Mr Antoine Kass-Iliyya

Mr Antoine Kass-Iliyya is a skilled and experienced consultant urological surgeon who specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of urinary tract stones, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, and andrology. Based in York, he sees private patients at Nuffield Health York Hospital and the Duchy hospital in Harrogate.

Mr Kass-Iliyya has over 15 years of experience and has completed his basic surgical training in Staffordshire, Darlington, Stockton on Tees, and Middlesbrough. He has accomplished higher specialist training across Manchester, Swindon, London, York, Bristol, and Plymouth, acquiring vast experience in all aspects of general urology, stone disease, and benign and malignant prostate disorders.

In 2010, Mr Kass-Iliyya obtained a Master's degree with distinction from the University of Edinburgh, where his thesis analysed the functional outcomes and quality of life of prostate cancer patients after undergoing radical prostatectomy. He became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and took up his NHS consultant post in 2020 at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals, where he currently serves as the lead clinician for the stone services.

Mr Kass-Iliyya is an active and prominent figure in clinical research and has authored various publications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals, such as the British Journal of Urology and the European Journal of Urology. He has also been invited to present at selected national and international urological conferences in France, Ireland, Sweden, the UK, and the USA. Mr Kass-Iliyya was awarded the best paper prize at The British Association of Urological Surgeons conference in Liverpool for his leading work in the field of urology.
