Before my procedure I had quite a lot of tests to determine what the actual issue was. Eventually it was found that I had severe mitral regurgitation and needed immediate surgery. Dr Casula met with me and explained everything clearly and in simple language. Obviously I was very nervous but Dr Casula was so calm and soft spoken that I felt more comfortable with the procedure although I was still scared. On the day of the procedure, he came to see me and explained what would happen, I did stop him after a certain point as I didn't want to know. Following the procedure, the next day he again visited me in ICU and was full of smiles asking how I felt and explained there'd been no issues and he was happy. A member of his team called in to see me the following day and Dr Casula again visited me the day after when I was no longer in ICU. The man is so professional, yet able to converse on any level. He is understanding, calm and great to talk to.

I have recently had a course of Low Level Light Therapy for my Macular Dry Eye condition with Mr Yodaiken at his Dry Eye Clinic in Salford. Booking process is excellent via his very efficient and friendly PA and appointments take place precisely on time. Mr Yodaiken explained everything in great detail prior to my treatment starting that involved an OCT Scan followed with twice weekly sessions for 4 weeks that are completely non invasive. A follow up consultation took place recently, 8 weeks after the final session along with a further OCT Scan for before and after comparison and results. The treatment has been extremely successful and the damaged macular has shown significant improvement in both of my eyes. I am pleased to very highly recommend Mr Yodaiken and upon his sound advice will continue to return for more LLLT in 9 months. Eyes are precious and the cost is well worth it.

From the first time I met with Mr. Costin Brown, for the initial consultation, I felt very reassured by his friendliness and professionalism. He always took time to explain things and then to look into the possible issue with nickel being present within the implant as I have a nickel allergy. The fact that he then took time to telephone me and discuss the matter was also extremely reassuring. The staff and facilities at Nuffield hospital were the best I have ever experienced. Staff were friendly, caring and attentive and at no time did I feel rushed . I would have no hesitation of recommending Mr. Costin Brown or the Nuffield Hospital in Newcastle under Lyme. Dr Mavrides went out of her way to ensure my pregnancy was as smooth as possible and alleviate all my concerns. She was superb during the delivery of my baby and made the entire experience so special for our family and better than we could have ever hoped for. My last visit was with my Chiropractor at the end of a tri program. (Program included a Chiropractor and 2 Physiotherapists - Soft tissue and Exercise) Following my initial diagnosis, which was both thorough and explanatory, I always received a warm welcome at Reception which helps when you are feeling fragile. The program mixed between all three experts and I only ever had to wait a few minutes for my scheduled appointment. Each expert was friendly, professional and put me at ease straight away.

I met Mr Kharwadkar, the surgeon who performed a knee replacement procedure on three occasions. On my first visit, meeting him when I was an inpatient and my last visit he was pleasant and welcoming. Putting me at ease. He has always explained everything clearly. His report on my first visit was very detailed and clear. My operation was a success. Should I need the same treatment on my other knee I would have no hesitation in agreeing to Mr Kharwadkar performing it.

My experience of the hospital ward staff, the theatre staff and the after care was very good. The post op care from Mr Keeling in particular was excellent as he responded to email queries I had very promptly. I found my surgery was quite debilitating in the first 2 - 3 weeks, and although I did my own research and reading up on what to expect post - op, there was some very useful advice and tips online which could be included in your post leaflet advice.

The spire Elland was a lovely, clean hosptial. My room had recently been renovated, which meant it felt clean and comfortable. The staff were all nice, regularly bringing me hot drinks and heat packs for my symptoms. A particular shoutout to the team conducting my anaesthetic, I was quite overwhelmed/concerned and they really supported me and put me at ease. I would definitely consider spire elland again for my treatment.

Generally good on all fronts. After care from the head gyn nurse, not the best when I phoned, with an issued to the ward, and got put through to her. The scan team, left me waiting by taking the patient due after me in first. Not good when you have a full bladder. But on the whole, everything went well, clean hospital and caring staff.
