During my recent experience at Cleveland Clinic London, I was under the care of Professor James Teo and Dr. Dipesh Patel for my diagnosis of myelitis. Diagnosis: The professionalism and expertise of both Professor Teo and Dr. Patel were evident. I was admitted as an inpatient for a couple of days, and my stay was exceptionally comfortable and reassuring. I appreciated their responsiveness to my needs, ensuring I felt comfortable during my brief stay. Following my inpatient stay I transitioned smoothly into outpatient care. My follow-up appointments have been invaluable, with thorough evaluations of my ongoing recovery. They also provided me with educational resources to help manage my condition effectively. I came into St Joseph’s on the 10th of January for a Abdominoplasty procedure, from entering the hospital and being greeted professionally by the reception, to the assistant who came down to reception to collect me and show me your my room, went smoothly and l would say, the highest stand l have had at a private hospital. The ward staff attended to me immediately, carried out their pre-op checks, were very informative in terms of time of the procedure etc, l couldn’t have been made more comfortable and cared for. The cleanliness and room was outstanding, l have had a number of stays at private hospitals over a period of 15 years and St Joseph’s is the leader from all parts of the service provided, your hospital should be used to show others how to set the highest standards, which you certainly excel at. Mr Wilson was outstanding too, from our initial consultation to the surgery and aftercare. I recurved a call from St Joseph’s on the 3 day after being discharged to check on my progress, which l wasn’t expecting but very much appreciated it. I have received the highest of care and everyone l met was amazing. Thank you for everything you did for me.

My first appointment with Dr James Thing went very well though I had to phone the clinic to say that I would be late for my appointment since the taxi broke down on the way. I arrived at the clinic with my husband 15 minutes late, but I was seen by Dr Thing without further delay. He told us that there was a patient who was on hour late on that day perhaps due to the cold weather. Dr Thing checked my medical details, my knee conditions in both legs, examined my knees carefully before looking them closely on the screen. I had bilateral Ostenil Plus Knee injections while the doctor was guided by Ultrasound Scan to insert the needles into the exact area of my knees. I had a little sensation when the needles were inserted but it was done in a gentle manner that I was feeling alright throughout the time of insertion. The whole procedure went smoothly and the doctor said he would see me in a year's time. In the meantime I was to take it easy and rest well for my knees to heal and he would write me an email in three weeks' time to see how I was doing.

My son is coming to the end of his treatment for Pectus Excavatum and is pleased with the results having used the vacuum bell for almost two years. Mr Hunt has always been very honest with him and we knew from the start that correcting a 2.6cm dip was not going to happen because of his age (16yrs). However, my son is delighted with his 1cm improvement and for him it has made a difference and he is very grateful that he was accepted to be treated by Mr Hunt. My son is now 18yrs and knows that it is unlikely that his chest will improve further but he is going to finish the two year treatment plan and then start to wind down wearing the vacuum bell. He wears it at night for 8 hours which has worked well for him.

Steve is excellent. Personable and very professional and clearly knows his stuff. He operated on our son following a shoulder dislocation playing rugby. Throughout the process, Steve was clear with the surgical options and very thorough in his explanations, particularly understanding with the emotions of a teenager and his desperation to be back on the pitch again. He has a friendly manner and was always quick to answer extra questions we had between consultations. He did an excellent surgical job on our son and we’d have no hesitation in recommending him. My surgery took place there and had to stay overnight due to vertigo and dizziness. The hospital was friendly, new and pristine. The nursing staff outstanding as well as of course the medical team. I had dinner and breakfast and it was also healthy and delicious. Yesterday I returned to have the dressing removed and it was equally good. If any criticism would be to the pharmacy with a 30minute wait to get my prescription and also despite being a Bupa hospital not having the availity to charge Bupa for medication- I am under Bupa Global and in other Bupa hospitals this is the case.

This was my second cataract operation on my left eye having had a very successful cataract removal and lenses replacement on my right eye performed by Mr Sian a couple of months earlier at Musgrove Park. Mr Sian’s skills , patience and care are exemplary. The outcome hss exceeded all my expectations. For information I initially saw Mr Sian at the Nuffield and had my resulting procedures at Musgrove Park due to the complexity of both eyes. My comments apply mainly to Musgrove although are also applicable to treatment received by Mr Sian at the Nuffield Taunton.

I am very happy with my first experience at the Practice today. Everyone was relaxed and friendly. It was so reassuring to be certain I was seeing an actual medically qualified person (uncertain in todays NHS) whose judgement therefore I felt I could trust. Dr Ridout was very understanding and approachable - an attentive listener, carried out an objective examination and was happy to discuss it together with why she was suggesting the proposed treatment plan. Karen was so lovely to speak with over the phone regarding my daughter’s issues that’s she’s had with eczema and allergies. I thought it would be a 10 minute check in but the call with Karen lasted the hour. I did not feel rushed and my concerns were listened to. Karen gave really great advise around adding things to diet that may help my little one and reminding me of all the things I can incorporate to ensure I am covering all food groups and possible allergens. Visit was easy to book via Circlehealthgroup although reception seems to be over capacity compared to previous visits particularly with all patients having to queue and book in at main reception as opposed to the previous process of checking in at the Outpatients Area reception. Queue resulted in slightly late arrival to patient waiting area.
