Last year, I decided to see Mr Holland after experiencing several years of severe symptoms of what I thought the time was endometriosis or PCOS. I was quickly put ease when Mr. Holland was talking through various symptoms and next step plans, including a helpful referral for a urologist and scans. I didn’t feel pushed to go through a certain route and was carefully provided with all the risks that came with surgery - I was also listened to and that made me feel seen considering my symptoms. However, my surgery experience with Mr Holland and his team was absolutely exemplary from start to finish before my operation. I had various tests and one test came back. That wasn’t completely accurate so they encouraged me to come in and sort this out rather than leave it, on the day of surgery I always carefully walked through what was going to happen I had nurse advice and the care at the hospital that I received was 10 out of 10. Post surgery I wasn’t pushed out the door and was encouraged to begin my rehab firewalking and the nurse was close to be monitoring me. I wasn’t just left and following up I was I had regular checks and even post three months after surgery I had a consultation and was advised of appropriate next steps. I appreciate how scary this situation can be for young women, but I was always put it ease and no requests or question was too silly or small, now almost 8 months per surgery I feel like I totally new woman and that is all thanks to Mr Holland.

I attended my post‑operative review with Mr Hosam E. Matar following my recent surgery. The appointment was thorough, reassuring, and clearly focused on ensuring my recovery is progressing as expected. Mr Matar reviewed my symptoms, mobility, wound healing, and overall progress in detail. He explained each aspect of the recovery process in a clear and understandable way, taking the time to answer all questions without rushing. His manner was calm, professional, and supportive, which made it easy to discuss any concerns. He assessed the surgical site carefully and confirmed that healing is on track. He also outlined the next steps in my rehabilitation, including what activities I can safely resume, what to avoid, and what signs to monitor as I continue to recover. The guidance was practical and tailored to my situation. Overall, the review was extremely positive. I left the appointment feeling confident about my recovery plan and grateful for the high standard of care provided by Mr Matar and his team.

Matt took a full history of my issues, explained clearly the physical causes of my hearing difficulties along with a detailed description of how it might be addressed. His desire to listen, to understand the nature of my hearing loss and its profound effects upon my life, allied to his incredible enthusiasm, made me feel hope for the first time in a decade. I feel so lucky to have found him!

I am extremely happy that I chose Dr Derek Ho to perform my cataract surgery. He took his time to explain to me over the phone the different options and to make a recommendation when I asked him to. In the end I went with his suggestion of having a toric EMV lens in both eyes done at the same time. On the day of surgery he was very calm, polite and caring. His surgical skills are second to none. I felt reassured that I was in very experienced and capable hands. I could not believe that the treatment was completely pain free and smooth and easy. I could see very clearly after the operation straight away. Two days after the procedure I am totally amazed by how well I can see. I can now see better than I have ever been able to with glasses when I was younger. A truly transformative operation. I am so grateful to Dr Ho for what he has done for me. He is a great surgeon. I recently completed a course of CBT sessions with Dr Sharon Pettit, focusing on managing my anxiety, worry, and rumination. When I first began, I struggled significantly with social interactions, often feeling socially awkward and fixating on past conversations. My mind would race with worries about things entirely beyond my control, pushing my anxiety levels to an all-time high. It felt like I was in a constant state of fight or flight, from the moment I woke up until I went to bed, leaving me completely drained. Now, almost six months later, I've gained valuable tools to help manage my thoughts and emotions. While I wouldn’t say I’m completely cured, I feel about 75% better and am now enjoying a much happier life. I've decided to take a break from CBT for the time being, but I'm committed to returning if I notice my anxiety levels rising again.

When undertaking base line assessment prior to the procedure, this was conducted in the reception area. During this taking place, 3 other people arrived and seated themselves in the reception area. We were unclear if they were members of the public, staff or other appointments. They were not introduced to us as observers for my treatment. The introduction didn't occur until Prof Zveorov arrived, then introductions were made and my family was made aware they were from other institutions to learn and observe. The support and treatment were excellent.

Dr Tang was simply wonderful. He was very kind, gentle and understanding of my worries and health problem. He explained the procedures well and reassured me. After the endoscopies he reported back and explained clearly what he had found. All the staff at Hadley Wood were also extremely friendly, competent and reassuring, particularly Nurse Grace. Dr Tangs secretary was extremely efficient and friendly. She was quick to respond to my messages and ensured my consultations and treatment happened smoothly and speedily.

From start to finish my experience has been excellent, from admin to reception to consultations to the hospital team. Mr Coleridge has been clear & concise, answering my questions, fully explaining my options/ the prognosis etc. The option to wait probably the best part of a year for NHS treatment was not an option for my injury, and having had Mr Coleridge recommended by both my GP and physio I’d extremely glad I dealt with him, and he got me back on my feet…..literally!

All staff, including the receptionist, were very nice and helpful. The hospital waiting areas and the consulting room were very clean and well maintained. There were unlimited free hot drinks and water available for waiting patients. Whilst the hospital does not have a car park, there was plenty of on-street parking available (charges varying up to £6.50 for 4 hours - enforced until 8pm), even on a busy Friday traffic wise after 4pm, when I arrived.

ICU I was treated like an animal left under the cold AC in a cramped room, the ICU nurse was on her phone taking ages to come to help when you press the call bell. The nurse team is the worst I’ve experienced in my life I genuinely thought I was going to die in this hospital they don’t respect you ethically unsafe and keep you in prolonged pain for days
