Dr David Simon

Dr David Simon is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Advanced Endoscopist specialising in the diagnosis, investigation, and management of conditions affecting the digestive system, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and bile ducts. He provides comprehensive care for adult patients presenting with a broad range of gastrointestinal symptoms, including bloating, abdominal pain, acid reflux (GORD), diarrhoea, dyspepsia, anaemia, and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO). Dr Simon is known for his patient-centred approach, combining clinical expertise with clear, reassuring communication to help patients thoroughly understand their condition and feel confident in their treatment path.

Dr Simon earned his medical qualification (MD) and completed specialist clinical training at leading university teaching hospitals in Paris and London, followed by senior fellowship training in hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) medicine and advanced interventional endoscopy. Alongside his clinical work, he is active in research and education, contributing to the development of novel endoscopic techniques. He holds professional memberships with key national and international medical organisations, including the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG), the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE), the Société Nationale Française de Gastroentérologie (SNFGE), and the Association Française pour l'Étude du Foie (AFEF).

With dedicated expertise in advanced therapeutic endoscopy, Dr Simon routinely performs diagnostic and interventional procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). He has a specialist interest in offering minimally invasive endoscopic procedures for complex pancreatic and biliary disorders, providing patients with safe and effective non-surgical alternatives for conditions such as gallstones, pancreatic cysts, pancreatitis, and bile duct strictures.
