About Mr Adam Shakir
Mr Shakir is a Consultant ENT and Head & Neck Surgeon based at Milton Keynes University Hospital, where he has been in practice since 2019.
He studied medicine at the University of Bristol and went on to complete specialist ENT surgical training in the North East of England and Wales. His postgraduate Master’s research focused on chronic sinusitis and was presented internationally, earning a distinction from the University of Edinburgh.
Before becoming a consultant, he completed advanced subspecialty fellowship training in Brisbane, Australia, working within one of the country’s largest head and neck cancer surgery units. This experience strengthened his expertise in head and neck oncology as well as related ENT conditions.
His clinical interests include skin cancer of the head and neck region, snoring and sleep apnoea, voice and swallowing disorders, and salivary gland disease. Alongside his clinical work, he has a strong interest in medicolegal aspects of practice and has undertaken postgraduate training in this area.
He is also actively involved in education and training, having served as an Honorary Lecturer at Cardiff University School of Medicine, and he currently acts as an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons, contributing to standards in ENT surgical training.

Adam is great and went above and beyond
I received very good services from Saxon clinic . Dr. Shakir and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. He had a thorough examination and explained everything patiently. He also organized a few tests to be done which was very reassuring. I would recommend him and Saxon clinic to other patients.
