I cannot recommend Miriam enough. After having some rough experiences with previous physiotherapy that felt far too harsh and left me in more pain, I was hesitant about continuing treatment. Miriam changed that entirely. She is incredibly professional, patient, and most important she truly listens. Unlike others who have treated me, Miriam understood my body’s needs immediately and adopted a gentle, soft-touch approach that was exactly what I needed. She was able to quickly identify that I was having issues with my diaphragm and performed a fascial release that provided immediate relief. For the first time in weeks, I finally feel like I am on the mend. Miriam’s ability to combine deep clinical knowledge with a truly patient-centered, gentle technique is rare. I have had several appointments with Miriam and she is amazing. Miriam instantly made me feel at ease and provided me with a safe space to tell her my physical and mental issues since having my son 2 years ago. After having my son I had a lot of issues with my pelvis which had impacted my walking and constant back pain as well as this I had a prolapse. I had been to a private gynaecologist and I didn’t feel I understood my prolapse any better, if anything I came away even more concerned about it. Miriam assesses my prolapse at every appointment and explains everything in plain English. She talks to me about my concerns and helps me understand what is going on with my body. At each appointment she adjusts my exercises so I am constantly improving. I did the exercises most days as I knew I wouldn't see any improvement without taking her guidance seriously. The exercises have improved my back pain to the point where I rarely get any niggles now. My prolapse has improved from a stage 2 down to a stage 1 which I never believed would happen. I was just hoping to maintain my condition. I am so much more confident and I have gone from being scared to pick up my son to now planning workouts in the gym. Before booking my first appointment I spoke with Miriam on the phone. In that initial conversation I felt, for the first time, that someone had really listened to me. She asked thoughtful questions about my symptoms that no one else had asked before, and by the end of the call I felt understood and hopeful that there might finally be a way forward with the chronic pain I’ve experienced since a hysterectomy 12 months ago. At the appointment, Miriam explained clearly what she was doing during the examination and what it showed. What could have been an awkward and painful situation was handled with great professionalism and sensitivity, which immediately put me at ease. Afterwards she sent clear instructions for the exercises I need to do, along with helpful videos so I can check my technique and refer back to them. I left feeling reassured, supported, and much more hopeful about improving things and therefore have booked another appointment.
