Overall, Spire Elland was great and I would happily return should I require any further procedures in the future. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and everything is very clean. I think the main thing letting the hospital down is patient communication. All appointments and comms are recorded and delivered via an app. If you don't want to or aren't able to download the app (like me), you do end up being left a little in the dark about things. For example, I had been given a surgery date fairly soon after my initial consultation, which was great, however I hadn't been informed that there would be multiple pre-operative assessment appointments to attend - all of which were on-site at Spire Elland, which is around an hour's drive for us. On one occasion, I had to make last-minute arrangements to move clients around as I'd been unaware of an upcoming appointment - I'd received no email, no text, no phone call, no letter. I just so happened to log in to my online portal and find the appointment date there. I moved clients around so I could attend, and just a couple of days before my appointment received a text message to say the date had changed, with no explanation provided. I called to try and find out why this might be, but was met with a dismissive reply of, "We just had to move it". All of the documents outlining the process for my surgery and the prep I should do beforehand were provided online, and the online portal isn't the simplest to navigate, so accessing them wasn't as easy as it could have been. When I was admitted for my day surgery, the staff were very welcoming and friendly, although I did find that I received a blunt reply whenever I asked a question about anything. This was my first ever surgery and my first time being put under general anaesthetic, so naturally I was quite nervous. Some of the members of staff were very helpful and supportive, but others seemed to have little patience, which wasn't ideal and only served to make me more anxious. When I came to after the surgery, I had been expecting to have a bit of a handover with someone so I could at least find out how it had gone and what they had/hadn't found. Unfortunately, Mr Gan was occupied in another surgery, and so I was discharged before having the chance to speak to him. I asked the nurses for some clarification - any brief notes or insights they might be able to give to put my mind at ease a bit until I could speak with Mr Gan - but this was met with quite curt replies. I was told no one could read Mr Gan's handwriting so no one could tell me any information, which at the time was quite frustrating as I'd been dealing with the pain for so long and had viewed the laparoscopy as the light at the end of the tunnel. It was disheartening to leave the hospital without any real clarification of the issue. Now having had my final follow-up with Mr Gan, I can say with confidence that all of my questions have been answered, and I feel validated and supported as a patient. However, I can't help but feel that had the communication from the hospital team been a little better throughout the process, it wouldn't have been so frustrating to wake up after the surgery and find that no one could tell me how it had gone.

I cannot recommend Dr Karoshi highly enough. From my very first consultation through to my now 2nd hysteroscopic fibroid resection with him, he has been exceptional. What stood out most was how informative, compassionate, and supportive he was at every stage. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions with patience, and made sure I felt reassured and involved in decisions especially around preserving my fertility, which was incredibly important to me. His calm manner, genuine care, and expertise made a potentially overwhelming experience feel manageable and safe. I felt truly listened to and cared for not just as a patient but as a person, after so many visits to other gynae’s who either misdiagnosed or didn’t take further action based on my concerns Dr Karoshi was my light at the end of the tunnel and has given me hope after so many years of heartache and difficulty. I am deeply grateful for his skill and kindness and would recommend him without hesitation to anyone needing gynaecological care.

All seemed to be going well and at the close of my appointment the consultant asked me to have a blood test done outwith the Cathedral Also he advised that I should make an appointment for the operating procedure downstairs at reception. Circa end of April When I went to the desk I was advised that the member of staff was off that pm and I would receive a call tomorrow Next day I contacted my surgery about the blood sample and test. Late on my surgery called back to advise they were not willing to arrange the test as they were not treating me I received no call from Cathedrai that day The next day I waited to on and called Cathedral Spoke to Clare a few times and essence of conversation was that all was on hold as consultant on holiday and not available till 17th February Also no progress can be made with blood sample and rest even although I asked them to read my consultation notes !!! So I could comment more however this is the essence of a mot disappointing situation after my consultation

10/10 experience. We had our 10 year old son assessed for ADHD. From the moment i called to enquire about the process and what are the steps involved to the actually assessment, everyone has been amazing. Steven in the front office walked me through the entire process, what to expect, costings etc. he was polite, kind and very professional. Dr Hollie Hearfield who did the assessment was lovely. She was so good with our son, she explained everything to us as to what the next steps are. I cannot recommend you enough to others who might be thinking of going private. Dr Animesh Singh

I brought my mother to see Dr Singh as she has been getting more and more unwell and her GP didn’t seem to know what was going on. In desperation we went to A&E, and again they didn’t seem to know what was wrong with her. Dr Singh took a careful history and looked at the results we had and diagnosed her with PMR. She was instantly better following the steroid treatment he prescribed and is back to normal within a few days. I am especially thankful that he was mindful of us being self-paying patients and didn’t just order expensive tests. I’m very glad to see my mother back to normal now and would recommend Dr Singh for anyone seeking a rheumatological opinion.

I had a great experience at Cyprus ivf hospital. Aman was our coordinator and she was immediately responding to all our worries and questions. It is a clean and well equipped clinic. The prices were fixed and no extra expenses were placed. They let you now about the price from the beginning and you now as the procedure goes on, when and how much you have to pay. Transfer of the embryos took place only when the doctor was sure everything was ready. No rushing. They followed the correct protocol for my case and were always there for us any day any time! Spire Manchester Hospital is exceptional in every sense. The nursing staff who cared for our son were outstanding and made the entire experience feel calm and reassuring rather than clinical. In particular, Sarah was wonderful — attentive, warm, and highly professional, creating an environment that didn’t feel like a hospital at all. The Holep procedure carried out by Matthew Liew has been a complete success. From suffering with urinary hesitation and retention I am now able to lead a completely normal life only needing to visit the toilet every 2 to 3 hours. Within 6 weeks of surgery I was urinating freely with no hesitation and the fear of searching out toilet facilities gone completely. The whole surgical experience from initial consultation to post operative appointments has been exemplary.

Went in for atrial fibrillation ablation procedure. Couldn't have gone better went in slightly late but whole procedure was very smooth. I felt fully informed of what was going on and in safe hands all the way through. Came out the other side with very little pain or discomfort and feel very confident that this procedure will be a success, even though I am aware and have been informed that it's around 70-80% in reality. Overall can't fault Dr. Eysenk at all
