I booked a consultation for my daughter, Olivia P,with Mr Robert Sutcliffe on Monday 24th November 2025 at 2.00pm. With Olivia’s full consent, I handled all communication on her behalf due to her work commitments. Before the appointment, Mr Sutcliffe’s secretary contacted me to ask whether the consultation could be moved to the following week. I explained that we were due to travel abroad for three weeks to celebrate my husband’s milestone birthday. She advised she would discuss this with Mr Sutcliffe. She later called back to confirm that, in light of our circumstances, Mr Sutcliffe was happy to keep the original appointment — which he honoured. I accompanied Olivia to her consultation. Mr Sutcliffe was exceptionally thorough. He examined her carefully, explained his diagnosis with clarity and compassion, and put both of us completely at ease as he outlined the next steps. He requested a further liver function blood test, which Olivia had done at Nuffield Health Wolverhampton. I asked Nuffield Health to send the results to both Mr Sutcliffe and Olivia’s GP, which was done. Mr Sutcliffe’s secretary informed me as soon as the results were received and assured me they would be reviewed promptly. True to her word, Mr Sutcliffe reviewed the results quickly. His secretary then advised that he had no concerns and that our planned follow-up in the New Year could go ahead as arranged. I would also like to note that, as we were leaving Harborne Hospital, we happened to see Mr Sutcliffe leaving at the same time. It was clear he had come in specifically to see Olivia that day, knowing we were travelling abroad — something he was under no obligation to do. As a family, we found this gesture incredibly thoughtful and deeply appreciated it. Throughout the entire process, Mr Sutcliffe could not have been more helpful, supportive or empathetic. I am truly grateful that we can now go away on our family celebration holiday with complete peace of mind, knowing my daughter is under the care of such a capable, caring and dedicated professional. Professor Omar Faiz

Professor Faiz has been exceptional throughout our daughter's care. We met him in January 2024 to explore the possibility for her stoma to be reversed (she had emergency surgery to remove her colon at another hospital the previous year aged just 20). Professor Faiz is clearly preeminent in his field, he is also patient, kind and has the most wonderful bedside manner. He is a true professional and wanted to take time to ensure our daughter had the best possible chance for success. She underwent numerous tests to assess if she was a viable candidate for either J-Pouch or IRA surgery. In August 2024 Professor Faiz performed an IRA and it couldn't have gone better, internally it's perfect and externally neat as a pin. Though her colitis is still lingering (we knew this was a risk and one she felt worth taking) Professor Faiz is still very much involved in her care, together with a gastroenterologist colleague. We truly believe the direction of her life (and ours) was positively impacted when Professor Faiz was recommended to us and we are very grateful to him, and his team for looking after us so well.

Mr Ravi Pagoti

Mr.Pagoti replaced two hips for me, in less than 7 months. I had been in a lot of pain for quite awhile, the waiting list in the south ( I'm from Tipperary)is just too long,so my doctor recommended Belfast. and from the first phone call I never looked back, on meeting Mr.Pagoti,,I was struck by his kindness ,and caring attitude.He explained everything to me in a simple way,he came to see me before surgery, and afterwards and also the following day,so a huge thank you to him and all his staff. Everyone who came into my room to look after me were just exceptional .I was so well looked after,it felt more like a hotel than a hospital, as for the food it was unbelievably good,so thank you to the kitchen staff. I would like to say to those people who are still on a waiting list and in pain, just pick up the phone and ring Kingsbridge..I'm seven weeks post op and for the first time in a long time I feel like mu own self, like I have my life back again so once again Mr.Pagoti and team thank you...

We took our baby to Dr Sood because he'd had diarrhea for 3 weeks and was chronically very spewy. Dr Sood diagnosed gastroenteritis, which is fine, but he also told us we shouldn't feed our (exclusively breastfed and four months old) baby more than every 3-4 hours, and that when he cried for milk sooner than that we should "put cotton wool in [our] ears". We've since been told by NHS doctors and health visitors that this is very old-fashioned advice that could cause dehydration in a diarrhetic baby. He also said to give 6 feeds a day, but we realised when we got home that it's not possible to follow both pieces of advice without waking him up in the night for extra night feeds! (We did tell Dr Sood that our baby sleeps 11 hours at night with just one night feed, but he didn't seem to believe us?)

I went to see Mr Otify after seeing another consultant, which had dismissed my symptoms as womb pain. I had been in pain for over 12 months, it was making life very hard and sometimes the pain was unbearable. Mr Otify did not dismiss my symptoms or my thoughts. He is very easy to talk to and listens. We quickly came up with a plan . I had surgery 5 weeks ago, total hysterectomy and removed endometriosis, although I am still recovering from surgery, the pain I was experiencing has now gone. I had my follow up appointment the other day, he explained everything he did during surgery and his findings. I would most certainly recommend going to see mr Otify , it was the best decision I made and I can not fault him as a person or as a surgeon.

Dr Shalini is an excellent doctor. She accompanied us through this process in a very humane and professional way, with deep knowledge of a pregnancy that had particularities, such as a unicornuate uterus, which she explained to us clearly and managed with a very high level of professionalism, as well as other medical conditions such as gestational diabetes and having only one kidney. Thanks to her expertise and her warm, approachable manner, we felt very calm and reassured throughout the whole process. I would also like to highlight her medical knowledge and support during the prenatal stage, the caesarean and the postnatal period. We wholeheartedly recommend Dr Shalini to all future parents going through this pregnancy journey.

I had an excellent experience at Nuffield Hospital Guildford. The hospital was very easy to find, and the reception team were welcoming and efficient. Check-in was quick, and within a few minutes I was seen by the doctor, which was impressive. The facilities were modern and spotless, with a comfortable waiting area and both hot and cold drinks available. The building itself feels contemporary and well maintained, creating a calm and professional environment. The staff were courteous, organised, and clearly experienced, which gave me confidence throughout my visit. Overall, a very smooth and professional experience from start to finish. Dr Ahmad and his team are professional, courteous and very well connected with colleagues in the Diabetes and Nephrology departments at Leicester General Hospital. With Dr Ahmad's supervision and dedication i am now living with my Diabetes within 'normal' parameters which is a huge bonus. I am very grateful for the first class care shown to me so far by Dr. Ahmad.

It’s always good to talk to Professor Field. He explained the process of fitting my hip replacement clearly and I saw an X-ray of my hip with the implant in place. He explained that new bone would grow round the ball. I have had no problems at all with my new hip replacement. Professor Field was happy with my movement in the joint and my walking. I am happy too. He is always happy to answer questions and it’s a pleasure to see him. I am going for a final check in 6 months. Already my hip feels very good and I am walking well. This is marvellous after a year of pain, frustration and depression.

Would be nice if staff shared communication as I have frozen shoulder and I only had chance to tell the lovely Laura staff nurse who reasured me. Dr Ahmed introduced himself and Ruby too...I had to ask what they found and was given printed details at the end. Overall positive. Thank you!

Would highly recommend Mr Sahu. He was thorough and took the time to explain my situation to me. It was reassuring to know that the treatment I had already been receiving for my AMD was appropriate but he also highlighted the need for cataract surgery in both eyes. My initial visit was for trigger thumb release surgery. The waiting time following arrival was minimal. The bedroom was comfortable and clean. The surgery itself was amazing despite being anxious - the team were very friendly and focused on making you relax. The aftercare visit was in line with this.
