I recently visited Mr Arun at Shirley Oaks hospital due to occasional bleeding when I went to the loo. He reviewed my diet, general health and discussed details regarding any habits that I had regarding ‘toilet techniques’. My Arun then gave me some helpful tips on what I might need to address to rectify and bad habits that may have been causing the bleeeing. All discussions were very helpful and not at all intimidating. He almost instantly set my mind at ease. Whilst explaining that from our discussion , he was reasonably sure that he knew I had a case of aggravated haemorrhoids, he thought it would be prudent to book and carry out a colonoscopy. Again, whilst I was very nervous about this process, Mr Arun’s manner made me feel far more comfortable than I had expected and the process was not nearly as bad as I had expected! Mr Arun gave me a positive review within 30 minutes of the colonoscopy. I then saw and Arun 3 weeks later and he ran through the findings which were all positive and explained that the new behaviours that he had explained to me were working and that I should maintain them. The experience was excellent and Mr Arun was warm, friendly, informative and helpful.

The whole referral process was a bit of a mess with little communication, so what could have been a 4-8 week wait-time was actually turned into 3-4 months. I understand though that since my original referral skylight had an influence of applications, but mine got put aside without talking to me because of problems with my GP. When I originally contacted them after 8 weeks to get some information I was told not to contact again and then if anything was needed from me someone from skylight would reach out. So I wait, and heard nothing. When I finally contacted them again, close to the 4 months mark, I got told my referral still hadn't been processed because of a mistake from my GP and them not answering Skylight's emails/phone calls. I had to keep contacting both skylight and my GP to get this sorted until finally someone who could give me a bit more help and information helped get it sorted then and there. I cant fault skylight too much though, right after that everything went smoothly and they have been really informative on the rest of the steps. I just wish in future they contact the patient right away if it happens, rather than wait for the patient to contact them.

The ablation procedure I underwent under the care of Dr Segal has been transformative and has had an incredibly positive physical and psychological impact on my life. Prior to the procedure I was acutely aware that an episode of AF could occur at any time and this left me anxious and uncomfortable. Dr Segal supported me throughout the period in which I was having AF episodes, from diagnosing the condition, putting in place a management plan and outlining the options, to undertaking the procedure and administering the after care. He was professional, supportive and incredibly informative and He is an absolute expert in his field and I cannot recommend him highly enough!

I've been really impressed at every single visit that I've made to Pure Sports Medicine at St Paul's. The front desk staff are very friendly and efficient and Courtney, the physio that I've been seeing, has worked really hard to get me back to a pain-free full range of motion after an injury. I'm not quite there yet and there's been ups and downs en route but Courtney has constantly adapted and I have full confidence that we'll get there. I've seen physios before but Courtney and the experience at PSM St Paul's has been head and shoulders above any treatment that I've had previously.

By chance a vacancy arose at short notice in the hospital small ops treatment room which Dr Brent was quick to utilise to undertake one of the required procedures. He then proposed a detailed plan for further treatment explaining exactly why, when and how this could proceed.

Really happy with my treatment approach at Core LDN. The space is lovely and Laura is accommodating when I was running late once which really helped me out so thank you. There is parking nearby although extra restrictions mid morning so something to be aware of but it's great to have a free parking option nearby at all in London!
