Mr Freites is calming and reassuring and explains each process and possible outcomes in a very clear and understandable manner. His use of the computer helped to explain the procedure very clearly to a non-medical person. He has an empathy and made me feel part of his team in this journey to good health. This is a very rare characteristic not found in many surgeons. The removal of the polyp was an unusual and unforgettable experience. I was given a nurse who held my hand and chatted to me during the whole procedure. The rest of the team were introduced and waved to me occasionally. Mr Freites explained his every move and checked that I was feeling okay. I was shown the polyp as I asked to see it. I have had several operations but never before have I been able to witness the event and feel so much a part of the team. At no point did I experience any pain, but I saw at first hand a remarkable surgeon working with his team. A month later I returned for a posterior and anterior prolapse and was relaxed and free from any worries as I knew I was in a very caring and safe pair of hands. I was warned that I might have pain afterwards when sitting down. I found it was uncomfortable but was able to manage by sitting on a folded soft throw. I draped the throw over my arm when I left home as I realised I needed to sit on something soft.

I underwent surgery with Dr.Nitish Narvekar for multiple fibroids and severe endometriosis. My case was complicated, and the surgery lasted for almost 4 hours, but Dr. Nithish handled it with incredible skill and confidence. Admin team are really friendly and very helpful with any questions. They are also very quick to respond to emails which is amazing. Dr Chris Airey is brilliant, he goes through every blood marker and explains everything clearly. I transferred to this clinic from Optimale as the service and protocol I was on didn’t feel very optimal for me. In my opinion, UrbanTRT is way better and I now understand what truly personalised TRT looks like. The difference in how I feel, the communication, and the level of detail they go into has been top quality.

Dr Kong took time and patience to listen, ask appropriate questions to gain insight into my heath issue and put my mind at rest. Prior to the appointment he expedited the biopsy results and had obviously read my medical records. He gave me a clear plan on how to proceed and details of follow-up possibilities with himself privately or through the NHS. Well worth spending the money via self-funding for the peace of mind.

I had an appointment for GBS test on Monday bit disappointed really on the website it said we take 2 swabs also said we can book with someone to take the Sab, which I did, but on the appointment, I was only given tools to do it myself. As being heavy pregnant it's really difficult to do and main reason I went private, paid extra and travelled all the way so, someone will do it for me accurately ( if I had to take swab myself, i would have ordered home kit, reduced so much hazel / money/ time). .

It's a rollercoaster. It's not easy and you can expect to be up and down constantly within each day but you have to remember why you are here and embrace your chance to recover. Be where you are meant to be on time, be open minded but filter out issues that you not yours . Don't expect the timetable to always be correct. Food is not great and everyone's feelings, behaviours and attitudes fluctuate. Be honest with yourself and others. Learn to stay calm, be considerate and kind.

Above and beyond! I was not the most agile person on crutches, my partner dropped me at the door whilst he went to park. Getting me checked in and wheelchair was no issue at all. The nurse in Out Patients who removed my stitches was ki d caring and professional, checking on me all the time (allowing me to take photos !). Took time to fit my walking boot to make sure it was comfortable.
