Mr Khan is a fantastic surgeon. He explained everything clearly and drew great simplistic pictures to help me visualise what was wrong with my shoulder and what he was going to do to fix it! He did what he said he would and I am well on the way to recovery. His whole team was amazing through from the nurses and physiotherapists at the hospital to his admin team and the concierges. Really positive experience and I whole heartedly recommend Mr Khan.
After months of struggling with severely restricted movement following my original shoulder stabilisation surgery, I was referred to this surgeon and the difference in care was immediately apparent. From the first consultation he was genuinely attentive he actually listened, asked the right questions, and didn’t dismiss what I was experiencing. Rather than accepting the limited range of motion as just part of the recovery, he went out of his way to investigate the root cause. What impressed me most was the precision of his approach. He didn’t just fix the immediate problem, he protected what had already been done. The relief I felt post-operatively was something I genuinely hadn’t experienced in months. Movement that had felt completely locked down began to return, and for the first time since my original surgery I felt like I was actually progressing rather than going backwards. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone facing a complex shoulder problem, particularly where a previous procedure hasn’t delivered the expected outcome. His thoroughness, patience and surgical skill made a real difference.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback and for sharing your experience. Taking the time to understand what is troubling a patient and what they hope to achieve from the initial consultation and then what they outcome they want from any recommended treatment options is vital. I always strive to provide my patients with the options available to them and explain why I recommend a specific course, to enable them to make an informed choice about their care. Taking the time to explain, answer questions, and ask questions, ensure, that we are both on the same page and working together towards achieving the best outcome.
A long term shoulder injury left me anxious about the future. Mr Khan explained the problem in detail and how to resolve it.

Thank you for your feedback. It is great to hear that you felt reassured and informed about your options. I always try to ensure that my patients come away understanding the options available to them, so that they can make an informed choice.
Delay in seeing the consultant is my main negative point. My consultation took place a long time after the scheduled time which was very frustrating and meant I had to completely rearrange my day. Though there was an apology, there was no explanation offered. Communication could have been much better handled.
I first met Mr Khan In 2013 at the Homerton Universaty Hospital in East London. I had been suffering from pain deep in my groin area for over two years and all treatment I had received wasn't helping at all. Mr Khan diagnosed me with hip impingement and operated on both my hips successfully resolving the issue. Mr khan is currently treating me for a shoulder problem at the London Independent Hospital. Mr Khan always makes you feel relaxed, he explains everything In detail and never rushes you. I would recommend Mr Khan to anyone that is looking to choose a consultant.

Thank you. I always strive to achieve the best outcomes for all my patients and give them the time they need to feel, informed and able to make a decision on their treatment.
Dr Khan, was caring considertate and extremely knowledgeable. He took his time to explain procedures, optioons and outcomes meticulously. He also has an excellent reputaiton as an outstanding surgeon.
Mr Amer Khan, was great, he was very clear and put my mind to rest where the NHS just confused things. I fear more confident that we are going to do the right thing in regards my shoulder.
My experience with Mr Khan was great - smooth and ensuring. He was the 2nd consultant I've seen after another consultant recommended by a friend but after the 1st time I had seen Mr Khan I knew I would stick with him for my further potential consultations. He is professional and experienced, friendly and caring. He did surgeon for me after the conservative method didn't work out for me and the whole process was smooth and I felt ensured and looked after well. Really appreciate Mr Khan and his team.
Saw Mr Khan for an ACL tear and meniscus tear earlier this year. He was able to assess me, arrange for the scan and see me to discuss the results all within a week. My surgery was booked in within his recommended timeframe for optimum results. Mr Khan is an amazing guy, he really does explain what the options super clearly and in layman's terms - all without being patronising. Great surgeon, can't thank him enough. Thank you Mr Khan!
I recently saw Mr Khan for patella tendinopathy. From start to finish he was professional and reassuring. He explained the condition and the options available to me, listened to my concerns and ultimately put my mind at ease. I loved the diagrams he drew and how he pointed out the problem on the MRI scan. I came away feeling that really knew what was happening inside my body and what I needed to do to get back on track. Nothing was too much trouble. I have had my injection, am well into my physiotherapy treatment and the knee feels great. Thank you Mr Khan.
