooms are all of the ground floor and overlook well-maintained gardens. Surgical procedures that my family and I have had at the New Vic over the last thirty years have all been trouble-free and successful.

To help other people having the operation, I would encourage them to have it and explain its hard work at first but gets easier the more work you put in yourself , meaning physio work , sticking to the plan and not doing too much or definitely to little and being patient, success will come it might take time . I'm totally pain free which probably took a good 4 months to get there , now after nearly 10 months I have no problems whatsoever!

I did not want a general anaesthetic and Dr Siddiqui was positive and accommodating in allowing me to have the surgery with just a local anaesthetic. The surgery felt incredibly smooth and professional and the aftercare has been diligent and thorough.
