Zoe Laxton is a Psychotherapist at The Chelsea Psychology Clinic, offering both in-person and online therapy for adults. She supports clients experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and attachment-related issues.
Her integrative and compassionate approach allows her to tailor therapy to each individual, drawing on a range of evidence-based models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic psychotherapy, attachment-based therapy, and existential approaches. This enables her to combine practical skills based strategies such as identifying and reshaping unhelpful thought patterns, improving emotional regulation, and building coping techniques with deeper exploratory work around underlying emotional and relational patterns.
Her therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and non-judgemental, offering a safe and supportive space for reflection, clarity, and personal growth.
Zoe is currently completing a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy. She sees self-funding clients at The Chelsea Psychology Clinic on Thursdays.

I was referred to the DBT group by Dr Dan Masud, and I ended up travelling 4 hours just to be there! And I would still say it was worth it. That experience, and especially working with Zoe, meant a lot to me. Dr Masud was part of Schoen Clinic Chelsea, and Zoe Laxton’s profile there described her as a warm, collaborative and non-judgemental psychotherapist using DBT as part of her integrative approach. What I will always remember most is how understood I felt by Zoe. She really got me on a deep level. In DBT language, I felt validated! And that is something that stayed with me because it felt genuine, consistent and real. She helps people understand themselves more deeply, and that honestly reflects exactly what I experienced. She knows the DBT skills like the back of her hand, but more than that, she knew how to make them land in a way that actually mattered in real life. She was insightful, thoughtful, warm and incredibly grounded, and I came away from that work with a much better understanding of myself and the tools to keep going. I will truly miss my time working with her. It took me a long time to find someone who really understood me, and I feel very lucky that I did. I’ll be following her career through DBT-UK and genuinely wish her all the best while she continues her Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy and works on her thesis. THANK YOU!!!
Zoe has helped me so much and taught me lots of amazing skills that I can actually put into practice. Her approach and explanations have really brought to life DBT and the examples and coaching she has provided has just really resonated with me. She is personable, welcoming and puts you at ease immediately.
Zoe has genuinely changed my life. She is a very kind, honest, and firm DBT therapist who doesn’t let you avoid the truth or lie to yourself. While always compassionate, she holds you accountable in a way that feels supportive rather than judgmental. Her approach has helped me build real, lasting skills and a much stronger sense of stability. Zoe is an amazing therapist.
