I recently saw Professor Shahid Khan at The London Clinic, and I could not be more grateful for the exceptional care I received. From the moment I met him, it was clear that he is not only an outstanding gastroenterologist but also a genuinely kind, approachable, and gentle human being. Having seen several gastroenterologists in the past, I can say with complete honesty that none have come close to Professor Khan. His calm manner, clear explanations, and reassuring presence immediately put me at ease. Professor Khan performed both a gastroscopy and colonoscopy for me at The London Clinic. I had been quite apprehensive beforehand because of a painful experience with this procedure in the past. To my absolute surprise, under his care I did not feel a thing. The entire process was smooth, comfortable, and handled with the utmost professionalism. What truly sets Professor Khan apart is his combination of clinical excellence and genuine compassion. He listens carefully, takes time to understand concerns, and never makes you feel rushed. His confidence is reassuring, yet he remains humble and warm throughout. I left my appointment feeling fully informed, cared for, and deeply appreciative of the level of attention he gave me. It is rare to find a consultant who blends expertise, empathy, and humanity so seamlessly. I would recommend Professor Shahid Khan without hesitation to anyone seeking the highest standard of gastroenterological care. He is, quite simply, exceptional.

I went in today for my first ever colonoscopy. Although I was nervous, every staff member I met made me feel comfortable and at ease. there was a brief 10 minute wait before I saw the nurse, who was very informative about the procedure and took some recordings (blood pressure, heart rate etc.) before asking me some questions. After not very long at all I went into the room to have my procedure and Samer and his team were excellent in talking me through the process, what I might experience, and how long it would be. They regularly checked in on me throughout to ask how I was doing. Regarding the colonoscopy itself - overall I felt no pain at all really - some discomfort from the gas (which they make you aware of) but otherwise it was fine. I chose sedation rather than gas & air, and found this worked well for me. It is an odd sensation in general; but manageable. The procedure took maybe 20 minutes, before I was moved to recovery. The recovery nurse & all staff members there were very friendly. They read me my report, made sure I understood the results, and gave me some biscuits and squash (which I was grateful for after 24H of not eating!) - I was out from here after around 20 minutes, having no notable lingering side effects from either the medication or procedure. Overall, fantastic service from everyone. Thank you so much.

All of the staff at Nuthfield were so kind. Everyone was always smiling and being happy and kind to myself and my partner. From the receptionist who told us where to go and took us to our room. To the night nurse that checked us in to the room. I had multiple nurses come and check on me throughout the time I waited to have the cystoscopy. We were able to get food before and after. We arrived at 07:00 on the 27th, and I can't remember all the lovely people's names who helped us. My only slight criticism would be from arriving at the hospital at 07:00 the actual procedure didn't start till after 09:00 and this gave me lots of time to overthink the procedure. But I think that was a me problem and I also don't know how long these things take to check people in etc. So apologies if it is standard haha.

I saw the cardiologist as I couldn’t get appointments at my GP surgery. I was really impressed with the whole procedure. The Consultant was wonderful and was able to reassure me. He listened to me and later explained all the results of the tests. He did an Angiogram on me himself which I thought was a great idea as he could see my heart in real time, no report from a technician needed no wait. I had to have bloods taken by Debbie . A very nice nurse . Again I was made to feel comfortable and reassured with my problem. There is a plan in place and I return to see cardiologist again next week. I will definitely use the facility in the future for myself and family. Due to the chaos that is the NHS at present.

From consultation to follow up after surgery, you cannot ask for anyone better than Mr. Freites. I felt comfortable and well informed about my surgery and what I could expect afterwards. But what really ment the most was the fact that he acknowledged my fibromyalgia, taking into consideration how the fibromyalgia would respond to the stress of surgery, doing whatever he could to limit that stress, even down to words of encouragement and sometimes it’s just the little things that help the most in healing. Thank you Mr. Freites, so glad I picked you to do my surgery.

Different time slots and sessions or more flexibility. Clearer communication between services and funders. Digital timetable, links and resources could benefit from being clearer/more easy to find. Mixed bag of staff, although the weaker ones did go quite quickly it still felt as though I was a bit of a guinea pig and didn't get as much from those sessions. Core team very caring, compassionate and supportive. Environment is an downside, a shared office building is not the best setting.

pleased with consultant and his diagnosis.not so with the rest of the hospital.toilets broken;no working water urns,had to wait 10 mins for someone to serve me at the cafe and when they did the coffee was tepid;had to wait over 25 mins to be seen by doctor.reception did not know where the nearest bus stop was but they did ask a local employee for me.so medical section of your hospital i cant complain about but the rest of it was poor
