Mr Jack is empathic, excellent at finding ways to put patients at ease, and takes the time to explain things clearly, and allay fears about any necessary surgical procedures. He has the rare ability to make you feel that he really cares about you as a human being, and achieving the best outcome for every individual. A rare skill. In addition, he is a very skilled and experienced surgeon, having worked with one of the top Orthopaedic Surgeons in Australia, focusing on younger patients engaged in active, professional competitive sports. When I first had a consultation with him, I was extremely worried, due some rather "tricky" health issues. He was was completely unfazed by these problems, which have me confidence, and was a huge relief to me on a personal level. I can only say, if you need a total hip or knee replacement, consider yourself extremely fortunate if Mr Jack is your surgeon. Finally my "qualifications" for submitting such a glowing recommendation - over 30 years as a qualified State Registered Nurse/State Certified Midwife for the NHS (RAF trained). In June I was involved in a cycling accident resulting in serious injuries, one of which was a damaged shoulder and broken collar bone. I was treated initially by NHS but decided to seek a second opinion. I met with Mr Malik at Droitwich Spa Hospital a week after the accident. I liked his manner immediately, he was clear, concise and explained the course of treatment in depth so I knew what was involved. Mr Malik operated within a week, pulling the broken collar bone back together and inserting a 16cm plate. Before the operation he explained the procedure and reassured me all would be fine. It's now 6 months since my accident and I am back fighting fit. I've seen Mr Malik three times during this period and he's conscientious courteous but most of all he understood my needs. I cycle all around the world and despite my age (in my sixties) he quickly realised it was imperative I got back in the saddle which is exactly what he achieved. I would have no hesitation recommending Mr Malik, his skill and manner are exemplary.

On visiting consultant Subhajit Ghosh a prescription was given to the nurse to be ordered for my next appointment as it was something that was not kept in stock at OSD. I needed to check my diary to see if I could make this next appointment at OSD Healthcare in Hemel Hempstead to have the prescription or, see the consultant at Spire Hospital on another day. On checking my diary I found I could make it and I phoned and arranged an appointment with Subhajit Ghosh. Unfortunately, the prescription had not been ordered so when I turned up for my next appointment I was unable to have my treatment and I would have to see him again another time. I appreciate mix ups happen but thought OSD Healthcare should check their procedures in instances such as this, so that prescriptions are ordered once patients have confirmed they can make future appointments.

Matt Frost was terrific. I'm surprised he wasn't a senior ages ago! But congrats all the same! He's worth every bit of it. Interestingly my hearing had improved slightly from last year and I seriously wonder if this was because I had complete confidence in him. Others always good but Matt inspires confidence in a special way. He also explained the most recent Phonak model clearly so that despite my age and life expectancy, I'm going to give it a try despite the cost.
