Dr Rajaratnam Rameshshanker is an experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist and specialist Endoscopist based in West London. He currently sees private patients at The Clementine Churchill Hospital and The London Clinic.

Dr Rameshshanker completed his medical degree at the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka in 2005. He later completed his specialist gastroenterology and general internal medicine training in North West London and received his Doctorate in Medicine from Imperial College London in 2020. Dr Rameshshanker also underwent advanced training at the Wolfson Academic Medical Institute, St Mark's Hospital, focusing on endoscopy techniques like enteroscopy, capsule endoscopy, and advanced colonoscopy, as well as a fellowship in ERCP at Hammersmith Hospital.

Since 2018, he has served as a full-time NHS Consultant at Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in London. Here, he leads the advanced endoscopy services, handling procedures such as advanced colonoscopy resections and ERCP. Dr Rameshshanker has extensive experience in managing gastrointestinal, hepatology, and pancreatobiliary conditions, providing outpatient and inpatient care at his NHS Trust.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Rameshshanker has published numerous articles on interventional endoscopy and quality assurance in reputable international journals. He is dedicated to promoting endoscopy research and training, and has delivered lectures at national and international conferences. He also holds professional memberships with the British Society of Gastroenterology, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
