Mr Siddharth Govilkar

Mr Siddharth Govilkar is a skilled Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Hip and Knee Surgery at Nuffield Health North Staffordshire Hospital. He also holds the position of Hip Fracture Lead at the University Hospital of North Midlands.

Mr Govilkar obtained his medical degree from Queen Mary University of London and received his training at the renowned St Bartholomew's Hospital and the Royal London Hospital. He is a Member and Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons of England and completed his surgical training in 2012. He further advanced his expertise through specialised training at the prestigious Robert Jones Agnes Hunt Hospital (Oswestry) and a one-year fellowship in arthroplasty and reconstructive surgery at the renowned Wrightington Hospital.

With an impressive track record of national and international publications and presentations, Mr Govilkar was recognised as a Future Leader by the British Orthopaedic Association. He has taken on the responsibility of leading the Hip Fracture service at UHNM, where he oversees a large multidisciplinary team providing care to over 850 hip fracture patients annually. Additionally, he performs a significant number of elective total hip and knee arthroplasty procedures (200+ annually)

Mr Govilkar's commitment to improving patient experience and the quality of care is evident through his passion and enthusiasm. He has a range of special interests, including: total hip replacements, revision hip replacements, partial knee replacements, total knee replacements, revision knee replacements and non-operative management of hip and knee arthritis. He also has expertise in enhanced recovery, day case hip & knee replacements and the use of ceramic and advanced polyethylene for joint replacements.
