I waited over an hour to be seen for my pre admission appointment. After being admitted and been shown to my room I was left for 5 hours in a cold room without anyone checking on me or giving me information about when my operation would be. Staff only turned up when I called and was then able to get some water as I was then advised that my operation was being delayed for a few hours. Short staffed. Slow to respond to buzzer calls. Staff always seemed to be busy doing something else other than looking after patients. Quite noisy ward during the day with people’s loud voices/laughing. Outdated facilities, no overhead bed light so had to have the main big room lights on all the time, which I could not control. I was moved to a different room after my operation as the first one did not have sufficient heating. The en-suite bathrooms are very outdated. Very short shower hose. In my second room there were 2 Rentokill boxes in shower. 50% of staff were friendly. I had major abdominal surgery. My night nurse was very compassionate and took very good care of me for 2 nights. I was discharged with the insufficient amount of painkillers to take home and without a physio assessment or much information about what symptoms to look out for and how to help recovery. I had to contact my own GP to get enough painkillers. Once discharged I had to walk with my husband all the way to the car at the pickup parking as there was no porter or wheelchair available. I had given 1h notice and then let her know again 10minutes before my husband arrived to collect me.

When booking the consultation with Nick Panay, the earliest available date was 2 months in advance. I was required to pay the full £395 under pressure at time, being told that the consultation would be lost unless I paid by 5pm. My understanding that this appointment would be for specialist, in-depth input tailored to a complex clinical history. Given that context, I was disappointed that the consultation felt limited to a reiteration of guideline-based recommendations, with little opportunity to explore causation, individual nuance, or the specific questions I had prepared. At several points during the consultation, I felt that my questions were closed down rather than explored, and the overall tone felt more directive than supportive. Given my long and complex medical history, I had hoped for a more compassionate and collaborative approach. Instead, I left the consultation feeling unheard and dismissed, which was distressing. I had hoped for greater depth and collaborative discussion, particularly in light of the significant upfront cost. I was given no additional value beyond what I already knew and was told in any case, that I required a further consultation to finalise a treatment plan. I have been in contact with the practice and explained that the consultation did not meet the reasonable expectations set by the cost, structure, or positioning of this service. I appreciate that since, I have received a considered response from the Practice Manager and the consultation and fee are being reviewed.

Her approach made this journey not only safe, but also peaceful and reassuring. What could have been stressful instead became a beautiful, calm experience that lasted more than a year — all thanks to her attentive and compassionate care. I would also like to warmly mention her assistant Lucia, who was equally attentive, friendly, responsive, and always ready to answer any questions. Her support and positive attitude made every interaction even more pleasant. If we are blessed to have another child in the future, there is absolutely no doubt — we would choose Miss Elaine Scott again without hesitation. This was a truly wonderful journey in the most caring and professional hands. Highly recommended from the bottom of our hearts.

By the time I reached out to Dr Olena, my anxiety was affecting my ability to do presentations and travel for work, things that were essential to my role in finance. Working with Dr Olena has been transformative. She used a combination of approaches tailored to what I needed - CBT and existential therapy initially helped me tackle my anxiety head-on. Within months, I was back to delivering presentations confidently and travelling for business again, things I'd been avoiding for far too long. For my depression, we've taken a different approach, incorporating DBT alongside existential therapy. Whilst this remains a work in progress, I'm in a significantly better place than when I started. Dr Olena helped me understand that therapy isn't about 'fixing' everything overnight - it's about having the right tools and support to navigate life's challenges. I only wish I'd overcome my reservations about therapy sooner. If you're in a demanding professional environment and struggling, I can't recommend Dr Olena highly enough. Her approach is practical, insightful, and genuinely effective."

I thought that I would drop you a note by way of some feedback. I came to your hospital yesterday for some “pre-med” bits, e.g. blood test, MRSA, ECG, BP, all in preparation for a procedure on my left thumb that is scheduled for 19th Feb with Chis James. I arrived about 15 minutes before the 12.30 appointment to be greeted by the quite delightful Margaret who promised to not to take too much blood!, so far so good, then off to see Aisha for the other bits to include the ECG. What a charming person Aisha was. I have to say that the whole process was quite remarkable, unlike many NHS environments where, its more that probable the appointment would run late, sometimes for very good reason. Certainly not so with your team at Ashford One. Super-efficient, smiley (esp. Margaret) a pleasure to visit, not often said when going to hospital. May I prevail on you to please pass on my grateful thanks to the two of them and of course all the “unseen” members of the team. All a credit to you.

Nurses and clinicians very friendly and made the experience much more bearable (Dom, Karen, Svetlana and Maria - thank you!) Main issue with my experience was inability to get basic medication required for pain relief post-surgery. Was told my procedure would be finished and we could leave around noon. But my pain medication (codeine and paracetamol, so nothing complicated!) had to be couriered from a local pharmacy. We waited over 4 hours for it to arrive and it never came. In the meantime my numbing had worn off and I was in a lot of pain - my partner had to go and ask the nurses if there was any spare codeine I could have while I waited. We eventually gave up and went home after many hours wasted, and had to pay for a private prescription at a pharmacy near home. Appreciate delay was with pharmacy and nurses did their best to get updates, but this system is not working.

I am so thrilled with my experience at Weymouth Street Hospital, London, after having had cataracts removed in both of my eyes, by Mr Hove of Blue Fin Vision. I can see clearly now, both distance and close up, reading, computer etc, etc.. ; no need for any glasses. Mr Hove is truly amazing - so caring, kind and professional. He explained everything to me in my assessment on Monday 8th December, in Chelmsford and actually had the operation in such a short time - Thursday 11th December! I am a new person now ! Doctor Carlos, the anesthetist, was also so kind and caring. I felt thoroughly at ease for my operation. Many, many thanks to everybody, including the kind nurse. My husband and I were both given a delicious meal afterwards, which was really appreciated - so welcome. Thank you very, very much for everything, everybody

I had a consultation on 2/12/25 with Mr Kalvarezos . He was absolutely brilliant . I felt so so reassured and he explained everything thoroughly and provided me with all the information I needed and more . He was very thorough and gave me plenty of time and I could ask everything I needed to know and I came away with so much information that was so so helpful and gave me clarity . He has a lovely way about him and is very pleasant to talk to and I am delighted to have had that consultation . His secretary Amanda was also incredible and she was lovely and caring and so so efficient and reassuring and she really does care and was so fast with E mails, phone calls and getting information together and she is also such a kind, warm hearted person . Wow ! Absolutely brilliant . Excellent .

She was extremely thorough with her diagnostics, explained everything to us very clearly, and guided his recovery in a way that made us feel calm, reassured, and well supported throughout a very stressful time. She was also incredibly generous with her time, answering multiple follow-up questions via email, which was immensely comforting for us as anxious parents. We have been seeing her for over six months now and I would highly recommend her — she is knowledgeable, caring, and someone we trust completely with our child’s care. I would also like to mention Sophie, the clinic manager, who is consistently helpful, professional, and responsive, making the overall experience at the clinic even better.

Arrived fifteen minutes before the agreed appointment time as requested. Waited a further 20 minutes before being taken into the pre Investigation booth. Advised to remove certain clothing and jewellery which I did. Ifudbt catch what the nurse ? Assistant quite says as she spoke so quickly. A reversed to this a that. I waited in the booty a further 10 -15 minutes. I opened the door. No one around. I went back into reception as I didn’t know where I should be. Wondering whether I should have returned to the reception. An assistant checked my details. Then a further assistant arrived and took me back to the booth. Scan itself. Could not understand the therapist heard part but again so quick. But held in there. Need more clarity clearer instructions. Speak slowly.

The staff were incredibly helpful, understanding and supportive. I explained my concern and was given an urgent appointment. Vanessa S is the perfect person for her role and puts people at ease immediately. She secured me a hearing test and a consultation appointment on the same day. She also helped me with some of the administrative elements of using my private healthcare as the process has changed since I last used it. Very helpful, friendly, professional and reassuring. I was greeted on arrival, immediately shown to the waiting area and taken straight through to my first appointment, even though I was a few minutes early. Cannot fault the service I received and the care and professionalism was consistent throughout.

The Clinic was a little difficult to find but once there the staff were excellent and very efficient. My appointment was on time and the waiting area was warm and comfortable. The consultant was very helpful and explained everything and answered all my questions. I wasn’t rushed or meant to feel unimportant. The nurse was helpful and reassuring. There had been an administrative problem that I had mentioned to the lady on arrival and that was completely sorted out by the time I left which was extremely efficient. I will have no hesitation on returning for a procedure in the near future. An excellent clinic

I went at 11 weeks for a scan and for a NIPT test. The booking process was excellent, the members on the phone were so helpful and considerate. My appointment with Dr Desi was on time and extremely thorough. She was so compassionate, caring and kind throughout the appointment, explaining everything each step of the way and being extremely thorough through the scan and explaining our NIPT options. It’s the best consulting experience I’ve had throughout my pregnancy. Reception staff were extremely helpful too. I would really recommend LPC to any expecting couples.
