About Dr Clinton Mitchell
Dr Clinton Mitchell is a Consultant Neurologist with broad expertise in acute neurology and general neurological conditions. His clinical interests include headache disorders, epilepsy and dystonia, and he has extensive experience in the use of botulinum toxin for the treatment of chronic migraine and dystonia. He also performs nerve blocks for the management of headache conditions.
Dr Mitchell believes strongly in a collaborative approach to care, working closely with patients to ensure shared decision-making and the best possible clinical outcomes.
He began his neurology specialist training in Wellington, New Zealand, in 2011 and went on to complete his training at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London, one of the UK’s leading centres for neurological care. Following completion of his training, he has held consultant neurologist posts across several regions in the UK, including West Sussex, Newcastle, Cardiff and Hereford.

All as previously stated and Mr Mitchell was talented in expressing medical terms so that the average person could understand.
A short but impressive consultation - a quick but impressive conclusion reached despite my somewhat garbled explanation of my problems. His diagnosis of my collapse in May as being related to a seizure rather than an implied stroke and that deferred planned surgery on my right replacement knee could, from his assessment, go ahead in the near future. I am extremely grateful to him for his time and I highly recommend him to any future patients.
