Mr Andrew James is consistently professional, informative, and provides clear explanations. Patients frequently report successful outcomes from procedures like spinal decompression and microdiscectomy, leading to significant relief from long-standing lower back pain and sciatica. He ensures patients feel understood and comfortable, providing excellent care from initial consultation through to post-operative recovery. Key themes across patient feedback include substantial improvement in lower back pain and general back pain, particularly through spinal surgery interventions such as lumbar decompression and discectomy.
Massive thank you to Mr Andrew James and the anaesthetist and Mr Andrew's team could not fault my back surgery and treatment from start to finish of my stay with great communication throughout 👍 once again thank so much and the great work you do Regards Nigel P.
Mr James is brilliant. I've seen him a few times over the years he's always found ways to provide solutions that last. He also proactively called me ahead of my consultation to arrange an MRI to ensure we got the most out of the consultation. We now have a plan. It's great, just how healthcare should be.
Mr James is always efficient and explains everything thoroughly and listens to any questions I may have. Extremely pleased with him and his team on the day of my operation and the aftercare I have had. My post op appointment today as always was good and he explained with my x rays how things had gone during and after the op. I explained I was concerned about three episodes of feeling that my legs had gone weak and felt I would collapse. Two before my op and one subsequent. Mr James then sent me for two further x rays and after I saw him again said that all was ok. Everything was efficient and I am very pleased with the outcome of my operation. Thank you Mr James
Mr James is obviously a very professional man, he is also very warm and friendly, this meant that had no worries about what was going to happen, the nurses were amazing, my stay at MKUH may have been short but everyone went out of their way to ensure my experience was a good one. If I were to have any issues it would only be the food, my first meal was I am sure was wallpaper paste
Mr James was very polite., asked how I was. Mr James explained my diagnosis, showing me my MRI images. He explained that there are other options and giving me the time to consider the options. I felt confident that I could be fixed.
My first meeting with Mr James. He made me feel very relaxed. I was a bit anxious that I could be waisting his time. I came away from the consultation confident I had done the right thing, and my options were clearly explained.
Mr Andrew James was very pleasant. My appointment was on time. He explained everything clearly
"I cannot speak highly enough of the care provided by Mr. Andrew James at MKUH. From start to finish, the service has been nothing short of outstanding. One of the most impressive aspects of visiting Mr. James is his incredible punctuality—appointments consistently run pretty much to time, which is a rare and deeply appreciated quality in healthcare. Combined with his exceptionally efficient approach and friendly bedside manner, he makes what can often be a stressful experience feel completely seamless and reassuring. I am thoroughly grateful for his professionalism, efficiency, and kindness. Highly recommended!"
Excellent. Always with a smile. Clear explanations, and very reassuring. What every patient needs.
Well all I can say about Mr James is his absolutely fabulous the way he treats patient the way he talks you through every every part of what he’s going to do. This is the third time I’ve seen Mr James and each time it’s not been any different. He’s absolutely the best consultant ever.
