When booking the consultation with Nick Panay, the earliest available date was 2 months in advance. I was required to pay the full £395 under pressure at time, being told that the consultation would be lost unless I paid by 5pm. My understanding that this appointment would be for specialist, in-depth input tailored to a complex clinical history. Given that context, I was disappointed that the consultation felt limited to a reiteration of guideline-based recommendations, with little opportunity to explore causation, individual nuance, or the specific questions I had prepared. At several points during the consultation, I felt that my questions were closed down rather than explored, and the overall tone felt more directive than supportive. Given my long and complex medical history, I had hoped for a more compassionate and collaborative approach. Instead, I left the consultation feeling unheard and dismissed, which was distressing. I had hoped for greater depth and collaborative discussion, particularly in light of the significant upfront cost. I was given no additional value beyond what I already knew and was told in any case, that I required a further consultation to finalise a treatment plan. I have been in contact with the practice and explained that the consultation did not meet the reasonable expectations set by the cost, structure, or positioning of this service. I appreciate that since, I have received a considered response from the Practice Manager and the consultation and fee are being reviewed.

I was informed in the email sent for my first appointment that the consultation would take approx one to one and a half hrs maybe more if I was having tests. I saw the consultant and had the tests, this took no more than 10-15 minutes. In my experience of having private consultation I don’t think this was a consultation, I was told someone will call me and give me details of the treatment, I was not given a time or day when this phone call would take place. I tried to ask questions about the treatment but was told they would explain all to me in the phone call. I called next day as I had other commitments the following days and weeks and may have missed their call. I was given the information about the treatment on the phone, I asked if I was paying for this phone call and was told that I would not be charged. I was charged and paid for the tests on the day, after the phone call I later received an invoice for the consultation of £300, so basically I was charged for a phone consultation as I don’t believe I got a consultation on the day that warranted this amount of money. I am really disappointed with this kind of service, I believe if I’m paying for a private consultation I should be given the time face to face so that I can ask questions and understand the treatment that I will be paying for. This was not NHS where you are only allocated a small amount of time, which is why I am so disappointed with this service and the costs which is unwarranted.

Having previously undergone LASIK, I was initially concerned about how this might affect the procedure, but the team addressed all my questions and tailored the treatment perfectly. I opted for EDOF toric lenses, which have made a remarkable difference to my vision—providing excellent clarity and reducing my dependence on glasses. I would like to provide some positive feedback following our recent experience, Mr Sobti's PA, whose name I unfortunately do not have, was extremely helpful and efficient. She arranged a virtual appointment with Mr Sobti on Friday 12th December at short notice and ensured my daughter was seen promptly so her care was not delayed over the Christmas period. She also made sure an MRI slot was available that same Friday evening if required, and organised a follow-up appointment for Monday 15th December. This meant we were able to receive a diagnosis and treatment plan very quickly, which we greatly appreciated. Mr Sobti was also excellent. He explained everything clearly and was calm and reassuring throughout the consultation. Overall, we received a very good level of service and felt well supported throughout the process.

Mr Nigam and his secretary Jessica were brilliant from the very first email response right the way through to my final review. All my questions were answered promptly and the whole process was managed in a really efficient, dignified and professional manner. My initial consult was arranged within 48 hours of my first enquiry email, and after informing the team that managing this was time sensitive, my treatment was booked within 10 days. I was really well prepared for what to expect and the post-op phase, and truly found that there was little/no discomfort. I'd 100% recommend Mr Nigam and Jessica for anyone in need of his expertise!

The staff were incredibly helpful, understanding and supportive. I explained my concern and was given an urgent appointment. Vanessa S is the perfect person for her role and puts people at ease immediately. She secured me a hearing test and a consultation appointment on the same day. She also helped me with some of the administrative elements of using my private healthcare as the process has changed since I last used it. Very helpful, friendly, professional and reassuring. I was greeted on arrival, immediately shown to the waiting area and taken straight through to my first appointment, even though I was a few minutes early. Cannot fault the service I received and the care and professionalism was consistent throughout.

I had an ADHD evaluation at Diverse Minds Clinic. I did some research before booking, and I chose Diverse Minds Clinic since the psychiatrist, Dr Alex Cappai, also works for the NHS ADHD service. Dr. Alex Cappai listened to me and made me feel heard. She was quite friendly, and I felt at ease during the assessment. I was diagnosed with Adult ADHD mixed type in my fifties, which was a bittersweet finding. Dr. Cappai provided me with practical counsel that was extremely beneficial, as well as the time I needed to comprehend my diagnosis. The staff at Diverse Minds Clinic have been really professional and helpful throughout the process, and I would strongly suggest this service.

as ever, the administration has let your business down. i had an MRI scan at Cleveland Victoria at 1000hrs and the outcome should have been given to Neurologist Dr Richard Perry. Having had more than 35 minutes consultation, i asked about the MRI scan and it had not been sent to him. as a result, we had to have a lunch around the corner and had to return an hour later to continue the consultation. I have complained a number of times about the poor administartion. this is yet another.

I had an appointment for a blood test. Unfortunately, despite 2 attempts the nurse was unable to extract any bloods. The nurse decided to find a colleague - I was delighted to see a face I recognised, who had conducted this procedure successfully earlier in the year. She was able to take the bloods from my arm skilfully first time, without causing any discomfort. Her calmness, warmth and humour quickly helped me to forget my previous experience. My recent visit to St Edmunds Hospital was a very enjoyable experience, Mr Hussain who performed my eye surgery, explained everything before the operation clearly and went through every step of the procedure with me, answering all my queries and concerns, after the procedure. he was available to contact in the weeks following. I had a knee replacement and had a reaction to the anaesthetic which resulted in me having to spend several days in bed vomiting copiously. The staff were so supportive and caring; the nurses couldn’t help enough, the porters, physios, catering staff and cleaning crew were good natured , helpful and thorough. Since arriving home I have had numerous phone conversations with Horder staff, who have been reassuring and helpful with my recovery.
