I would like to begin by acknowledging the excellent care I received from the doctors during my first visit. Both clinicians went above and beyond, and I felt genuinely supported by them. Unfortunately, this high standard was not reflected in my interactions with the reception and administrative staff. After my consultation, the doctor provided me with a ticket for my next appointment and advised that, in the meantime, I should attend the imaging department for an ultrasound. When I arrived at imaging, the staff were dismissive and informed me that, because I was an NHS patient, they would need to write to my GP for a separate referral. I explained that the doctor had instructed me to have the ultrasound the same day. The staff member responded that if I waited in reception, she would speak to the doctor, adding that “quite often they don’t know how things are done.” I waited for an hour with no update. When I approached the desk to ask for news, the staff member replied, “I’m sorry, I forgot all about you,” and said she would speak to the doctor immediately. After she finally did so, the situation changed dramatically: I was suddenly offered an ultrasound appointment for 11:30 a.m. that same day — just an hour and a half later. It was clear that once the doctor became aware of the issue, the department acted quickly and efficiently, which I appreciated, especially as I live only ten minutes away. The ultrasound itself was carried out professionally, and the doctor performing it was excellent. He explained everything clearly and asked when my next appointment was. When I told him it was scheduled for six weeks later, he advised me to return to the main reception and request an earlier appointment, as his report would be completed that same day. However, when I approached reception, I was dismissed outright and told, “Doctors make appointments six weeks in advance — it is what it is.” Additionally, there was no record of my attendance on their system, only an appointment dated 23 March 2026, which, by their own admission, belonged to a different patient entirely. On reflection, while staff may appear polite on the surface, the reality of my experience was the opposite. The inconsistency, dismissiveness, and lack of coordination created unnecessary stress and undermined the otherwise excellent clinical care I received.

Mr Ramy Bassily

In January I had cataract surgery on both eyes, and opted for the Rayner Galaxy toric lenses as I needed to have my astigmatism corrected, and as an artist needed to have good near as well as distance vision as I make very detailed work. Mr. Bassily is a lovely, highly personable, smiley surgeon who will put you completely at ease. In my case this was particularly important, as the prospect of any kind of eye surgery had previously terrified me. He explained everything clearly and thoroughly, discussed all the options available and recommended which options would best suit my particular circumstances. The surgery went smoothly. I especially enjoyed the lively background music in the theatre! Mr. Bassily talked through everything as it was happening and put me completely at ease. I am delighted with my new lenses, and although they are still settling in, I have better than 20/20 vision in both eyes, and the astigmatism has been completely corrected. Colour is exactly as I would have hoped (I was afraid there might be a colour tint), the only change being I have an additional colour which I had not seen before (a violet tinge in glasses of water, in some lights) which is quite thriling! If you need cataract (or any other) eye surgery, I thoroughly recommend Mr. Bassily as a friendly and highly professional surgeon.

If you are a woman facing decisions about ovarian surgery and feeling unsure what to do, this review is for you. Before meeting Dr Abedin, I had already been advised elsewhere that I might need removal of the ovary and fallopian tube, possibly through a vertical open incision. It was an overwhelming prospect. Dr Abedin approached my case differently. She listened carefully, assessed everything thoroughly, and explained that preservation might still be possible. She did not minimise the complexity, the cyst was very large (20-25 cm), but she balanced realism with sound surgical judgement. The operation was completed laparoscopically and my ovary was preserved. I am deeply grateful, and my recovery has been smooth. The outcome reflects not only technical skill, but experience, restraint, and the confidence to choose the most appropriate approach rather than the most radical one. I am writing this not only in gratitude, but as reassurance to other women: seek a surgeon who listens, thinks independently, and prioritises preserving healthy tissue whenever it is safely possible. In my case, that made all the difference.

Niall came in every single day whilst I was in hospital to check on me, even on Sunday, which meant so much and was incredibly reassuring. He always took the time to explain things clearly, answer questions, and make sure I was comfortable and confident in my recovery. I felt truly looked after at every stage, and the standard of care was exceptional. I would highly recommend Mr. Sullivan to anyone considering hip replacement surgery. An outstanding consultant and a credit to his profession.

Dr Bakshi is a gentle, kind, and excellent doctor. He took the time to truly listen to me and explained clearly why I am experiencing these reactions, as well as what the most appropriate course of treatment would be. I felt heard, reassured, and deeply validated. It is difficult to articulate what it feels like to live with unusual symptoms for years, to search for answers, to be doubted or dismissed, and then finally be met with understanding. Dr Bakshi treated me as a whole person, not as a problem or an anomaly, and that in itself was profoundly healing. I would unhesitatingly recommend Dr Bakshi to anyone seeking an expert immunologist with both exceptional clinical knowledge and a genuinely caring heart.

Overall, I had a good experience at the Fitzrovia Suite. The midwives were supportive, kind, and readily available, providing good care following my c section. I was particularly grateful for the overnight support. The team helped look after my baby, ensuring I was able to get much-needed sleep and rest, which was invaluable for my recovery. However, The handover process between midwives during shift changes could be better managed, as there were some gaps in communication between team members. Additionally, the catering was fairly average and quite rigid in terms of meal timings and available options, which could be more flexible.

I went as an NHS referral for cataracts and they explained about the various options for both NHS and private. As I work full time and do a lot of computer work I decided to pay to have Rayone Galaxy toric lenses. I am so pleased with the result. After wearing glasses since early teens I am now glasses free! Mr Injarie and all the staff at the clinic were friendly and professional and made you feel at ease. Mr Injarie took time to explain everything and obviously is a brilliant surgeon. I can't thank them enough. I was so nervous about having eye surgery but from start to finish I felt in very safe hands. I would highly recommend.

I went to the clinic for egg freezing procedure. From the beginning everyone in the clinic was kind and responsive. My medical coordinator Karin, she was amazing, always very kind, and responsive. If you don’t speak Spanish, you don’t need to worry Karin speaks English perfectly as well as Dr Voskuilen. Dr Voskuilen is an amazing professional, she is kind and she made sure to explain everything very well to me. Dr Voskuilen made sure the dose of hormones was best suitable for me and I had regular scans to check the progress of the eggs. The procedure went really well without any complications. I am glad I chose Reproclinic.

My toddler had an appointment with Dr Maitra, which formed a series of previous visits. Each time we met with Dr Maitra, he was approachable and kind, which my toddler instantly warmed to. The advice and procedures given were appropriate and clear. His approach is a cautious diagnosis which put me at ease that the most minimally invasive treatment was his focus. I would highly recommend Dr Maitra for paediatric respiratory conditions as my experience has been professional, knowledgeable and his expertise has given me answers where I was previously ignored by other doctors.

An enriching experience throughout - the kindness and professionalism of the staff gave me great confidence. The provision at the hospital is first class in every respect. Mr Yazbek my consultant is a highly experienced and skilled specialist but more importantly a warm and reassuring practitioner who has made me feel I could not be in better hands. The nurse for my day care stay was also extremely kind, responsive and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this facility and staff unreservedly.

Everything was first class from reception to the nurse checks to the kind person who took me to surgery, the surgeon was nice to talk to, the team in the surgery room were efficient and kind. Back on ward the nurses were so lovely. I had a wobble (previous trauma) which unexpectedly made me emotional. They were so kind, non judgmental and all in particular Anna took time to be human - show human support from one female to another. It was appreciated.

Came for a pre op, lovely staff and lovely pre op Nurse, however I was sent for bloods, I wasn’t asked if a trainee could take them, she tried twice which was painful, before the nurse then took them on the third go in my other arm. Totally understand the need for training however, I had made it known that I hated needles and was not a good person to practice on, I unfortunately got up feeling very dizzy and sick, which for me was unnecessary.

Surgery and issue behind it were clearly explained and questions answered. The procedure on the day was well managed, with each stage pre op made clear and expected outcomes. Follow on consultation on outcome had sufficient detail and also clearly explained. Professor Dhanjal's expertise is obvious, but he has a very calm and clear manner which give confidence as well as clarity to what is involved.

I strongly recommend Dr Mehra who performed my hysteroscopy, polypectomy and laparoscopy. As a consultant, she was very diligent and went past the initial diagnosis to ensure I received the best treatment.
