About Professor Faisal Ali
Professor Faisal Ali is a Consultant Dermatologist, Mohs Micrographic Surgeon and Laser Surgeon who works within private practice in Manchester and London. He specialises in treatment of skin cancer (including Mohs micrographic surgery), treatment of acne, treatment of rosacea (including laser treatments) and pigmentation disorders. He has a wealth of experience in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.
Professor Ali began his medical education at The University of Cambridge, graduating in pre-clinical medicine before graduating from the University of Oxford in clinical studies. Following this, he underwent specialist training in dermatology in Manchester. He then undertook a fellowship focusing on Mohs micrographic surgery and laser dermatology at Guy's and St Thomas's Hospital Trusts. He then undertook advanced fellowship training in Singapore focusing on skin pigmentation disorders.
Professor Ali was awarded a PhD from the University of Cambridge and more recently appointed honorary professor in UCLAN. His work has resulted in the publication of over 200 papers and articles, and over 80 lectures/presentations at conferences around the globe. His work has earned his several awards including the BMJ Dermatology of the Year in 2018.

I would definitely recommend Prof Ali. He is frirndly, approachable and explains everything in layman's language. I had a basel cell carcinoma, on my face, removed by him. It was quite deep but within a couple of months of the surgery it's hardly noticeable.
Probably the best health professional i have seen; hyper knowledgeable, kind and comforting and generally just a great experience.
Professor Ali gave me extremely detailed instructions before and after my MOHS surgery, so I felt informed and supported every step of the way. He is extremely friendly and transparent, and made sure that the procedure itself was as comfortable as it could be. When I had questions specific to my own circumstances after my procedure, Professor Ali made himself fully contactable, so these were all answered quickly and helpfully. I have just had my follow-up appointment two months later, and Professor Ali has given me additional advice so I can continue to get even better results out of my healing.
I am absolutely delighted with the outcome of my facial surgery to remove a BCC. From the initial consultation till the post-operative meeting with Professor Ali everything was handled in a very professional and sympathetic manner. All my questions were answered with patience and consideration. Arrangements on the day of surgery went without a hitch. All staff involved were courteous, helpful and professional. The outcome of my surgery exceeded my expectations and I could not be happier.
Professor Faisal Ali , was very professional explained everything very clearly , you are made to feel very comfortable , gave advise of which to follow . Answered all of the questions my husband had .
I had a mole check and felt reassured by the end of the consultation. Professor Ali looked at an all of my skin and then looked in more detail at a patch of skin that I was concerned about and reassured me. He told me what it was, that it was benign and was nothing to worry about.
