I have had Cataract operations to both eyes January-March 2025. Things didn't start well when the Surgeon, in a 'telephone consultation' with me, committed to a price for the new lenses I would get. This was later overruled by the Management who told me the Surgeon didn't have the authority to agree a price with me. So I had to pay quite a bit more than I was originally told. As in some £400 per eye more. Amusing to observe how the 'care' (on the NHS, but sub-contracted to this private business) was promoted as being 'Exactly the same as Private Medical Care'. Oh no it wasn't ...it was much better. Once I was flagged up as 'potentially suitable for a PRIVATE operation' using Implants that were 'Not available on the NHS' I was treated very different. Previously done examinations were repeated 'to be sure'. Does that mean they are not sure if you are a NHS Patient? ;). Additional examinations 'not available on the NHS' were done. Am I being unfair? A short review would just say this: *Generally excellent professional friendly staff. * Medical care excellent. But.... Appointment waiting times need reviewing - I have always had to wait at least 45 min, sometimes more than on hour, before being seen. Why? If you depend on a relative or friend to drop you off and pick you up it sometimes got a bit difficult: Is this appointment going to take 30 Min, or 4 hours? Nobody knows. Admin/organization sometimes a bit confused - Why did I get an email survey for my right eye, and not for my left? Waiting in the corridor between different checks in different rooms a bit of a hit and miss - staff running around, folders being handed over, people sitting and waiting being missed, the order in which things were done got a bit confused sometimes, patients reminding passing nurses that others who arrived after them were seen before them. But all with good humor! But, in the end, I can see excellent again with both eyes - and that is what is really important.

I had my varicose vein scan with Louis and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the start, he made me feel relaxed, comfortable, and confident that I was being properly looked after. Throughout my treatment, from the initial consultation to the operation and follow up appointments Mr Sood has provided a “gold star” service. At the initial consultation he explained the procedure thoroughly and I was encouraged to give thought as to whether or not I wished to proceed with a full hip replacement. Following my agreement to proceed I was swiftly kept informed, stage by stage of developments prior to the operation. On admission day Mr Sood visited me once again ensure I was happy to proceed. The day went very smoothly and I felt relaxed and in extremely capable hands. At post-op appointments he has clearly explained any questions I had and encouraged me with the progress I have been making. I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone who is considering hip replacement to seek Mr Sood advice and help.

We visited Dr Haddad just before Xmas and again recently. Dr Haddad has been excellent! My daughter has been struggling with a severe reaction to something which is causing her stress and unfortunately the other channels we have taken to date have not been of any help. Dr Haddad has really turned things around for us by helping us to understand what might be going on and helping as best he can in getting to the bottom cause. He Explains everything so clearly, allowing us to ask as many questions as we need, putting my daughter at ease which has made her feel that she is being understood and heard. Above all giving us a clear path on our next steps and not giving up on us. I would highly recommend Dr Hiddad and so grateful that we found him.

I have received nothing but the upmost care from all staff. The parking is simple on arrival and great to have disabled spaces immediately outside for collection post op! I have always been called through to my appointments on time and at times even earlier if I've arrived early myself. The staff that have stood out to me and taken wonderful care are Louise, Ruby, Jessie in the surgery department and Sandy in the post care department. Everywhere is always clean, with a warm welcome from reception. It's a lovely touch to use the drinks machine in the waiting area, the hot chocolate is delicious. I cannot fault any of my treatment or care by the Mcindoe staff, its exceptional.

Mr lim is a thorough professional. Whenever I meet with him he is already well prepared for our session: has already updated himself on the current situation, is fully informed on any relevant history - I find this a refreshing change as my experience over the last year with some severe health issues has given me several experiences of poorly prepared and poorly performing GPs who offered bad advice and incorrect diagnoses, even making matters worse. I have complete confidence in Mr Lim.

He goes at your pace and he will help make the best decisions with you and on your behalf. He travels to top conferences and is up to date with most progressive treatments that can be offered. You will be lucky if you get on his list he is sought out by celebrities and royalty.

Communication about where the treatment was to take place could have been a bit clearer - appointment was arranged via Shawfair Park reception but treatment was actually at Murrayfield which wasn't clear to me. Murrayfield reception also called and seemed surprised too that it has been done by Shawfair but didn't clarify where it was happening. All worked out in the end though.

The hospital was very clean, very friendly and very welcoming. I was shown to my room, given a menu for dinner that night as I was staying over. The staff were all very polite and attentive, even going above and beyond to get me a chocolate milkshake when the kitchen had shut. Very nice people and a very good stay after my first time going under anaesthetic
