I was at St Josephs for a repair to the rotator cuff of my right shoulder. Admission was at 11:00 hrs and I was shown to a private room with ensuite bathroom, bed, easy chair and TV with Internet and Sky access. A nurse took a set of observations and both the surgeon and anaesthetist came in to discuss my surgery and confirm my consent. At 12:00 I walked in gown and slippers to the operating theatre and once on the operating table I was connected to various monitors. A pre med drug was injected via a canula on the back of my right hand. At 13:00hrs I woke up in the recovery room with the operation complete. After a short while my bed was wheeled back to my room. Further sets of observations were taken and later I was given my choice of post op snack and coffee. A physio came to see me and gave me a sheet of recommended exercises. At 19:00 my daughter arrived to take me home. I was happy with all aspects of the day.

Dr. Muheden was kind and attentive to my concerns and provided exceptional care during my visits. His attention to detail and genuine concern made all the difference and he ensured I understood every step of my treatment. The entire Pixie and Sera team was extremely professional from scheduling either online or by phone to reception at the clinic. They all ensured I was seen within minutes on my appointment days. Keep up great job! Suggestion - If we could get appointments and at least tests and labs done over the weekends. Maybe half days on Saturdays? It is hard for some of us to come on weekdays hence all my appointments had to be done late in the evenings. If I had an option for Saturday I would've preferred that than late in the evenings. Thank you!

For a considerably long time I've had prostate related problems which seemed to come to a head with a severe and very debilitating urine infection. Mr. Ellis suggested Holep surgery to my prostate which was very enlarged. He also suggested the operation could help to prevent another infection. Well, it was extremely successful and I'm totally amazed with the result. I'm thrilled that he suggested the operation. Absolutely brilliant, from the moment i had the pre-op all the staff from the reception right upto and including the surgeon Mr phaltankar are great - they put you at ease the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out and considering I had a full knee replacement I didn’t think I would walking so well even with crutches and after four weeks I didn’t need them the procedure was that good. My thanks to all the staff at highfield hospital and a special thanks to Mr phaltankar who gave me my mobility back.

My recent visit with Dr. Stephens was most informative. A series of questions from Dr. Stephens allowed him to understand the reason for my visit. Dr Stephens then reviewed and analysed the data associated with my visit. This was followed by interpretation of the associated medical data and explained clearly in layman’s terms. Finally, a course of action for the future was outlined. All in all, it was a very thorough, thoughtful consultation, which was most welcome and reassuring. Thank you.

After I got a PCO in my left eye I needed laser surgery. I had not been told this was common after Lens replacement by the opticians who did did that surgery so I was very worried about my sight. I contacted Cathedral Eye Clinic who assured me it was common and was easily corrected. They made an appointment and in less than an hour my sight was restored. I was dealth with by very friendly and professional staff and would happily recommend Cathedral Eye Clinic to anyone .

Arrived in good time but parking was appalling. No toilet in the temporary scanner, so had to find another in main building. Was a little out of breath in return and was sent straight in. Told to stay still, but was still breathing a little hard which wasn’t taken into account. The staff were pleasant but seemed to give up on me when I couldn’t hear instructions through the headphones (I had been told to wear ear protection buds underneath).
