Mr Krishna Vemulapalli

Mr Vemulapalli had booked me in for an x ray and a consultation. I had my ankle fusion operation on the 16th February and had been making good progress. Mr Vemulapalli is a good communicator and you don’t feel rushed when you see him. I had just started my physio treatment and he provided some guidance on this. He was pleased with the x rays and my progress and the 25th June was my final consultation. I am really pleased with how everything has gone and highly recommend him if you’re having ankle surgery.

Mr. Vemulapalli is a Dr that takes time to explain in minute detail everything he has found according to your symptoms & tells you everything that needs to be done to ease those symptoms. He has a wonderful bedside manner, & unlike some Consultant surgeons of his expertise, treats you like a human being. He realises when you are in consultation with him you are worried, he does everything in his power to allay those worries & fears. He did an amazing operation on me for a ruptured Achilles Tendon, using an FHL transfer. I am 77 years old & have healed wonderfully well despite my age & have got more or less full use of my leg back after just 8 months, which, I am sure, is due to Mr. V's surgical skills. I would not hesitate recommending Mr. Vempulapalli to anyone.

We chose Mr Vemulapalli because he had an excellent reputation in dealing with children. Whilst our son is 18 his autism means he has difficulty with concentration, comprehension and communication. It often takes a while to understand his communication style. Mr Vemulapalli was outstanding. He quickly modified his style to express himself in a way our son could understand in seconds. More importantly he was swift at confirming my son’s understanding of what was required and whether he was content with that. These skills are not as straightforward as they sound. We come across many professionals who do not possess them but Mr Vemulapalli possesses these skills in abundance. My only frustration was with appointment administrators but that is not within the control of clinical staff and on reflection a tiny irritation. In fact when there was an important matter to resolve a senior executive was also fantastic. Turning to the procedure. It was conducted promptly, with excellent care and understanding. Due to my son’s understanding I requested staff with paediatric experience and my request was met with unquestioning understanding. The anaesthetist chosen by Mr Vemulapalli was excellent, probably the best I have encountered (I had two operations as a child). She popped in at the end of her shift to ensure there were no difficulties with recovery. I wholeheartedly recommend this consultant.

Very clear, and thorough. Mr V gave his own independent advice and diagnosis despite a physio and MRI report I had undertaken separately. Used a physical skeleton of the ankle to demonstrate. He also went through the steps and covered all basis. Very good.
