Mr Stefan Weitzel is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon specialising in foot, ankle and knee surgery. He has over three decades of experience and sees private patients at several private locations across London, including:

Mr Weitzel completed his primary medical degree at the Medical School of the Albert-Ludwigs University in Germany. After qualifying he completed his specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in London and Norwich. He then undertook further postgraduate fellowships and placements at prestigious orthopaedic surgery centres in the UK, including the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore. Here he found his passion for foot and ankle surgery.
Since then Mr Weitzel has become one of the most experienced foot and ankle specialists in the NHS.

Everything from my initial consultation to my last one went very smoothly and pleasantly. The operation itself must have gone well as I have recovered well and quickly - and lots of people have commented on this.

I found Mr Stefan Weitzel very professional and polite. He put me at ease and explained the procedure required and other options for me to decide which was best for me. After the surgery he visited in hospital to check all was fine and the follow up consultation was again professional and assuring me all had gone well and happy with my progress which was followed up with letter. I would recommend him to family and friends
My experience at The Blackheath Hospital under the care of Dr Weitzel and his team was both professional and caring. My treatment as an impatient was excellent and would commend all members of the nursing team involved in my care. The outcome of my surgery is a total success. Please extend my thanks to all members of staff involved in my care.
Truly grateful for Dr Weitzel, i would not have gotten this far with my initial diagnoses, treatments and so forth it wasn't for him. Although not completely out of the wood works he put on the right path and continued to do so. He stepped in when other medical professionals immensely failed me and ensured i was getting the appropriate diagnoses, information guidance and treatment in line with my diagnoses and treatment.
From my consultation Dr Weitzel explained what was going to happen and was very professional and gave me confidence. The after care was excellent
