Had a very warm welcoming at Abbington house, staff and peers were very nice. Room was nice, quite overwhelming to start with, with it being my first time at rehab. I then started to feel more comfortable with the help of the staff and my peers, putting me out of my comfort zone probably was the best thing they could of done otherwise I wouldn’t of been so open. Staff very accommodating, my therapist was very empathetic, I got on with her very well, opened up slowly but eventually we got there. I still feel I have stuff to work on, my co dependency and self love but I know that will come in time, from outside sources, just think they should not of mentioned that I would be getting DBT therapy whilst I was here as that was one of the selling points to me coming to Abbington house. The only other down side was prior to coming in I was told I would have at least one, one to one a week. But that did not happen for the the first 3 weeks, so felt a bit let down, so did my parents which they then raised there concerned to Mikey, who was quick to come up with 2 options to compensate this, which I thought was very good.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Honestly blown away by this service I’m nearly 80 now, and I can’t even count how many doctor visits I’ve had in my life, but MyDoctor by Northern Health honestly left me a bit blown away. I wasn’t expecting much — you get used to being rushed through at my age — but I came off the call feeling like someone had finally taken the time to actually explain my own health to me. It felt different from the moment it started. No rushing, no talking over me, no making me feel like I was being dramatic. Just calm, proper care. I felt listened to in a way I haven’t in years. I actually felt like… well, like a person again, not someone they’re trying to hurry out the door. For the first time I understand what’s been setting things off, and what I need to do next time before it all gets too much. That alone is worth gold to me. I’ve been muddling along for years without this clarity. I’m honestly amazed. At my age you don’t expect to be surprised by much anymore, but this really did it. I’ll absolutely be using MyDoctor again — I wish I’d found it sooner.

I can’t recommend Mr. Richard Scawn highly enough. Before meeting him, I had seen three other surgeons and even booked the operation twice but ended up cancelling because I didn’t feel fully confident. From my very first appointment with Richard, everything felt different. He was calm, kind, and incredibly reassuring — never pushy, never rushed — and both my husband and I instantly felt we were in safe hands. I trusted him completely, and I’m so glad I did. I’m now three weeks post–lower lid blepharoplasty and absolutely over the moon with the results. My bruising was minimal and disappeared quickly, and the scar line is genuinely impeccable. I’m 39, so my skin is still fairly young, but even with a magnifying mirror I cannot see the incision. The work Richard has done is truly amazing. If you’re considering this surgery, I would wholeheartedly recommend Mr. Richard Scawn. I couldn’t be happier with my experience or the outcome.

I was referred to James in July 2024 and currently still under his care as I have ongoing chemotherapy and immunotherapy for colorectal cancer with mets to my liver. James has been very honest and open with me from day one and not promised a "magic cure" to my disease but instead a realistic approach to extending my life as long as possible. He is open to any questions I have had and considered everything I suggest and always given his feedback and opinions in an honest way without me feeling uncomfortable for asking. I would strongly recommend James to anyone with my type of cancer he is a fantastic oncologist and I am more than happy with my treatment and the fact he has never given up on me is amazing. Ms Shikha did my surgery for full hysterectomy. It all went very well my recovery wasn’t that smooth after but soon after I got better with the help of shika and team constantly checking in on me and me being able to reach out. At a very stressful time. I haven’t really got words that praise shika enough. Her efforts for diognoses and the care since have been priceless. Already (and only a little after a week) I am seeing life changing results , having suffered 27 years day in day out. If I hadnt have gone that day for my consultation we would still be in the hellish life limbo dead end… thanks Shika my life ahead is looking brighter and the care and support from her is overwhelming. My teen daughter has been under the care of Dr Zakynthinaki for the last 3 months for autistic burnout alongside low mood and anxiety. Dr Zakynthinaki has been wonderful in so many ways - she's empathetic with my daughter and with me, she listens and she's been incredibly responsive to our questions. She explains things so well and in a lot of detail, which I really appreciate. It's so refreshing to come across a specialist who's willing to work with a patient so diligently and with so much care - who can offer not only the clinical experience, but is also very patient-focussed. I feel we are both seen and heard by her. If you are looking for support for your child / adolescent, particularly if they are neurodiverse, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr Zakynthinaki!

I found it easy to book an appointment to see Mr. Andrews and the consultation was thorough and my condition was explained to me in terms that I easily understood. Mr. Andrews arranged for me to have an MRI scan and the appointment came through within days. The MRI scan procedure was simple and again everything was explained to me. I am having a telephone conversation with Mr. Andrews this week to find out the results of my scan and discuss the way forward. Mr. Andrews replaced a hip joint for me thirteen years ago which was life changing for me , as I am a farmer. This enabled me to go about my farming activities free from pain and regaining my mobility. I can't speak highly enough of Mr. Andrews.

I had a very positive experience at my recent doctor’s appointment. The staff were attentive, friendly, and truly made me feel cared for. I was especially impressed that the doctors themselves came to the waiting area to welcome their patients (shake their hands 🤝) and personally guide them to the examination rooms — a small gesture that makes a big difference. I also appreciated that I was offered help without having to ask repeatedly, which has unfortunately been my experience at my local GP in the past. Dr Gamble has been a real life saver from the moment he installed my pacemaker 4 months ago. A recent bacterial chest infection has caused me a setback in my open heart surgery rehabilitation, however Dr Gamble has thoroughly checked my heart and pacemaker via ECG and Echo' data and I am re-assured that I am on the mend again. He has explained the issues around my medication and I have complete faith in his guidance and recommendations. He explains things in easy to understand terms and answers honestly all queries raised. I will be booking a follow-up consultation with Dr Gamble again in 6 months time.

Dr Sheeraz was able to assess and confirm the diagnosis of a recently detected issue with my vision. Elsewhere I was informed that the I would require dye in my eye which would impair driving etc for a few hours, however, this was not necessary due to leading technology at Dr Sheeraz’s practice. Dr Sheeraz talked me through the findings and was able to put me at immediate ease. Highly recommended!
