Mr Thiruendran Gunendran is a Consultant Urologist specialising in general urology, urological cancers and benign prostate disorders with over 18 years of experience. He is currently based in Manchester and sees patients at Wythenshawe Hospital and private patients at Spire Manchester Hospital.
He completed his medical degree at the University of Bristol in 1999, followed by his specialist urological training in the North West. He became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2004 and a Fellow in Urology of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2007. He was appointed as a consultant urologist at the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust in 2009, having already worked at Trafford General Hospital and University Hospital South Manchester.

Very friendly, very understanding and was made to feel at ease

He was easy to contact and made himself available before and after the operation. He has a pleasant disposition and is easy to talk to. Six weeks after the TURP op I am very happy with the results so far, with only some final (hopefully) tests to be carried out.
