I would like to begin by acknowledging the excellent care I received from the doctors during my first visit. Both clinicians went above and beyond, and I felt genuinely supported by them. Unfortunately, this high standard was not reflected in my interactions with the reception and administrative staff. After my consultation, the doctor provided me with a ticket for my next appointment and advised that, in the meantime, I should attend the imaging department for an ultrasound. When I arrived at imaging, the staff were dismissive and informed me that, because I was an NHS patient, they would need to write to my GP for a separate referral. I explained that the doctor had instructed me to have the ultrasound the same day. The staff member responded that if I waited in reception, she would speak to the doctor, adding that “quite often they don’t know how things are done.” I waited for an hour with no update. When I approached the desk to ask for news, the staff member replied, “I’m sorry, I forgot all about you,” and said she would speak to the doctor immediately. After she finally did so, the situation changed dramatically: I was suddenly offered an ultrasound appointment for 11:30 a.m. that same day — just an hour and a half later. It was clear that once the doctor became aware of the issue, the department acted quickly and efficiently, which I appreciated, especially as I live only ten minutes away. The ultrasound itself was carried out professionally, and the doctor performing it was excellent. He explained everything clearly and asked when my next appointment was. When I told him it was scheduled for six weeks later, he advised me to return to the main reception and request an earlier appointment, as his report would be completed that same day. However, when I approached reception, I was dismissed outright and told, “Doctors make appointments six weeks in advance — it is what it is.” Additionally, there was no record of my attendance on their system, only an appointment dated 23 March 2026, which, by their own admission, belonged to a different patient entirely. On reflection, while staff may appear polite on the surface, the reality of my experience was the opposite. The inconsistency, dismissiveness, and lack of coordination created unnecessary stress and undermined the otherwise excellent clinical care I received.

Marc and his whole team at Sage were fantastic from beginning to end throughout the whole process. Once it was identified I had a problem with my prostate which needed to be addressed, the Sage support team quickly kicked in and started the process. The initial face to face meeting with Marc was first class, which put both myself and my wife at ease. This was followed up with a detailed breakdown of my status and required next steps. There was a very tight window for him to operate before Christmas; but this was dependant on the scan images being made available as very short notice. His team were tireless in their pursuit of the images form the NHS. Only because of their diligence were the images were delivered in a timely manner to Marc and the hospital. On the day of the operation I was visited by Marc and the anesthetist prior to surgery, which was a great success. I was seen again by Marc the following day and then allowed home later that day. All of the team who looked after me were outstanding and did a great job. The post surgery follow-up and care has been equally good. His team are always available and I have seen Marc twice post- operation. His guidance, support and professionalism has been outstanding. As well as being a great surgeon Marc is empathetic to the mental and emotional toll that a cancer diagnosis and surgery take. For me he is at the top of his game in this field and I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone in a similar position.

All seemed to be going well and at the close of my appointment the consultant asked me to have a blood test done outwith the Cathedral Also he advised that I should make an appointment for the operating procedure downstairs at reception. Circa end of April When I went to the desk I was advised that the member of staff was off that pm and I would receive a call tomorrow Next day I contacted my surgery about the blood sample and test. Late on my surgery called back to advise they were not willing to arrange the test as they were not treating me I received no call from Cathedrai that day The next day I waited to on and called Cathedral Spoke to Clare a few times and essence of conversation was that all was on hold as consultant on holiday and not available till 17th February Also no progress can be made with blood sample and rest even although I asked them to read my consultation notes !!! So I could comment more however this is the essence of a mot disappointing situation after my consultation

Dr. Wei took great care and time with me during our appointment, to listen to my concerns, symptoms, answer any questions, discuss treatment options, and to ensure after a treatment plan was agreed upon, that I understood next steps, and even further possible treatments. She was incredibly warm, present, and genuinely interested in what my experience was and why I had sought out further investigation. Her expertise and knowledge and invested interest in her patients well-being, even past their time with her, is evident, and she made me feel informed, validated and less alone while navigating a new health journey. It gave me faith again in healthcare professionals who genuinely care about their patients well-being and are able not only to provide excellent care, but also excellent bedside manner and are collaborative in their approach. I would highly recommend her as a healthcare professional and am so grateful that our paths crossed at a challenging time for myself.

The rehab plan has always been clear, progress has been excellent, and follow-up is very responsive whenever I have questions. Her patients’ recovery and long-term outcomes are clearly a genuine priority for her. The facilities at the Lansdowne Club are also outstanding and make a real difference to the quality of the rehabilitation. I would definitely recommend Physio Remedies.

My daughter has come out after five weeks at rehab - she was a mess when she went in and we were worried for her safety and mental health with the drugs she was taking. So far we have seen a transformation - cautious to say but it feels like we have her back. We’re taking it slowly as a family and aftercare seems to be very helpful and we’ll be doing more family therapy, going to al anon etc. she had a really positive rehab experience overall.
