I recently visited following a referral from a different department. I have been trying to find the cause to pain I have been suffering from since jan 2024. Today I had the answers. I can’t tell you how happy I am that it’s nothing serious. Dr G Smotra performed 2 ultrasound scans on me and was so friendly and kind during this that I was instantly put at ease. There were 2 other nurses in the room who were so lovely and asked if I was ok and kept ensuring me that I was doing well. Afterwards DR G Smotra sat down with me and explained all the findings from the scan plus a previous ct scan, she really had time for me which I don’t usually feel within other departments. I do need to return in the future and I hope that I am always under her care. Thank you I am so greatful.

I was overwhelmed by surprise that Dr Kelly was able to clear up my ear infections , which I had in both ears for 22monthsin one visit!. Considering I had nine previous visits with another consultant at Kingsbridge hospital outpatients without success after the 9visits the consultant referred me to Dr Andrew Kelly.After 22months I was in the depth of despair as my hearing was deeply affected by the infections and my audiologist struggled to try and improve my hearing by adjusting the aid , my left ear by the way I gave up wearing at the start of my infections as I have a 90% hearing loss in that ear, so I completely dependent on the hearing aid in the right ear. I am completely indebted to Dr Kelly for helping me get over these infections , which blighted my life.

Dr. Devarajan treated me for endometriosis, which included the removal of an ovarian cyst, fibroid, and endometriotic tumour. After years of suffering, she immediately put my mind at ease and arranged treatment within just 10 days of diagnosis. Four weeks post-surgery, I feel better than I have in years. Throughout the entire process, Dr. Devarajan showed genuine warmth and empathy, and she was always responsive to any questions I had after treatment. My only regret is not seeing her sooner. Everything was excellent. Staff were kind, friendly and efficient without exception. My only concern is that there does not seem to have been a good reason for the 14 week wait after referral. It seemed clear that Newmedica would have had capacity to complete the procedure sooner but apparently the NHS would not pay for this flexibility. My sight deteriorated in that time so that was a personal negative.

I arrived before my appointment time, bought some food and a coffee from the café, and settled down with my laptop to do a little work. The waiting areas were calm, clean, and very relaxing, and I had no difficulty finding a seat. My wait to see the consultant ran just a few minutes over my scheduled time, simply because the patient before me had slightly overrun.
