Mr Michael Wong

Mr Michael Wong is a substantive NHS Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at the Royal London Hospital (Barts Health NHS Trust), where he serves as the Lead Consultant for Benign Robotic Surgery and Lead Consultant for Early Pregnancy and Emergency Gynaecology. In private practice, he sees patients at The Gynaecology Ultrasound Centre on Harley Street and The Portland Hospital.

This allows for immediate, non-invasive diagnosis and mapping of complex conditions—such as deep infiltrating endometriosis, adenomyosis, fibroids, endometrial polyps, ovarian cysts, and early pregnancy complications—often avoiding the need for purely diagnostic surgery.

Training & Academic Excellence
Mr Wong graduated from the University of Leicester in 2005 and completed his specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in London. During his training, he undertook a prestigious three-year Clinical Research Fellowship in Advanced Gynaecological Ultrasound at University College London Hospitals (UCLH) and was awarded an MD(Res) degree by University College London (UCL) for his research into gynaecological ultrasound, alongside an MSc from Queen Mary University of London.

He has authored over 35 peer-reviewed scientific publications and presented his work at major international conferences, including being selected as a finalist for the Young Investigator Award at the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ISUOG) World Congress.
