About Vitalscan
Vitalscan Milton Keynes is a private diagnostic clinic at 100 Avebury Boulevard, Milton Keynes. It offers MRI scans, ultrasound scans and blood tests for adults and for young people aged 13 to 17. No GP referral is needed for adult scans, and same week appointments are available.
Services
- MRI scans: full body, brain, cardiac, abdominal, spine, knee, prostate and gynaecological. Scans are performed on a Philips MRI scanner and reported by expert radiologists.
- Ultrasound scans: abdomen, neck, pelvis, testes, groin and joints. All are carried out by consultant doctors in private consultation rooms. Ultrasound guided joint injections are also available by specialist referral.
- Blood tests: heart health, thyroid, diabetes, liver, testosterone, fertility, PSA, anaemia, full blood count and food allergy screening.
- Paediatric scans: brain MRI, MRI and ultrasound for young people aged 13 to 17, with a parent or guardian present throughout and a consultant radiologist report. A referral is required, and the clinic can arrange one if needed.
After every scan, patients receive a detailed report and can discuss their results with a qualified clinician, so they fully understand their health and any next steps.

My overall experience at Vital Scan was good, and the scan itself went smoothly. However, I was a little disappointed by the lack of personal attention afterwards. Once the scan was completed, I was left to find my own way out of the clinic without anyone accompanying or directing me. This felt rather impersonal and was not quite the level of care or service I had expected. A little more attention to patients at the end of their visit would make a significant difference to the overall experience

I appreciated the care the nurses took before my MRI when I felt panicky with the device that was over my chest as it felt like a weighted blanket and made me breathe fast They offered to do the first half of the scan without it to give me time to get used to the scan which allowed me time to breathe without problems The only bad thing was the radio wasn’t working in my earphones for the first half of the scan which made it difficult to distract myself from the panic
