I've seen the Joint Injection doctor twice, had two injections, and both were very helpful. The first visit was after I suffered some tissue injury to an arthritic knee and had some fluid removed and a cortisone injection, which gave me immediate relief and was the catalyst to me returning to exercise. I was having ongoing stiffness in the same joint and returned six months later. After consultation I chose to have a hyaluronic acid injection. This made a big difference to the pain, stiffness and function of my knee and has meant I am able now to properly rebuild strength on that side. Dr Thing is easy to talk to, and I felt he really supported what I am trying to do, which is to stay highly active and delay the point I will need surgery for as long as possible. He is very well informed and explained clearly the pros and cons of various approaches to managing arthritis of the knee. He is also skilled at what he does, the injections are ultrasound guided to ensure correct placement and both injections were painless.

Couldn't fault the hospital at all. It is clean, and a very welcoming environment, but of course is absolutely down to the people that run it. Every single member of staff I came across - whether in my pre op assessment appointment, or during my surgical visit - was incredibly kind, patient, and so easy to get along with. I have had few good experiences when it comes to hospital visits, but the two times I've been at The Lister Hospital, I have spoken to and laughed with so many workers. My nurse Rasheed was an absolute gem, and was brilliant with my family when they came to the room after surgery. Whether it was the nurse that helped me to the loo, the people on reception, the physio - every single person I interacted with made it such a calm and positive experience, their kindness will stay with me so thank you very much

I had a really positive experience at the hospital during my recent surgery. From the moment I arrived, everything was organised, calm, and reassuring. The staff at every stage — reception, nursing, surgical, and aftercare — were friendly, professional, and incredibly attentive. The hospital itself was clean, comfortable, and well-run. I felt safe and well looked after throughout my stay. Any questions I had were answered clearly, and the team always made sure I understood what was happening and what to expect next. Overall, my experience couldn’t have been better. The care, communication, and compassion shown by everyone truly stood out. I’m very grateful for the excellent service and would highly recommend this hospital to anyone needing treatment.

I loved the day staff. Ikram and Sennecca treated me with such kindness and so much support. I unfortunately was discharged after a week as I have other issues that need addressing before I am able to continue the treatment. The night staff in my experience have not been very attentive to my distress. As nights are the hardest time for me this was quite a big issue for me. Dr Veale is great and really knows what he is talking about. The rooms feel like a hotel and the program is scary but excellent here. Food is another issue for me and the kitchen are very accommodating to needs but the general menu is very eclectic. Overall I would say this is a very good hospital and I've seen patients with real change here.

My whole experience was exceptional. From the first consultation Mr Davies explained everything to me in detail, asked me many questions and really listened to what I had to say, it felt so good to be heard and not feeling rushed. From checking in at 7am until I left in the afternoon every member of staff I dealt with was so kind and reassuring, I felt very safe and confident. Mr Davies again went through everything and I felt reassured. My surgery was a month ago and I feel wonderful, no pain and my life is a lot easier. Very Pleased with the clarity of my vision after wearing Glasses, I had the Galaxy lense fitted and I now have full contrast and colour definition. I had my procedure done at Freedom Chelmsford. The team there were absolutely brilliant,friendly, professional. The procedure was very quick and painless. I could see the improvement immediately . It took a few days for my eyes to adjust as my prescription was very strong and complicated, (lazy left eye.) I received excellent person centred care. I came for wax removal and discovered I had an ear infection that needed treatment first. The audiologist was very helpful and gave me a referral letter to see the Doctor and once the infection has cleared I could return to complete the wax removal . The Receptionist was welcoming , friendly and helpful from my first phone and on my two visits . Thank you

All the staff are absolutely amazing, so friendly and professional. I had went in for a second surgery and was still quite nervous and my surgeon helped calm me down. In the recovery area once I woke up the staff were very attentive as well, updating my partner as I went through surgery and recovery to let him know everything was alright and when to come back etc.
