I had an incredibly positive experience at Delamere and I’m very grateful for my time there which has been transformative. The programme is extremely well structured and thoughtfully designed - a really well-rounded mix of therapy, group work, education and peer support. The staff are kind, dedicated and create a safe, supportive environment where real change feels possible. I want to give special thanks to Mark, my therapist, and Gary, my mentor. Their honesty and approach made a huge difference to my recovery. I felt seen, challenged in the right ways, and supported to build real clarity and confidence. I made meaningful progress and left feeling stronger, clearer and had regained hope for the future. The only area I feel could be improved is the level of psychiatric support. During my stay, patients were offered one 15-minute appointment with the psychiatrist, which felt brief especially for those with more complex mental health needs. I would have valued more collaboration and communication around medication decisions. Strengthening this aspect of care would make an already excellent programme even better. Overall, I’m extremely thankful for my time at Delamere and would definitely recommend the centre to others seeking recovery support.

I am an 88 year old woman who, during her long life, has been under the care of many doctors and Dr. Khwanda is by far the most thorough and caring of them all. Once home after my cardioversion, he phoned me daily later telling me to phone him if I had any worries or concerns. I cannot fault him regarding his post procedure care and thoughtfulness. I consider myself extremely fortunate that, by chance, I chose Dr. Khwanda to be my cardiologist and in whom I have gained complete trust. He is very competent, professional, has the respect of his team, explains treatments and necessary medications in laymen’s terms and very importantly, treats his patients with the greatest care and concern. I always find the receptionists at The Holly difficult to deal with. The booking in experience is poor as one often has to wait for ages whilst the receptionists are on the phone or chatting or apparently doing something on their computers. It is a pity as the doctors and nurses and other staff including the porters at The Holly are extremely good. The receptionists in both the outpatients area and the scan receptionists need better training and better management. I would say however that the GP area receptionists and the front desk receptionists are very nice and very helpful so I have no issues with them.

I had a rotator cuff tear repair 12 months ago. Operation was a complete success and I now have full movement in my shoulder joint. I followed Mr Hussain’s instructions to the letter and religiously did the exercises as instructed by the physiotherapist post op. It was tough at first but worth the pain and inconvenience having been restricted for several years. Mr Hussain managed my expectations, explained the options clearly and listened to my concerns. He told me it would take 12 months to be fully recovered and he was spot on! I d highly recommend him for any shoulder or knee surgery. Many thanks.

The surgeon I chose to do my breast augmentation surgery on December 8th 2025 was friendly and professional in consultation. He was honest about my expectations and explained everything start to finish on how to get the results I want considering I was asymetrical and had no breast tissue. Surgery wasnt bad at all and I am more than happy with the results (7 weeks post op) I had no infection, no side effects of the surgery, everything went perfectly and I healed quickly. I was extremely nervous having had a bad cataract surgery experience previously. However the staff went out of the way to make me feel comfortable, with a particular shout out to Bruce who was calm, funny, knowledgeable and held my hand throughout the procedure. Mr Ainsworth was warm and kind, it was good to meet him before the surgery. The whole procedure was explained and was over so quickly. It was a very personalised experience and my recovery has been quick and straightforward. I cannot recommend Newmedica highly enough, particularly for nervous patients.

Spire Manchester Hospital is exceptional in every sense. The nursing staff who cared for our son were outstanding and made the entire experience feel calm and reassuring rather than clinical. In particular, Sarah was wonderful — attentive, warm, and highly professional, creating an environment that didn’t feel like a hospital at all. The standard of care throughout was exemplary, and this was without question the least stressful surgery experience we have had. We are extremely grateful to the nursing team.

My daughter has come out after five weeks at rehab - she was a mess when she went in and we were worried for her safety and mental health with the drugs she was taking. So far we have seen a transformation - cautious to say but it feels like we have her back. We’re taking it slowly as a family and aftercare seems to be very helpful and we’ll be doing more family therapy, going to al anon etc. she had a really positive rehab experience overall.

I cannot sing Dr Cary’s praises enough. My appointment surpassed my expectations. I was thoroughly listened to. The requests for information prior to the appointment really helped as Dr Cary was well prepared when we met, this helped limit the questions and gave the perfect amount of time to discuss my issues. Dr Cary also followed up my appointment with a letter to my GP and myself on the same day which was amazing.

The Doctor spent time listening and acknowledged the struggles my son is experiencing! He was sympathetic and helped him enormously. Medication was discussed and explained fully. I had trouble releasing urine, as well as blood being present in the urine. Blood would still come out after urination. A stricture in my urethra was the reason for my discomfort. Mr Varun Sahdev was able to determine that and propose various procedure options. After the operation, all my discomfort gradually disappeared, with a very significant change right after the operation.
