Mr N Selva Theivacumar

Mr. Selva Theivacumar is a highly experienced Consultant Vascular Surgeon renowned for his expertise in minimally invasive vascular procedures. He qualified in 1999 from the University of Colombo in Sri Lanka and went on to complete a research degree focusing on the minimally invasive treatment of varicose veins, earning his MD from the University of Leeds.

Mr. Theivacumar received extensive vascular training across renowned institutions in Yorkshire and London, including King’s College Hospital and St Thomas’ Hospital. He is proficient in both open surgical and endovascular techniques, offering a comprehensive skill set for the management of complex vascular conditions.

His specialist interests include the treatment of varicose veins, aortic aneurysms, peripheral arterial disease (claudication), and stroke prevention through surgical management of TIAs. A recognised leader in the field, Mr. Theivacumar has published multiple peer-reviewed scientific papers and has contributed significantly to the development of modern varicose vein treatments.

He provides a full range of minimally invasive vein procedures, such as Endovenous Thermal Ablation (laser or radiofrequency), and Ultrasound-Guided Foam Sclerotherapy. In arterial disease, he specialises in advanced interventions like angioplasty and stenting, endovascular aneurysm repair, femoral endarterectomy, and lower limb bypass surgery.
