Dr Omar Ahmed

Mr Omar Ahmed is a highly skilled Consultant ENT, Head & Neck, and Thyroid Surgeon dedicated to providing expert, evidence-based care for both adults and children. He graduated from Alexandria University Medical School in 2011 before completing his specialist ENT training at Alexandria Main University Hospital, one of the region's largest tertiary centers. Following his move to the UK, he joined East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust as a Specialty Doctor before pursuing highly specialised surgical training.

Committed to mastering complex procedures, Mr Ahmed has gained extensive experience in managing benign and malignant head and neck conditions. He completed a Head and Neck Oncology Fellowship at University College London Hospitals (UCLH), followed by a Senior Post-CCT Fellowship in Head and Neck and Thyroid Surgery at Liverpool University Hospitals, further refining his expertise in endocrine surgery and advanced head and neck procedures. He is passionate about utilising the latest surgical approaches, including minimally invasive, LASER, and robotic-assisted methods, to deliver patient-centred care tailored to individual needs.

In 2025, Mr Ahmed was appointed as a substantive Consultant ENT, Head & Neck, and Thyroid Surgeon at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust, where he remains actively involved in research, peer-reviewed publications, and surgical education.
