Mr Mehta inspired confidence in the surgery he was going to perform in the pre op meeting using plastic models of shoulder. My Discharge meeting was nothing but good news and both Mr Mehta and myself were very happy with the healing process.

Having endured a year of continuous pain after very badly breaking my humerus, and many assurances that healing was progressing, albeit very slowly, it was a huge relief to meet Mr Mehta who confirmed that a pin and plate operation was the only remaining solution to regain a degree of normal use. He explained at great length the possible risks with the procedure and it was my decision to go ahead. Immediately after the operation he assured me that the procedure was as successful as he could have hoped for, and this was confirmed as only 3 days later I realised that I was no longer in pain. Now, 3 months after the operation he has confirmed that all is proceeding well.

From my first appointment when I Mr Mehta and my planed surgery was arranged I still felt nervous for the unknown. On my day of surgery the reception were very kind and helpful I was shown to my room, a designated nurse came to my room were my temperature was taken along with blood pressure, she told she would take me to operating theatre later a physiotherapist called too tell me what exercises I would have to after the operation, I had someone from catering to ask what would like to eat after my operation Mr Mehta came in to see me and draw a big arrow on my left arm he asked me was I allergic to anything I said yes pain he don’t worry I will see you later in theatre. I went theatre about 1 hour later the male nurse was trying to keep me calm having a joke with I then went into the theatre and laid on the table, I was all wired up for sound lol. Mr Mehta can in and asked how I was I said anxious. I then felt the biggest I have ever felt with the local anaesthetic Mr Mehta said I got the smallest needle purple one all of us in theatre had a laugh after the operation I was taken back to my by the porters. My experience at the Nuffield Hospital was very good they could have no done for in one word it was Great.

Recent underwent right forearm tendon surgery with mr Mehta. The speed of time from the initial appointment to surgery was incredibly fast. Mr Mehta was very open and knowledgable regarding the injury and the surgery with risks and recovery period. I have been discharged today having made a full recovery with no complications. fantastic process by Mr Mehta from start to finish and felt both safe and informed throughout the entire process including my healing process.

Highly skilled and compassionate. Worked on my very badly broken shoulder as an emergency on Christmas Day, and over 3 hours of surgery put me back together. I understand it was a very challenging operation, but I am making a good recovery and after care meetings have been very positive. We are very lucky to have such kind, dedicated and highly skilled practitioners in our NHS.
