About Dr. Bradley Powell

Dr Bradley Powell is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Director of Regal Private Therapy Practice, based in the Harley Street medical district. He offers in-person and online appointments for adults, adolescents and children, delivering evidence-based psychological care within a discreet, outcome-focused private setting.

He supports individuals with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, stress-related difficulties and significant life transitions. His approach is collaborative, structured and personalised, combining clinical rigour with careful attention to each person’s lived experience. Treatment plans are NICE-aligned and grounded in measurable progress, without losing the nuance that meaningful psychological work requires.

Dr Powell has particular expertise in the assessment and treatment of neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism and ADHD. His diagnostic pathways are structured, comprehensive and neuro-affirmative, integrating developmental history, standardised assessment tools and cognitive profiling where appropriate. He works with both young people and adults, including high-achieving professionals navigating demanding careers.

His therapeutic training includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), trauma-focused approaches and mindfulness-based interventions. While CBT often provides the framework, he adapts his methods to the individual, integrating approaches in a way that is clinically coherent and tailored.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Powell is a published researcher with peer-reviewed articles and national conference presentations. He is a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society, an HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist, and an accredited CBT therapist with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).

He welcomes both self-funding and privately insured patients to Regal Private Therapy Practice.

I have been working with Bradley for several months now which has been greatly beneficial. Our recent EMDR session was surprisingly impactful. I say surprisingly because I approached the idea of EMDR with a touch of scepticism. It’s not something I was familiar with and it sounded far fetched. I still have limited understanding of how it works but from my experience I can objectively say that it has been immediately effective in removing the emotional weight of past experiences. The memories no longer have emotional relevance to me in the present and do not affect my emotional state. I feel truly grateful and blessed because an emotional burden has been lifted in a way that feels like magic.

Working with Dr Bradley Powell has been an excellent experience. I highly recommend his services for anyone looking to improve their mental wellbeing or general psychological functioning. What I have been most impressed by is the breadth of Dr Powell’s knowledge. He has been incredibly useful at helping me navigate some of the difficulties that come with balancing the pursuit of high-performance goals with having ADHD, has assisted me in developing a better framework for dealing with frustration (ensuring both kindness and the maintenance of high standards), as well as providing many thoughtful suggestions on how my faith can be integrated into my personal wellbeing practises. Overall, I have found working with Dr Powell for even just 6 months to be immensely beneficial.

Dr Powell is calm, attentive, knowledgeable and highly professional. The sessions feel 'safe' and whilst challenging, are always within a supportive environment.

Not having had therapy before, Dr Powell was welcoming and made me feel at ease from the outset. He always had a non-judgemental manner and gave great insight and perspective, and new ways of looking at things that had been bothering me for years. I found him very easy to talk to and easily gained my trust allowing me to open up even more. I feel much improved to face things after seeing him for which I am ever grateful.

Incredibly calm and collected. Excellent ability to recall and connect dots within and across sessions. Rather than enjoying the generation non-actionable or falsifiable insights, Brad is focused on helping you, in that moment, understand and interrupt your patterns

I had a very positive experience with my ADHD assessment. Bradley was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and professional throughout the entire process. He explained everything clearly, made me feel at ease, and ensured the assessment was thorough, precise, and well organised. I felt listened to and supported at every stage, and the process was handled with great care and attention to detail. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking an ADHD assessment or psychological support.

My CBT sessions with Dr Bradley to date, have been extremely helpful, insightful and productive. Whilst recovering from a major burnout, Dr Bradley was kind and approachable in his manner, listened intently and has helped me address negative thinking patterns, useful tools and exercises to quite a busy mind, unblock and address major stresses in recent years not only stemming from my career but my personal life, challenges I hadn’t quite worked through, and throughout he has encouraged my development in reaching personal and professional goals (still on my journey) but therapy and support from Dr Bradley has been hugely important in my progress. Thank you.
