I made an appointment with Mr Navaratne at his Lindo Wing clinic in St Mary's hospital Paddington. I was looking for  a medical 'answer' to the pain I was in. I underwent a scan in an NHS hospital and was told that a hernia was ruled out which I accepted, but was very confused. Mr Navaratne diagnosed my Umbilical hernia and Diastasis recti. I cannot speak highly enough of the care I received from this appointment all the way through treatment and my Lindo wing stay. I underwent a laparoscopic repair of the umbilical hernia with correction of my diastasis recti. I was in  exceptionally skilled and compassionate professional. I was extremely anxious in my first consultation and also going into surgery, but my surgeon addressed this with remarkable patience, reassurance, and empathy. He took an interest in why I was feeling nervous and took the time to explain every detail thoroughly, answered all my questions with clarity and confidence, and made sure I felt genuinely heard and supported. His calm, reassuring presence made a massive  difference and immediately put me at ease. From a medical standpoint, his expertise is outstanding. The procedure was performed with the highest level of precision and care, demonstrating deep knowledge, advanced technical skill, and meticulous attention to detail. My recovery has been highly supported by Mr Navaratne and his team. He is truly amazing BUT  for me what sets him is the combination of exceptional surgical ability and genuine human kindness. It is rare to find a surgeon who is not only technically brilliant but also so attentive, respectful, and compassionate toward their patients. I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone considering abdominal surgery. If you are looking for a surgeon who is highly skilled, deeply knowledgeable, and truly cares about your wellbeing, you could not be in better hands.

It would be helpful to add the following to your briefing: after surgery - we will offer to help you to a taxi or to the taxi rank, if you do not have a person to accompany you Worth considering clear plastic, wrap around glasses for walking/cycling in windy areas/or where likely to be grit in the air Clear some space in your fridge for the eye drops which will need to be refrigerated If you are travelling invest in a portable coolbag, with icepack to keep eye drops at the required temperature no eye make up on the day or for a month post op / swimming hair washing will be tricky for a few days, so consider dry shampoo explain to people what is normal in terms of recovery day by day over the subsequent days post surgery explain to people what to do, if despite taking the drops, there is a feeling of grit in eyes explain to people - if it is normal or not to see halos or to see with a soft focus - perhaps have images, which are shown ahead of time provide youtube video with how to insert drops - have practise drop session on a pre visit, with non irritant drops, to enable the technique to be mastered The person who provided the medicines did not go through the 'knuckle technique' which is on the document provided, trying to master this when your eye sight is recovering is not straightforward Suggest that patients have ibrufen 200 and or paracetemol at the ready suggest setting alarm on phone at regular intervals for drop taking suggest that surgeon creates faqs to answer frequent questions on the various options of lens, implications

I'm still working with Karima, but I felt I wanted to share how much has shifted already. I came to therapy struggling with anger issues and relational trauma that was affecting every relationship in my life, particularly with my family. Karima has been brilliant at helping me understand where the anger comes from and, more importantly, how to work with it rather than being controlled by it. She's patient, non-judgemental, and has this way of helping you see patterns without making you feel criticised. The real measure of progress for me is this: I'm actually looking forward to spending Christmas with my family this year. In previous years, I'd dread it - the tension, the miscommunication, feeling misunderstood or easily triggered. Zachary the audiologist was new to me, but every bit as likeable, knowledgable and engaged as every other audiologist I've had the pleasure to consult with at Harley St Hearing. He really listened to, and answered clearly and thoroughly to every question. He found a less mainstream solution ("Frequency Lowering or compression "), to a nuanced hearing issue I have, which he suggested we tried, and delighted to say it worked extremely well in my case. I can't recommend this practice enough!

This is a truly excellent service. I had been to another ear wax removal specialist a few days earlier who had failed to unblock my ears after half an hour of trying. I have a particular shape of ear canal that causes the wax to sit stubbornly on the ear drum. Rekesh is very personable and knowledgable and has a lovely comfortable treatment room. Within a few minutes he had completely unblocked both my ears, almost effortlessly. I was delighted and I highly recommend this service.

Prof Quraishi is a fantastic doctor and technically gifted surgeon . I had a sacro-iliac joint injury many years ago which was fixed in Bristol . Suffered with pain for over 10 years and saw a vast number of specialists . It was only when I saw Prof Quraishi that I knew he could fix me . He did - placed bolts across my SIJ bypassing the previous metalwork. I have had an excellent outcome and he has changed my life !
