Mr Malhotra has completed his orthopaedic training in the prestigious Stoke-Oswestry rotation. Further on he has completed a 16-month fellowship at the well-reputed Pulvertaft hand centre at Derby and two international fellowships in upper limb spasticity and peripheral nerve surgery at Institut de La Main, Paris as well as Ganga hospital, Coimbatore, India. Subsequently he was appointed at the University Hospitals of North Midlands as a Consultant Orthopaedic hand and wrist surgeon with an interest in peripheral nerve injury and upper limb spasticity.
Mr Malhotra's expertise includes managing complex hand and wrist trauma and elective procedures, peripheral nerve injuries including brachial plexus injuries and upper limb spasticity in both post stroke and cerebral palsy patients.
Along with routine procedures, he performs arthroscopic wrist procedures for sports injuries, endoscopic carpal tunnel decompression, percutaneous needle fasciotomy for dupuytren's and joint replacement procedures in hand and wrist for arthritis.
Most of Mr Malhotra’s surgical procedures are performed using the awake regional anaesthesia
technique.
Mr Malhotra is also the lead trainer for all orthopaedic trainees at University Hospital of North Midlands.
Mr Malhotra see's private patients at Rowley Hall hospital.
