I visited Chapter One with my 4 year old child, we both had an appointment with Ashley. The practice is immaculate, beautifully designed and feels more like a luxury spa than a dental practice. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, we were made to feel welcome and relaxed. Ashley was charming, instantly putting us at ease, involving my daughter with everything she was doing and making it a fun experience. With regards to my appointment, Ashley was very informative, ensuring I had time to ask questions and I left assured I was in highly capable hands. All the equipment was state of the art and I now have ultimate confidence in my dental routine. Easily the most professional and positive dental visit I have had, I would thoroughly recommend Chapter One and will be signing up to one of their care plans for my family.

Dr Thomas has been consistently looking after my blood work, my results, and my menopause and HRT management. I feel she has an excellent understanding of my personal health situation, and she always goes out of her way to find solutions. Her approach is holistic, up to date, and rooted in the latest research — she’s very aware of new medications, evolving HRT options, and the best ways to benefit from them. Her general health advice has been incredibly helpful too. I feel genuinely listened to and supported. She never rushes me, and she takes the time to hear every concern I bring into the room. For the first time, I feel that a doctor is truly on the same page as me, and that is incredibly valuable.

From first meeting with Mr Haslam he spoke so much in lay men’s vocabulary which gave me confidence in the procedure I was to have. Operation was just as had been discussed at the first meeting in July. I was told that a full knee replacement would be painful, which was true and even after eight weeks can still feel sore. Physiotherapists have been. So very helpful in my recovery. I was able to update Mr Haslam , how I was doing and thankfully he was delighted with my progress. I do realise that progress is ongoing for a while but I have been given confidence and assurance by Mr Haslam that all is going well.

The hospital itself was great and senior nursing staff on the day were informative and professional. My anaesthetist was phenomenal as was my amazing surgeon. However I had a bad experience with one of the health care assistants who wouldn’t let me use the bathroom and led to a bit of a weird experience. Plus when I got my stitches out two weeks later the nurse couldn’t see the stitches and she gave the tweezer to my fiancé who actually ended up getting the final ones out.

Louise was very patient while I tried to figure out when/how I could fit regular online and in person sessions into my hectic life as a busy mum. Now we’re having regular conversations and I’m finding them hugely beneficial. She is very positive and supportive, encouraging and authoritative, and helps me work towards practical, actionable solutions. More than this she seems to genuinely care, which feels like a really comforting space to open up.

Very clean building with plenty of parking. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. Doctor and nurse were extremely kind, patient and helpful. I'm a really nervous patient and I'm sure I was a pain but they never let on. Explained everything at the end. Sent me lots of information in great detail. Communication is very organised and timely. Doctor followed up over the phone and sends me results really quickly over email.

His knowledge and experience made me realise I had definitely found the right man for the job - if anything he is way over qualified for this procedure, however, I love that he mainly works with minutiae detail so my procedure should be no problem for him.

After having my stitches removed I was advised how to look after the healing wound. I only took one pain killer on the evening after surgery after which I needed no further pain relief. The wound is already hardly noticeable and I am very happy with the treatment and the outcome.
